It was the attention to detail that set Noordin Mews apart. The room was made up during the day, but additionally, when you came in later in the evening you'd find the room made up a second time but with beautiful lavender oil burning and a different treat left on the bed each night.
The breakfasts were a bit hit and miss. The good - the fruit and coffee, shakshouka, French toast, dim sum, paratha. The not so good - the classic English-style breakfast, the muesli. The service was excellent though.
We also had an issue during our stay that was resolved beyond expectations. Eve is an exceptionally helpful and friendly host. When we checked in she gave us a very detailed summary of all the best places for Penang street food and answered all our questions about Georgetown.

We have just had a 5 night stay here, everything about it was just right. The location is about a 10 min walk to the heritage centre and lots of restaurants. Our room was lovely, turn down service a very nice touch, breakfast was really good and having a pool was lush!
Most importantly the staff - they were the most friendly helpful team we have met this trip - so thank you all you made our time in Georgetown very special!!

Love this hotel, chose it based on other reviews and they were all correct

Lovely old building beautifully restored, all the staff were helpful, friendly and kind.

Checkin was amazing and a map with all available food and activities provided.

Room was comfortable, the bathroom had gorgeous L’occutain products.

Room was by the pool which was lovely for a dip after a hot day of sight seeing

Breaky was on the deck which was very generous and preordered the night before.

Location was great, we were able to walk most places (including from the ferry) not that it is easy with no footpaths and a grab in Malaysia is so cheap.

Loved (especially my son) the little snack that was left each night in our room.

This is a wonderful hotel - small, lovely and with the most considerate staff. It has a limited kitchen, but they are happy to plate up and serve you anything you order off Grab or have delivered to the property. Our dog was wonderfully treated, as were were:). The staff was thoughtful and kind, and went above and beyond what their jobs required.

The hotel is strategically located in Georgetown, within the established nearby malls, ie. 1st Avenue & KOMTAR, convenience stores, ie. 7-Eleven, morning & night hawker stalls which are in walking distance. Great hospitality by the hotel staffs and room services. Our clean, comfy and quiet hotel room stay includes a variety of healthy breakfast, ie. orange juice, fresh fruits, tea / coffee with different asian delights daily and other tasty meals featured in the menu to be selected for. Highly recommended for those fur parents to bring along their furkids for a vacation as Noordin Mews is a pet friendly hotel with reasonable pet charges at RM28 per pet per stay. Besides, the hotel offers special rates for returning guests too (which is our 4th time stay here in Noordin Mews). Thank you for everything and we are looking forward to staying here in our next visit to Penang soon.

I actually reviewed after our July2020 trip but couldn't find my review. NoordinMews has been our Penang home since its inception and Belinda has set the tone since then. During this Covid19 period, the extra care taken to ensure our safety is faultless from disinfecting the cutlery at breakfast and contact points in the rooms to notifying us their daily temperatures in little notes. I dont need to reiterate on the hotel's cleanliness/ location etc as it's well documented on other reviews. NoordinMews will Not be as welcoming to us and our furkids Gucci the chi and Tiffy the poodle Without the team. Thank you and see you soon Belinda, Edric and Anong

We had such a wonderful time at the hotel and in Georgetown. The staff is more than friendly and eager to make sure you have a pleasant stay. We absolutely loved everything about the hotel 🏨 Our kids are quite sure, that we will never find a hotel and a staff this friendly wherever we go in the world. Our best recommendations. The staff will for sure help you whether you ran out of birthcontrol pills or need a map to go to the best shopping or food experience. The family is united. If we ever go to Georgetown again this is where we are going to stay.

A simple yet warmth boutique hotel where the staff are very friendly, attentive and super helpful. Easy check-in and check-out process. We came with a dog and the staff are so well-prepared, she gaves us a list which included all the pet friendly malls, parks and cafe. Dog can roam around the hotel :) Besides, breakfast is superb too!

Overall, we are very satisfied with the hotel and staff! will definitely stay here if we come Penang !

Amazing service, amazing location, amazing vibe. Felt truly at home from Day 1 of my stay. While Penang is food haven, the Shashuka served during breakfast has a special place in my heart - I ate it 3 days in a row!

Note: If you're not an early riser (I wake up about 8 daily), some rooms on the ground floor may have light shine in rather early (7am).

The staff were prompt, thoughtful and ever present to every single one of our needs. Keep up the good work, your effort didn't go unnoticed, Eve.
