Many restaurant and convenience store around.
Close to everywhere to PAH or Inland Hospital. Mostly Asian stay here. Stay at room 301 you can hear the traffic outside. House keeping forgot to clean the room but FO staff able to replace towels and water. The false alarm make noise 2 night in the row, Internet is fair.
The location is great! Next to a food street and within walking distance to 1st Avenue Mall.
Room was very basic but clean nonetheless. Bed was okay for a budget hotel. They also provide mineral water every day after housekeeping. Shower water pressure was great and the shower was easy to use. No fumbling around to get the right temperature.
HOWEVER, the walls need some serious soundproofing. I could hear when my next door neighbours close and open with toilet doors, when people walk along the corridors and when some kid decide to start laughing and screaming at 1.00am in the morning on my first night at the hotel.
Granted, the hotel staff response was quite prompt. They managed to locate the source of the noise and inform the occupants to lower their volume. BUT, I had to go all the way down to the reception for this as there's no phone inside the room.
Also, if you are staying at the hotel when its fully occupied, you cant ask for extra pillows for a double bed. They can only provide 1 more, which is already in the room. That means someone has to sleep with only 1 pillow.
So yup, stay away if you are a light sleeper.
The 1st night, hair dryer suddenly explode and blackout while using it.
Customer service is NOT FRIENDLY and HELPFUL at all.
You can hear so clearly when someone walks outside and talking, not so comfortable.
Yet it is close to komtar and food centre.
Reasons:
Really basic, tiny and cramped rooms - we initially booked a standard bedroom but decided to pay to upgrade to a bigger room (family room) which is still small. There are no place to put your luggage, no fridge, no safe deposit box in room and you got to squeeze to get into the toilet. wifi reception in rooms are poor
Very noisy- extremely noisy especially lower floors by both external and internal factors. External factors - This hotel faces the main road with heavy traffic as well loud music from nearby bars. The walls are so thin that you can hear noises from next room as well as from lobby area. Can't get to sleep in such a noisy room
Cleaniless - if you forget to put up the sign for them to request them to clean the room, too bad, you'll have to sleep in whatever condition you left the night before. They should default to clean up room instead.
Location - ok
Price - can get better hotel at similar prices.
