Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
Stayed 3 nights. Comfortable room and friendly staff. The only downside are the dim ceiling lights which made it hard to read at night. I suggest that reading table lamps or standing lamps be provided.

Location is right smack in the middle of every thing . Major shopping food eatery and Commercial bankings. Room updated with all amenities. Ironing and hair dryer facilities in the room . Had a good rest cause wasn't effected by any traffic noise from outside

We had simple experience here, because it is walking distance to my friend wedding dinner Restaurant. Location - Probably need to drive to city area, walking can be done for short walk along the beach. Room- It was spacious room, got a mini massage chair, everything are fine. *maybe can improve on the lightning , a little dark.

The room was great, clean and comfortable. Hotel manager Mr KernYih Boo was meticulous in hosting my group as we were there for our annual meeting. The location was central, as we were near a lot of eateries area, and taking a grab car transport to further places like Gurney mall was jus 10-15 mins away, short distances. The airport transport was seamless and smooth without any hiccups. We do have some last min changes like airport transport timing, and our request was fulfil within a short time frame. The seminar was great and the setting was done up nicely. At our last day, Mr Boo got us a thoughtful gift from the state government and our group was very happy and touched.
I would highly recommend Vouk Hotel Suites for your meetings or leisure stay.

I check in on 27/9 , executive room they mentioned with a bathtub . When enter the room , the room were very smelly , the bed lights was blinking , the towel are also smelly . The rooms also takes times to cold (30 mins probably ). With this price I think 💭 I have multiple better choice than this hotel . Outside and lobby looks new , but the room furniture looks like antic shop . The massage chair in the room is made for kids I predict . The parking area also another joke , you park your car then you will know . The only thing good about this hotel , they have multiple tv channel for your family

The 1st ever hotel per experience that provide Massage Chair!
We choose this hotel solely because of the bath tub for our kid because pool is not open during the lockdown.
And our choice is correct!! The room is really nice, with wide space of bathroom - they divide between 2 area , 1 for bath tub, 1 for shower .
The location is in the middle of Penang. but u need a Waze Apps to go to places as the road is only one way.
Breakfast is in set. Need to choose between continental/local. Simple and good.
Good service overall!

It's a comfy room, with a nice sea view. The room is clean and spacious but I wish the room could be a bit brighter as its a bit too dim n gloomy. This room even comes with a small massage chair and it's in bright, red colour. Very good indeed. Parking is quite limited. Overall, it's good enough for an overnight stay.

I have used this hotel on several occassions before the Covid-19 lockdown and have given them full 5-stars for some years. So I returned to Penang recently and decided to stay with them. From the reception to the room, it has deteriorated so much. At first sight, reception asked me in malay what I wanted. I told her politely I was checking in. The 2 receptionists continued to count cash and ignored me. 5 minutes later, she asked me for my ID. She told her colleague "another one without form". Her colleague asked if I had a booking. I said yes. So she went through a stack of forms and finally found mine. I checked into the room minutes later. I found ants, some curry stains on the dressing table, a rocking bed with one side tilted, shower box full of greasy, yellow stains on the floor, and a sink that leaked water. I called the reception many times and no one came to check. Finally reception called back and said I owed them money. They will be charging me extra fees, something which agoda did not clarify when I booked. This time I asked for a room change. They came in about 15 minutes and moved me to a smaller room at the end of the corridor. It has no view. The windows faced some wall. But at least it was cleaner and bed wasn't rocking. Felt like a downgrade. Anyway, we settled down cause we were tired after the long drive. Breakfast was ok but the roti jala counter was displayed without any food or staff there. We stayed 3 nights here and paid too much as the extra fees added on. I am sceptical of agoda now as I was again charged and my card was compromised that I had to report a dispute. Imagine the hassle during a short trip. So my trust towards Vouk Hotel and Agoda in 1 trip had gone from hero to zero. I think the travel industry has a lot to work on after the lockdown.

A hotel next to a hospital, and close to Gurney Drive. This hotel has been offering special rates of RM88 per nite. Low and behold, the service is maintained as usual, and the room as good as the rack rate.
What I love about this hotel, is the special massage chair, however at RM 88, this is not offered, you need to pay a bit higher to get the chair.
But that is ok, the room is excellent, the pillows fluffy. The front-desk are always nice and helpful, what more do you need. Feeling special, at a special rate, makes this hotel special.

Dated rooms. Water leaking in toilet. Loose closet doors. Did not provide readily hand soap . Only 1 towel ready in room. U have to request for everything and it takes a long time to arrive. Request to change rooms but instead they send maintenance at late hour to repair. Hotel should have allocated a good room without issues if guest check in late .
The check out service is a torture. Informed earlier the night before to prepare invoice but they refuse Instead they took 30mins the mext morning to prepare docs.
