So the price wasn't ideal but the room itself was perfect, though the walls are paper thin. My friend and i weren't feeling 100% so settled with this place. Breakfast wasn't included but there is a little cafe across the road that sells food, coffee and tea. Staff were friendly and obliging and helped with directions etc, though English wasn't great, we got by!

Stayed in Yes Hotel during a short visit to Penang. The location of the hotel is very convenient as it is in the center of Georgetown, but the hotel itself has not got much to offer.
My room had a King sized bed, a little desk, 32" tv and not much more.
When I got to the room to take a shower there was still empty shampoo bottles from previous guests in the bathroom, so house keeping could have done a better job. And the elevator only ran to the second floor, so I had to walk through the hallways of the entire second floor and find the staircase in the back to the third where my room was.
Staff are ok and friendly, but not very informative... If you need them they are there, but don't expect too much.
A nice place to stay, if you are planing on discovering Penang and using the hotel for sleeping... But not much more!

A budget hotel with comfortably clean room. Stayed in a king-size bedroom. All basic amenities are provided. No breakfast served in the hotel. Hotel cleaners were courteous and cleaned the room well.
Provide some extra channels on TV.

My son stayed at this hotel last 29th of October before midnight. He called me to confirmed that he already checked in at the hotel before he slept and told me that he have to wake up early morning for his appointment at the Embassy early morning. The next morning I called the hotel at 8 am Malaysian time because I cannot contact my son's phone and he is also off line on viber, fb, and line. The male indian accent guy who got my call connected me to a wrong room. Then I tried to call again the operator. The same guy answered my call and told me that my son's name is not included in their guest list. I gave him again and spelled my son's name but when I was trying to spell the surname of my son a woman interrupted and answered my call. She was very rude and and told me that they have no time to talking to me over and over. She confirmed that there was no guest under my son's name. While I was begging her to double check again the list of the guest names she said that it is not her problem if I have a missing son. I couldn't talk on the other line. I was so nervous. Maybe some bad had happened to my son. I asked my husband to call them again but he got the same answer. It was just a nightmare to us. We tried to call some friends in Penang that can help us locate our son. But even if they called several times to this YES hotel the staff never even take an attention why there are too many people calling looking for the same. They didn't even think that maybe there are some mistakes in their record. At 3:30 pm I got a call from my son telling me that he over slept and missed his morning appointment. I told him that I called several times at the hotel but they denied that he was checked in at their hotel. My son went down to the reception to find out that they misspelled his name from Brian to Brain. I can say that the staff's of this hotel are soooooo stupid and soooo rude. They are not service oriented people. It is my mistake that I asked my son to book his room there while there are plenty of good hotel's with good service in Georgetown. I will never recommend it again to anyone. They also must change the hotel name to NO HOTEL

I asked for a wake up call because they dont provide a power adapter from a regular one to a malaysia power socket and I cant rely on my almost dead phone to alarm for me. They didn't give me the a wake up call, and When my parents called the hotel several times to ask to be connected to my room they said no one is checked in to the hotel under my name. They even told my mom that they are not responsible for missing people. didn't even bother calling me for missing my check out time. I went down to the lobby, and they even asked me to pay the 2 hours overstay. I missed my appointment and have to stay longer and spend more money because of these awful people and their service. And yeah, They said they cant find my name because they misspelled my name from Brian to Brain. My last name was spelled perfectly though. I dont know what you should call that.

we booked through phone a week earlier and reconfirmed again on friday noon that we will checkin midnight. upon arrival we was told our reservation was cancelled and earlier nobody has told us to upfront any advance deposite. we came to penang with high expectation and this hotel has totally ruinned our first day.
the whole situation was dragged till late midnight only finally the manager brought us to a nearby available hotel and we have to pay the extra differences.
checked in the next day and given a room with kingsize bed so far that we have to take lift to second floor and then walk the stairs to third floor. and it stinked of cigerattes. this hotel is totally really terrible. will never come back and definitely will complaint to their headquaters in kl.

Difficult too rate this hotel. The rooms are nice and clean but the corridors are noisy and therefor I woke up many times each night.

I was there 2 weeks and whenever I asked for the manager he or she was always out. I am pretty sure the staff is left to run the hotel theirselves so when the wifi was not working, there was no one to reset it and therefore more than 24 hours no wifi.

We had a two single bed room and requested for room with windows, which was not a smart choice as it is noisy in the morning coming from the coffee shop opposite the hotel.
The room was decent except for some ants that were lurking around the room. There is a water purifier machine provided that is very convenient to get drinking water.
Staff were "averagely" friendly.
The price is reasonable and it is within walking distance to many attractions in the city.

I walked in the hotel at 3 am (most of the hotel isnt available). Thank goodness the room was in a good condition eventho the noisy comes from outside is quite loud. Its worth the paid which is RM99 for twin bed room per night. The location is quite good near to convenient shop and restaurant nearby. I recommend Yes hotel for those who in budget trip or unplan trip especially arrive at this town late night.
