We staying in Family room (301) , the room air-cond was not cold and the bathroom not that really clean. There is no additional blanket provided. The parking is beside the road can make us not sleep at night as worried about some police or JPJ summons. The lift light was blinking when we go in and press the floor make us scary. It good for one night stay but not for couple

Overall, the hotel looks clean and spacious but the receptionist will be your worse nightmare that can ruin your holiday mood in just mere seconds. The receptionist basically don't greet you and gave you a dull and unfriendly look. The first impression of this receptionist had forced me to look for another place to stay cause I don't want to be treated like I'm not worthy enough sort of feeling. The receptionist also very rudely ordered (yup not a request) one of my family member to just sit over at the couch. I will not tolerate this kind of attitude. Additionally, compare to others, this hotel is a bit more 30 to 40 RM expensive than other nearby budget hotels. Currently, right beside on the left of the hotel there is some construction happening. It will not be an ideal place to stay because of that reason too with loud noises and dust blowing around.

This is a 2.5 star hotel, within 5 mins walk of the Penang Ferry Terminal and main public bus station. The rooms are basic, very clean with adequate furnishings, hanging rails and a good shower room. No English TV channels but good wifi reception. The bed was hard but very comfortable. Tea and Coffee making facilities n a small supply of local biscuits. Friendly and helpful check in staff.

Staff are really friendly and helpful. Location ideal from ferry port, a two minute walk if you're arriving from Butterworth. Rooms are extremely clean - ours didn't have a window so felt a little enclosed but fine for our two night stay.

Clean room, bathroom and towels etc. The owner was really helpful and helped us with a broken suitcase. Reasonable price and they were happy for us to book online which was slightly cheaper. Free cookies and water. Bed was slightly hard but actually was a comfortable nights sleep. Really close to the port for langkawi and the street art in Penang.

We stayed here for few nights and best part of it was absolutely always happy, friendly staff and they were always ready and willing to help you. Room was not that big, but was clean and tidy. Hotel is in good location, in the evenings you just have to walk few blocks to find little india and few blocks more to find some nightlife, but in the end it's good that hotel street is not that busy, cose nights were really quiets

We booked a king size bed room and based on the picture, the room looked spacious. However, when we checked-in we were allocated a tiny room with barely space to move about with our luggage. Room was also very smoky, so requested to room move. Size was much bigger on ground floor. No window, but no issue to us as we required more space. No much view anyway for the hotel location and no window meant more quiet... Good location close to street art and eateries. convenient.

I'd like to give G Times a better review but unfortunately if you want to actually sleep you're better off someplace else. There is a major construction site right next door and it looks like they're just getting started with the build so an afternoon siesta is off the table. Understandable, but the big problem comes after dark. Around 10p.m. the night desk clerk invites a group of his friends to come hang out in front of the hotel. They stay ALL NIGHT! Talking loudly, and laughing away until about 6:30 a.m. My first night I went down and asked the clerk if he could ask his buddies to keep the noise down...ignored. The next morning I asked the assistant manager to have a word with the lad...didn't happen. The hotel has potential with close proximity to the ferry jetty and very clean rooms. They just need to either enforce a no loitering rule out front or better yet, replace the night desk clerk.
