Good to be back with familiar faces: Mr Ian, Mr Ben, Mr Jeff, Chef Faizal, front desk team, koffee and makan kitchen team.

The food is good: be it breakfast, lunch or dinner. They do serve customize dulang set for those eager to try the authentic Malay dishes.
Cool tasty pastries and sweet bites with the arrival of new pastry chef.

The team from front desk, to house keeping to f&b were attentive and friendly.

The only setback is the overall AC (aircond) for rooms located at Block 3.
Also would recommend them to install some towel hook for the suite and some adjustment to the rain shower height for junior suite (go for adjustable height).

Overall, stay were always good.

Thank you so much.

Discovered this when wanting a quick getaway. A huge ''step jump'' from the previous Pullman property as it has been renovated with rooms that reflect the standard of the brand. Staff is super friendly, helpful & go all the way out to provide customer delight.
Fruit basket, snacks and cake i the room were an extra delight that don't cost a huge amount but can please almost everyone.
Breakfast at Makan Kitchen is excellent. Infinity pool is small but with a good view of the lake. Splash pool for kids is the highlight and sets this place apart from all other hotels
Well done, Doubletree Putrajaya - you most certainly set the bar for the other hotels in KL

Thank you DoubleTree by Hilton Putrajaya Lakeside for hosting us during New Year’s.

We booked a King Guest Room and got upgraded to King Executive Lakeview Room due to my Diamond status (suite was not available yet).

The breakfast was really good and one of the best we’ve ever had. Service was impeccable. Evening mocktail was served at The Koffee since their Executive Lounge is not ready yet.

Pros:
✅ Hotel is new and room was spacious.
✅ Breakfast is simply the best among other hilton properties in Malaysia.
✅ Facilities were top notch! They even have a splash pool for kids.
✅ Staff service was impeccable. Special shoutout to Front Office Officers, Mr Ilyas and Ms Fida who assisted us during our stay.

Cons:
❌ Only wing 3 and wing 5 (partially) are open. The others are still under renovation.
❌ Since this is a new hotel with high occupancy, you will need to expect higher room rates.
❌ The hotel common areas are freely accessible by public which might raised concerns over the safety for in house guests.

Overall rating: 4.9 out of 5

Our experience started out fine, we were given cookies at the reception by a very friendly receptionist.

The property is huge but dated. Walking from reception to our room (in another adjacent building) is ok but there is no shaded walkways, it’s all open air and subject to the elements.

The room itself is average, we had booked two rooms facing the lake.

The cleanliness however is appalling. We found a dead cockroach under the bed, the toilets were clean but because it’s all black tiles, you can’t really see the dirt unless you look closely; the shower doors weren’t properly cleaned, there is moss and old, icky dirt stuck at the corners. Water pressure to the bidet is low, which basically makes it pointless to have. There’s food flies lounging around the room, possibly from food that was consumed by the previous guest.

We had ordered room service 3 times in total. The first time was great, they brought the food within 30 minutes, charged it to our room. The food quality however was subpar. The char kuey teow was soggy and tasted like ginger, which isn’t how it’s normally supposed to be prepared! If your chef is gonna make changes to classic local recipes, make sure it’s taste-tested by others and please CLEARLY state that this is an adaptation of a local classic so the guest can expect it to be different. The 2nd time was an annoyance, not only was the food late but they told us to pay immediately for it! Apparently the wait staff was told we had not paid a deposit for the room but in fact we had paid a deposit to cover our entire 2 night stay for two rooms! But being cooperative guests, we decided not to make a fuss and paid immediately. 3rd room service, no questions about payment. Talk about inconsistent service!

Also, we were told to leave our food trays from the room service outside the room but they didn’t clean it up the next day resulting in food flies buzzing around.

The breakfast was ok on the first day, but the 2nd day, it was downright horrible. Scrambled eggs were soggy, bacon and sausages was boiled and not fried, again, if you’re gonna offer a healthy alternative to everyday norm, please state it clearly somewhere! Freshly baked bread wasn’t fresh either, tasted at least a day old.

Lastly, the pool isn’t cleaned regularly, not what you’d expect from something with a “Hilton” brand in it. The kids pool had dark tiles in it and so you can’t easily see dirt in the water but there were small leaves and other icky stuff floating about if you looked closely.

