Great location, lovely building and rooms and exceptional staff. We arrived late Friday night yet someone stayed up to let us in and show us to our room. The interior is simple but the whole building has been renovated while still maintaining the history and ambience of the old building. We asked to check out half an hour later than...

It was a history lesson and a vacation at the same time.I stayed in Loft 17 and the view from the window was unique.Normally you only see the sea view or the street view of Penang but this view was something I have never seen before, it wasn't all posh and nice but the imperfections in the view made it...

This hotel is a gem in the heart of Georgetown (Unesco Heritage). This beautiful place is run by women, the sweetest staff (thanks Uma for everything you have done to make our stay incredible) ! Our room was a twin room and super clean! The only room with our own balcony which was very nice to relax. The room is...

i loved the room (tub room) that i stayed in. The rooms were spacious and the all wood everything gave it a vintage vibe. The bathrooms also very spacious and the bathtub was heavenly. The cafe downstairs was convenient and although i wasn't very impressed with the food (as there are sooooo many good eats nearby), their watermelon blast was...

Located in the heart of George Town (Little India) - all the places you want to visit are only a short walk. Great atmosphere - heritage hotel that was once a Chinese chemist shop - helpful, welcoming staff, and a relaxed restaurant. The rooms are comfortable, and exploit attractively the architectural features of the old building. George Town is becoming...

Beautiful heritage building and lovely modern rooms. Traveled with 15 month old baby and was perfect as all sights were walking distance. Staff at hotel are super friendly and very helpful and accommodating with all the extras required for the baby like bath tub, fruit for snack-time, etc. Nice bright airy bistro on ground floor.

Passing by we went in for an early evening meal. The choice was limited but good and satisfying. It is sited on the corner so you cannot miss it and it worth seeing the old exhibits at the back of the dining area.

My experience at Ren I Tang was wonderful. The hotel is located in Little India, an ideal spot for great food and site seeing. The women who run the hotel are lovely, and were very helpful with giving recommendations and directions. The rooms are clean and quaint, with air-conditioning and overhead fans. The breakfast is a simple continental breakfast of...

We have just returned from a week at Ren I Tang, Georgetown and we can't speak highly enough of the wonderful experience: Incredibly friendly staff who went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible, accommodation in an exquisitely renovated terrace link house with heaps of character, a downstairs cafe/restaurant providing delicious home style cooking, all...

“We had a family room which meant two rooms - a large room with plenty of space and chairs and a table plus a smaller room towards the back. The main room had shutters opening out on the the busy street below - fantastic for watching the world go round. But then shut up tight at night to ensure no noise. Perfect.”
