My girlfriend and I stayed here for two nights. The place is fantastic. Nice amenities, really friendly staff, and a cool vibe. We would definitely come back and I recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in Georgetown. The only downside is that it is a 20-30 min walk from the UNESCO heritage site and the heart of Georgetown. For us that was actually a plus, as it was quite, and not too long of a taxi ride or a walk from anywhere we wanted to go.

Lovely rooms. Pleasant and friendly staff. Breakfast was boring and Western. I suggest a tasty Penang breakfast in a nearby hawker stall or cafe. Walking to the historic district is difficult because of very few zebra crossings (some are even painted over black) and speeding motorbikes.

The guesthouse is in need of a redecoration, although quirky in style it is tired looking and dated. The bedroom door is locked with a bar and padlock which is stiff and not easy to use. The safe was broken and even if it worked it is not nailed in just placed in the wardrobe. The wardrobe can hang about 6/8 garments only and other than that there is nowhere else to put your clothes other than your case. The bathroom was nice but the towels are nearly threadbare and so old some had holes in. Breakfast is basic and unappetising with little choice. In all it is very overpriced for what it is and not worth it.

This hotel is quirky and more shabby than chic. It’s location is ok. The staff fairly helpful. Some of the electrical appliances are a little tired and possibly dangerous. This is not a budget hotel so I would expect the level of cleanliness and standard of accommodation to be higher.

Booked this place based upon the reviews. As other travellers have noted, the promo photos do not reflect the current state. Obviously hasn’t been updated since opening and definitely looking worn and grubby. Can’t fault the staff. Fantastic friendly service. Nice traditional room with huge bathroom but quite tired and worn. 15 minutes walk into the ‘centre’ with shops and eating options nearby. The breakfast was awful. Overall, decent value for money but I’d probably look elsewhere next time.

Stayed 4 nights from Sunday 19th May in rooms J and K. A fantastic little gem in the streets of Georgetown. Very clean and spacious rooms, food excellent and very helpful staff who went out of their way to help you with any requirements. Make sure you take a dip in the pool after the heat of the day. Near all the food halls, but you must visit the Teksen Restaurant about 15 minutes walk away. You cannot miss it for the crowds queing for a table.

This guest house has so much potential, but lack of maintenance really left the place looking sadly neglected and pool with green algae around the sides etc didn’t entice us in. Room however was comfortable and the location especially if you get a scooter is excellent. Breakfast minimal but ok.

This is indeed my second visit and stay in this cozy Peranakan hote. Just love this place; its so quaint, so relaxing and bring me back to my childhood kind of feeling where I could just run into my neighbors house and would be immediately invited to eat something or other. After a hot day shopping and eating outside, its so relaxing to just take a dip and relax at the small indoor pool. Hotel rooms are generally clean and the toiletries supplied are generous. This time, I was given the room just beside the indoor pool; the only complain I had was that there was crack between the door as the door to not shut neatly; so I did inform the hotel and they did a quick fix (tied a a blanket to cover so that no one could look in). I hope that they have fix this problem by now. It would be good not to have your breakfast here as there are many options within walking distance outside. The famous Aunty that makes amazing coffee like 'Starbuck' with foam and a design on it, is just 5 mins away; so you may to explore that. I would like to make a special mention about a staff: Sandra. She is so helpful, patient and kind. She was able to guide us on where to go and how to get to where we wanted to go. She even took out the right maps to help us get around. She is very obliging to our request. She even gave us umbrellas to carry as the sun was really very hot outside. Always greeting with a smile whenever she sees us. Thanks Sandra!

I loved Noordin Street House for its lovely staff, its beautiful rooftop lounge/garden, its refreshing indoor pool, its unique bedrooms, its great location on the edge of the old town, away from the noise and hustle/bustle, but convenient to street food, restaurants and malls. But when the holes in your bed's mosquito net are patched with duct tape, instead of replacing it or sewing it, you know your hotel has seen better days. Otherwise, air con which was extremely necessary, worked very well, as did the wifi. The included breakfast spread was ok, but boring, although occasionally they would offer local, instead of western breakfast, which was delicious. Coffee was weak. All in all, I enjoyed my stay. The staff was sweet and the location was great (grab taxis--their version of uber--were easy to get and extremely cheap) and the room was comfortable enough, but given some of the hotel's shabbiness, I thought it was a bit overpriced.

Little, nice hotel, close to the old (world heritage) center (5 minutes walk). Small but nice inside pool. Roof terrace. Solid breakfast in the morning. Very helpful, nice staff. Shopping fan or just looking for a cool place? Big, airconditioned shopping malls just around the corner. Also many restaurants close by. The hotel needs however renovation.