Have sense of 5 Star feel on this newly renovated DoubleTree hotel. I booked for 3 days and 2 night through their direct website without using any third party app such as Agoda and booking.com, you can get little cheaper from direct Hilton booking. I suggest for guest to be Hilton member as can access to digital room key . Thanks for receptionist who offer me additional breakfast for another person WITHOUT any charges. Honestly saying , the breakfast choices was awesome.. there is Indian, Malay, Chinese, and western cuisine. Taste good , friendly staff, clean environment. Forget to say, your kids will enjoy to play on their Splash Pool ( Mini waterpark) .

Negative side was, need to pay RM5 for each parking exit even after card validation. Guest are paying so much for each stay, the management should offer free parking. Urmm..

We booked 2 rooms 5301 and 5302 for 2 nights on 5 Jun.
Our driver took about 6 hours (including 1hr+ lunch at Seremban Seafood Village) and we were exhausted upon arrival.
It was refreshing to enjoy their refreshments at the lobby and the boys were brightened up for their signature chocolate cookies offered by Jass.
Check in was a breeze as Liya is both patient and friendly, explaining the facilities around the premises and assisted us with the additional roll away beds.
Our rooms are clean and reasonably spacious and I must say the resort is really nice and scenic (do walk around and checkout the lakeside area during your visit, apart from their infinity and Splash Pool which is always popular with families and kids).
Throughout our stay, Jeffrey (Front Desk Manager) is always around to share with us the background/history of the hotel, show us their modern gym setup and the yet to open rooftop pool at level 2, as well as addressing all our queries.
In fact, the staff we met throughout our stay have all been friendly and smiley, including the security and cleaning team. Apologies that I did not capture all the names.
At the Makan Kitchen, where we have our daily breakfast, we were further impressed by the service of Victoria. She recognized our family and always go beyond to ensure that all our needs are attended to, including getting us a table for 7 (including 2 old folks and their comfort with the high chairs), etc. Saufi and his team at the counter never fail to greet and smile at all the guests coming and leaving after breakfasts.
Thank you Loges for suggesting the take-away coffee and tea during the checkout as our driver was early. It was nice to bid farewell to both Izzati and Liya before we depart for our next destination.
This was overall a short but relaxing stay.
It was heartening to see that all the staff really made us feel not just at ease, but welcoming like our home. Thank you team for the heart-ware that you provided to make our stay a memorable one!

As someone who are very familiar with Hilton hospitality around the world including Malaysia, Double Tree Putrajaya Lakeside is definitely below par.

This is our first time having our vacation a way from our home in UK after a long separation from a family here. To our disappointment, we have some issues with the hotel service and guest room.

1. The normal check in time is at 4 PM which is one hour late than other hotels and yet we unable to get out room ready until 5 PM.

2. The king deluxe room we booked for is full with flies, small cockroaches and scattered leftover from previous guest. It is totally unacceptable from what the hotel claimed to be a “clean stay”.

3. The Makan Kitchen’s staff was rude to our request, the service was slow, and the entire dinner was ruined.

We have never experienced this kind of service from any hotel.

I had a high expectation as many praise it as a family hotel and very kids friendly.
I booked a family room but i was dissapointed when the amenities/towels were prepared for only 2 persons. Even a kid need to use their own towel and dental kit. So i had to call and fortunately the staff in charge was fast to respond.
I wanted to used the fridge to store my cake and again got dissapointed by the bad smell emitted when i opened it. There were leftover drinks, some opened butters and maybe something else too but because of the bad smell, i immediately closed it.
For it to smell that bad, i am not sure how long it was left unattended by the housekeeping. I know that some housekeeping tends to cut corners. I hope the management can do something about this.
Everything else were ok and good. The food choices are plenty. They also prepare kids tableware. The splash pool is a bit small to be honest. But i guess it was because of the peak season. I like the safety mat they use for the floor at the splash pool so u will be less worried when kids run on it.
We still plan to come again and hopefully next time would be much better.

We stay 1night at Double Tree Hilton in Putrajaya for my son school holiday.
This hotel is quiet, nice view , and room has a balcony, so you can spend it comfortably.

This hotel's staff members are so kind.the
Even diamond members can't enjoy all the benefits without the hotel's consideration, but they even took care of room upgrades, breakfast, and rate checkout before they even asked for check-in.

Ms Fida at the front desk, Ms Loges at the lobby lounge, and Mr Saufi at Makan Kitchen showed really kind and great service.
I was so happy that remembered me even though it's been 3 years since I saw Mr. Saufi.

The newly started fried chicken and beverage set was so good that three people could eat.

It was such a happy trip, so I'm going to visit again soon.
