My girlfriend and I are now at the end of our four night stay. It has been brilliant and we would definitely recommend this hotel. Staff 10/10. Extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast. 7/10. A light continental style. Not fancy but it doesn't need to be in this heat. Room. 9/10 We stayed in room 17 which is a loft room....

Beautifully refurbished building gives you a feel of how things were an era ago. Very helpful staff, if you have heavy luggage you'll get to check out the pulley in action. Great location as everything is within walking distance. Not suitable if you can't walk up stairs as there is no lift and stairs are quite steep.

Beautiful old building with loads of charm. Uma and Glory provided Outstanding Service during our 4-night stay. Cold A/C, Hot Water Shower, Free Wifi and a comfortable bed created a fantastic environment for the perfect getaway. Great breakfast featuring local favorites, fresh juice, toast and bananas. Antique Chinese Herbal Museum and Cafe downstairs.

This place is as personal as an inn could get and the people are lovely. It's also a walking distance from the peranakan mansion, Khoo Kongsi and lots of great eateries. But I thought this place was hugely overrated on the booking website and I wouldn't go back for too many reasons including the following: - the place was full...

Bit of an overdue review, we stayed in Jan 16 and this place is beautifully and tastefully refurbished. There is a small museum type thing in the hotel explaining the history. Room was clean, bed comfy, easy walk to everywhere really. There is a free bus service in Penang which we found useful if you walk far out and can't...

Had a wonderful few days here at this historic hotel. It is excellently located in Little India with fabulous restaurants and attractions nearby. The staff are incredibly helpful and will assist with any request, no big or too small! They felt like friends instantly. Our room was beautiful! The wifi worked great and the place was very clean. Oh, and...

REN i TANG's location - in the heart of Little India - was amazing. Bollywood music pumping, shops galore at your door-step and places to eat ,aplenty -right in the heart of George Town. The beautiful, authentically restored building is a credit to the owners and the Bistro down stairs is like a refuge from the busyness of Penang. The...

What a great find. We booked on a whim and arrived exhausted after a long and difficult journey to find just the place we had been hoping for. Although our room was on the top level with two challenging flights of stairs, it was extremely clean and comfortable, cozy and quiet. It wasn't fancy, but it didn't pretend to be....

Stayed here only for one night, but it was an exceptional stay. The room was quite spacious, clean, charming and well presented with high ceilings and a great bed. The hotel itself is beautiful. Great cafe downstairs and very good location near Little India. Only downsides: a bit noisy in the area, and the very steep steps heading to the...

Location is right in the heart of the action. Rooms are nice, comfortable, well appointed and full of character. Mine had full height glass doors with wooden shutters opening out onto Lebuh Cina. Enchanting to watch the streetscape below, bustling with activity. Staff are awesome. Uma the young lady in charge is a fantastic host. Highly recommended for those looking...
