The selected flooring with natural earthy tones will definitely ensure the feel of immersion is present in the Grand Orient Hotel when the visitors step into the hotel lobby. Also, the green wall in the hotel lobby is designed to maintain the natural ventilation. These green surroundings will be as lush as possible to ensure a greater sense of relaxation and nature. Besides that, the landscape with more than 20 species of the Amazon native plants has moved toward the style of dense jungle. The utilization of the Amazon theme would be the perfect to drive the guests close to nature.

Lovely pool and good size water park for the family day out. However the changing room @ toilet need maintenance, some of the toilet has no light, very dark and very creepy. Told the staff about the faulty but no one even take a note for the repairing. Went back for the waterpark next day and still the same no lighting and creepy toilet, very disappointed.

Very dirty hotel and very dirty pool, no pool cleaning made garbage in the pool and around the pool very much like food waste in the pool, no staff guarding the pool no pool guard guarding the safety of guests very dangerous, very dirty room garbage under the bed, torn towels, toilet drain, dirty mini bar, dirty drawers, hotel aircond is not cold, very dissatisfied. hope the management can monitor and solve such problems in the future.

The room is small, and just basic. The parking is very limited, however the guard is being helpful enough to arrange a lot for me. The hotel offered small-concept water-part within the premise with 3 types of slides to offer and lazy river too. Value for money!

Stayed here for the water park as well as our transit point for our next journey Room was clean albeit small in size. Simple amenities was provided and water pressure was fairly good. The hallway leading to the room was also well maintained There is only 1 lift serving the establishment so if there is a lot of guest the wait can be a bit longer. Parking is available in front of the hotel but not many lots. Water park entry was included in our stay. However there was some pitfalls during our visit. Towels was not provided for hotel guest which I find it to be troublesome. I would suggest the management to provide it for your guest. Using the same towel at the water park to dry off after a clean shower in your own hotel room is certainly a NO. Workers was cleaning and scrubbing the dirt and algae in the pool while we were there. So you could imagine the end results. We didn't stay long in the pool. If the management plans to clean the water park maybe a better plan can be carried implemented without affecting the guests Washroom and showers is available at the water park. Stayed at Grand Orient for one night for a business trip, and even though the hotel catered more for families with children (they have an in-house water park, though I did not try it out), I was generally satisfied with my stay. Room: Being relatively new certainly helped them in this regard, as the room's fittings were good and intact and the room itself felt fresh despite not having any windows. Bed and linen were comfortable, and the room was equipped with basic amenities. They provided an ironing board and iron which was a handy addition. Toilet was clean and modern. My only complaint - the toilet had a small tube (most probably for draining air-conditioning condensate water) sticking out of the ceiling directly on top the sink, which dripped water once in a while. Definitely something that needs to be improved on. Also, the room was quite small and felt slightly cramped. Location: Not very conducive, as there are hardly any shops within walking distance. The nearest convenience store would be a petrol station, about a 5-minute walk away. You would have to drive out for food and goods. Staff: Professional and welcoming. No complaints. Conclusion: Even though the Grand Orient had an in-house water park and was more family-oriented, the hotel premises was generally clean. It is probably not well suited for certain target groups, so do bear in mind what your priorities are before considering this place. All in all an ok place, though I may have scored it higher if it weren't for the odd water leak issue in the toilet.…

The room was small but comfortable especially the bed..the cleanliness in the room also good..but the theme park not really clean..the wall n cement was dirty and I with my kids got itchy all over our body after swimming there..the management should pay more attention on it since we need to pay to enter the theme park..the breakfast also moderate..not many choices..

Grand Orient Perai Hotel, Penang has been in business for more than a year. It is considered a boutique hotel as it is a small number if rooms less than 50. Located behind BHP Petrol Station and BMW Showroom as landmarks to exit from the main road to the hotel. The rooms are on the small side and compact but quite comfortable. Air-cond. worked well, there is a cupboard to keep clothings, powerful shower spray, safe deposit, good sizeable TV with very clear pictures. For double bed there are 4 pillows which we like it very much. They have good supporting staff willing to assist. The breakfast though with limited choice but very delicious. The nasi lemak is the best and taste better than 5-Star hotel. Parking is available for about 30 cars but the are parking spaces outside the gate. Free wifi is available plus coffee & tea maker. Iron board is also available but we need to request for the iron without any problem. The hotel has a nice water theme which is a plus factor for family with children with entry fee of RM 15 for staying guests and they allow non hotel guests to use the facility too at slightly higher price than the staying guests. We find it a very interesting hotel with unique design using cut stone found in Bali. It is quite low priced hotel but with luxurious appearance. Don't judge the hotel by its outside looks because inside it is like a jungle.This hotel is shockingly amazing, this hotel is for mostly a family-friendly hotel and all the types of people who travel, it has a waterpark which will give lots of kids or even adults a lot of fun in it which has a couple of slides, a jacuzzi, a lazy river and a large swimming pool. The cafe which is located downstairs is so good! it shocked my taste buds of how good it is, it has fried rice, fried noodles, sausages and juice which is really nice. It has a gym too. The services here is amazing, the people here are really friendly and all of the toilets are really clean. The rooms are a bit small but it has an amazing bed which gave an amazing sleep. This hotel is located near condos and apartments which are really quiet. We have staying here for a week and so far it is amazing for our whole family! Tan Family…
