Seven Terraces is a grand row of seven C19th Anglo Chinese terraces. The hotel is situated in one of Penang’s finest and most intact heritage streets which is in the very heart of the World Heritage Site and next door to the 1810 Goddess of Mercy Temple with just a few minutes walk from all the major icons. It successfully captures and celebrates the spirit of this world heritage town and its unique Peranakan culture.

Well located near center of Penang but just off the main toroughfare so as to be quiet. Comfortable and very unique layout. Not for those that have difficulty climbing stairs. Bedroom was on second level.

We loved staying at Seven Terraces. The hotel was beautiful full of lovely antiques and very comfortable. I loved the feeling of staying in somewhere where there had once been a shop with accommodation upstairs. The 4 poster bed was very comfortable and having an outdoor space where we could relax was good.

As my room was booked with breakfast and we have to leave early as we have to catch an early flight, breadfast takeaway was an uncut bread with ham, full size and cling wrapped, and left in fridge ov overnight. I have to literally bring out from fridge to thaw. Tomatoes and cucumber and ham are already stale. How would one hold a full size piece of bread with ham and tomatoes and cucumber dropping off??? Carpet and bed cover were old and smells strange.

Wonderful architecture using wood and original shop house elements. The stairs in the room are steep but its all good forexcercise! Bedroom upstairs and living downstairs. The weather in May too hot to use the private balcony. The pool area served delightful afternoon tea each day, with nonya cakes, tea or good coffee. The whole hotel is fullof antiques, all for sale! Dinner in the Kebaya dining room must be booked and its is a wonder. Chris Ong and his colleagues are wonderful hosts in this small boutique establishment. Thank you!

Incredible experience. Fabulous staff. Beautiful hotel. Strongly recommend it. The old Chinese straits style has been beautiful restored, and the whole experience seems out of the time. Very good cocktail Baar as well

Beautiful property, well located in Georgetown within walking distance of many good restaurants and tourist sites. Service was excellent with the concierge providing good recommendations and making reservations for us. I’d stay here again!

It is difficult to find any fault with Seven Terraces. The building is a delight, painstakingly restored and furnished to a very high standard, with furniture much of which is antique. The suites are well appointed, with beautiful furniture and fittings, spotlessly clean. The staff are attentive and prepared to go the extra mile. An excellent dinner is served in the grand dining room. Truly a memorable stay for all the right reasons and highly recommended.

Beautiful hotel in great location, the room was one of the nicest we had stayed in during a 3 month trip around Asia. The hotel restaurant also served us one of the best meals we’ve had during our holiday. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the afternoon tea served at the pool is a nice touch. Thoroughly recommend a stay here
