I walked in the hotel at 3 am (most of the hotel isnt available). Thank goodness the room was in a good condition eventho the noisy comes from outside is quite loud. Its worth the paid which is RM99 for twin bed room per night. The location is quite good near to convenient shop and restaurant nearby. I recommend Yes hotel for those who in budget trip or unplan trip especially arrive at this town late night.

Stayed here in March for a few days, its clean, reasonable nice sized room. Overall it was quite clean and new. Getting too the room is quite a maze of corridors. Very quiet and located not far from Chulia Street. Price is reasonable for the condition and facilities. Bathroom was clean , shower was nice and hot. Overall not bad, would use again next time in Penang.

Was in Penang for a business meeting during the week where most of the other hotels are fully booked. Checked in early, told me that my room isn't ready. I told the staff I just wanted to pay to secure my room as I had a meeting to attend to. Staff again confirms that I cannot check in because the room isn't ready. 10 minutes later, I finally managed to convince them that I just want to pay, not even leaving my luggage anywhere in the hotel. I was issued with a receipt. Came back and finally checked in to the room. The stale cigarette smells lingers around the walkway and in the room. Took a dump, and to my horror, my human excretion would not flush! Aircon wasn't cold, I remember waking up sweating despite having the temperature set to 18. TV channels are basically useless. Sleep was as bad, they gave me the room facing the busy main road, and there is a mamak stall right opposite. The whole night was entertained by the mamak felle clonking his wok till morning. As my room is the first room beside the elevator, foot traffic and chattering can be heard all night long. Room does not have water kettle despite being provided with coffee and a mug. I supposed making our drinks by the water dispenser in the corridor is the in thing now. Convenient shop is nearby, bought some bottled water instead. Not too convenient to find out I was locked out of my own room later, apparently the door lock battery is weak and they could not open the door. I was stranded for an hour outside of my room whilst they try to tap the door open. Next morning, before heading out for another meeting, I told them about the toilet, and the door. Came back 12 hours later, to find that I am still locked out from my room. They have to use a masterkey to open, but my room key was rejected. Toilet wasn't fixed, and then I found out the phone wasn't working as well. So I can't call them, nor can I approach the front desk; my key card isn't working and I need to get them to open the door for me everytime I wish to leave the room. Internet is free, but if you would allow me to upload a picture, I can show you it's slower then 1981. Not to mentioned that on the first night, the bottom of my feet is actually black after walking around the room without my shoes. I decided to just keep my shoe on. The mamak stall guy continues clonking is wok. Good thing it's a Friday night! Will never ever come back here again. I would rather just sleep in my car.

The room is quite spacious and fairly clean but to get to the 3rd floor is like a maze. Pillowcase was dirty but the bathroom was ok. This hotel is so conveniently nearby the famous Roti Cana Transfer Road. Get your breakfast there. And walking distance to most eateries around the Chulia Street/Hutton area. The reception Ann and Chris were so helpful. They assisted us with our early check in because we had a loooong drive. The lobby looked unfinished but its great fora night stay. Wifi was ok.

Checked in late night bcoz my wife and i just wanted a place to rest before checking out early the next morning. Got ourselves a twin bed room with windows. Room was decorated fairly considering the price paid. It was a good sleep until cars start buzzing around the hotel. It was NOISY!! Maybe some sound-proofed doors would help. The hotel doors need them too.. I could recall all the chatter from guests coming back late night (drunk maybe?) while i was trying to sleep. When we were about to check out, i noticed the front desk was not keen on helping some thai tourists. It wasnt until i offered to help the thais that the front office staff hesitated to help them. It wasnt until we had breakfast that i realized that i the place i had dinner and breakfast was nearby the hotel.. Could have just walked. Hehe..

My son stayed at this hotel last 29th of October before midnight. He called me to confirmed that he already checked in at the hotel before he slept and told me that he have to wake up early morning for his appointment at the Embassy early morning. The next morning I called the hotel at 8 am Malaysian time because I cannot contact my son's phone and he is also off line on viber, fb, and line. The male indian accent guy who got my call connected me to a wrong room. Then I tried to call again the operator. The same guy answered my call and told me that my son's name is not included in their guest list. I gave him again and spelled my son's name but when I was trying to spell the surname of my son a woman interrupted and answered my call. She was very rude and and told me that they have no time to talking to me over and over. She confirmed that there was no guest under my son's name. While I was begging her to double check again the list of the guest names she said that it is not her problem if I have a missing son. I couldn't talk on the other line. I was so nervous. Maybe some bad had happened to my son. I asked my husband to call them again but he got the same answer. It was just a nightmare to us. We tried to call some friends in Penang that can help us locate our son. But even if they called several times to this YES hotel the staff never even take an attention why there are too many people calling looking for the same. They didn't even think that maybe there are some mistakes in their record. At 3:30 pm I got a call from my son telling me that he over slept and missed his morning appointment. I told him that I called several times at the hotel but they denied that he was checked in at their hotel. My son went down to the reception to find out that they misspelled his name from Brian to Brain. I can say that the staff's of this hotel are soooooo stupid and soooo rude. They are not service oriented people. It is my mistake that I asked my son to book his room there while there are plenty of good hotel's with good service in Georgetown. I will never recommend it again to anyone. They also must change the hotel name to NO HOTEL

I asked for a wake up call because they dont provide a power adapter from a regular one to a malaysia power socket and I cant rely on my almost dead phone to alarm for me. They didn't give me the a wake up call, and When my parents called the hotel several times to ask to be connected to my room they said no one is checked in to the hotel under my name. They even told my mom that they are not responsible for missing people. didn't even bother calling me for missing my check out time. I went down to the lobby, and they even asked me to pay the 2 hours overstay. I missed my appointment and have to stay longer and spend more money because of these awful people and their service. And yeah, They said they cant find my name because they misspelled my name from Brian to Brain. My last name was spelled perfectly though. I dont know what you should call that.
