Lang Hoose is amazing place with friendly staff. An unusual atmosphere in the style of Georgetown. Very cozy and quiet place. The first time I went there, I was shown that this is a museum. With great pleasure I will return there again. The only little negative - sometimes you can hear the steps of neighbors from above. But the beauty, comfort and uniqueness of this place take over that.

We had to choose this accommodation as there were no other nearby hotels left with rooms n attached bathroom. Else with this cost and no breakfast we would have never chosen. Pros: Double room with bathroom was clean n spacious enough. Bed was clean n comfortable. Good interiors. Location is very good as all street arts are in walking distance. But then there are lots more guest houses in same area. Next time I'll try too book earlier for a better option. Cons: Although we mentioned arrival timings in advance and reached on time, I think they don't bother. Conveniently said 'you have to wait for 30 mins, can't help, staff is out for lunch, room is not ready!' Wow! what a welcome note!We asked if we can get another room just to take little rest or freshn up quickly in that

Hi MG G, We appreciate all your feedback and rating that has been given to us. First of all we would like to mention that the building was build in such a manner and there are lots of rules and regulation we need to get approved for before any renovation is being taken. In our booking we had already mention no breakfast, so we believe that you must have known this before hand. About the waiting issue, due to short handed and fully booked we at Lang Hoose tried our level best to satisfy everyone needs with our limit. As we mention a guesthouse does not operate like a 5 star hotel and staff here are only works from 9 am till 5 pm. We want all our guest to feel like this is their home. Thank you for staying with us and have a good day ahead. Lang Hoose Management

We enjoyed our two night stay at Lang Hoose. It's a beautiful old shop house converted into a truly charming hotel. We loved our room with a romantic four poster bed and comfortable mattress. But keep in mind the building is old and quirky with steep stairs. The wifi was sketchy and we often heard our neighbors. To us, this did not matter. The location is terrific -- near restaurants, a hawker center and art galleries with little traffic at night. If you're willing to overlook the small things in order to experience a very unique hotel this might be for you. Want more travel tips? Please visit our blog at twolostamericans.com

Location is good for discovering Georgetown. It's an old Shophouse remodeled to a guesthouse, with timber floors on the upper two levels. What that means is you have to put up with the footsteps of whoever is living above you - whenever and however often they move around their room. Narrow stairs up and down from the rooms is also part of having a room here. The middle-aged Indian gentleman "Michael" on duty one of the days of our stay had great hospitality skills, was very informative, and made us feel welcome. The staff member on duty most days for the five days we stayed there did not demonstrate any hospitality skills, whatsoever. Answered questions in a functionary way when asked but in the main, did not engage with guests whatsoever making us feel unwelcome and an

I hobbled in here in desperate need of a plaster as I couldn't find a pharmacy anywhere. The owner promptly obliged and also gave us a glass of ice cold water each. He really was a lovely man. If we didn't already have somewhere to stay we would have definitely booked a room here.
