This was my second time staying here (I stayed here 2 years ago). As others have said, the best part is the rooftop bar, the free drinks/ice cream and the staff there. They advertise movies but I didn't see any (I was expecting some kind of outdoor screen but all they had was a TV that didn't seem to be showing the advertised movie). I stayed just after CNY so it was fairly quiet in the hotel, only a few tables occupied in the restaurant each morning. Most of the staff seem to be Indian now and quite a few customers too. They could do with some Smile lessons. Lady at reception, Rita, was very good. She saw I was on my own and offered some advice and where to go/what to see. I appreciated that. The hotel is perfectly located for exploring the center of George Town and we had a welcome drink and some ice cream in the terrace of the hotel. The room are quite comfortable even though not luxurious and the breakfast is very good. The service was very friendly.

I had a spacious room with all amenities one would need (safety box, fridge, cable tv, bathrobe, slippers, umbrellas, iron and ironing board on top of the usual bathroom products). The bed was comfortable and my 2nd floor room quiet. Front desk service was efficient and friendly. At the roof top Asman and his son Adam were super wonderful service minded bartenders taking such good care of you. I enjoyed the relaxing moments there sipping the wine, unwinding after exploring Penang's attractions. The central location is also very good, even if the surrounding area of the hotel not so appealing, short walk to the heritage area. We love this hotel. The staff at this hotel made our trip very enjoyable and always greeted You with a smile from all the front line reception staff to Rita the manager and Asman who works on the rooftop. The hotel is also in a very convenient location and is modern, artsy and very clean. I would suggest paying extra for the breakfast as the food is very good from eggs, Chinese dim sum, pancakes to roti. You also get free pop in your fridge and two free drinks (wine or juice) as well as ice cream at the rooftop area. It’s a nice relaxing spot after a long day. They also offer daily movies as well with free popcorn. If you plan to go to Penang definitely book this hotel you will not regret it.

Okay hear is the deal this hotel the middle of George town easy access to the nearby street art work, the Jetty and all the restaurant and pub. The room very clean the bed very comfortable and shower work very well the design very attractive. The price reasonable under 100 mark it is good for a short stay I guess. The breakfast average now i have been in Langkawi and penang i think if you have been spoiled Thailand hospitality and breakfast don't expect this hear, the staff I don't mean they are rude but you can't get that sense of hospitality and smile I was rush out the breakfast due to the staff gloomy face. Please don't even think about stand outside the the bad smell it comes from everywhere ofcourse this is not hotel problems being a old city sewage system long forgotten.…

This is a great hotel right in the centre of George Town. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The rooftop was a nice place to hang out of an evening with two free drinks per guest and free cookies and ice cream!

This hotel is perfectly located in the centre of George Town and so it’s easy to get everywhere by foot. Room was tastefully decorated and have the boutique type of feel as in the name. As other reviews the roti at breakfast is delicious and evening drinks on the terrace were perfect and 2 complimentary wines plus ice cream is a really nice touch. Big thank you to Azman who manages the terrace and drinks each evening for being incredibly nice and friendly and remembering you by name. He is a credit to your hotel. Overall the team that work here were brilliant and also the manager (sorry didn’t get name) she came and said hello to us each morning at breakfast and again remembering our names. Thank you for a great stay.
