We arrived at Dorsett Putrajaya at 10 pm, to be welcomed by an unexpectedly beautiful hotel.
Located a stone's throw away from Masjid Besi with a direct view of the Putrajaya lake, it was well worth what we paid for.

We booked this place for Rm162/night via Agoda, which was a way better discount than booking directly with the hotel (Rm200+). A deluxe suite upgrade required RM50 more, in which one would have a more spacious room with a balcony.

Michelle and I were famished when we arrived. Much to our joy, we came to realize that the 'Putrajaya Food Truck Hotspot' was a 2 minute walk from Dorsett. That food truck experience was quite a delight - I'll write about it in another review.

Dorsett Putrajaya is, what I would describe as, a fusion of contemporary and Islamic arabesque designs. The rooms are beautifully designed. I feel that cleanliness is a strength here that should be mentioned - I couldn't have asked for a better sleep as the room was surprisingly dust-free. A lot of effort has been placed in keeping the rooms as clean as possible.

Breakfast was great. Not the typical buffet style in view of the pandemic, but the food was excellent nevertheless. We had access to freshly baked pastries, and local delights such as Nasi Goreng or Roti Canai.

Overall, a very comfortable and pleasant stay. I would come again, especially for that good night's sleep.

The hotel was good and clean. If you request for something to get clean in your room, they right away send someone to clean. The facility needs to be upgraded cause it’s an old place.

The buffet that the hotel offers is not a good restaurant. I even called the attention of the restaurant manager due to they do not refill the food constantly and guest are forced to eat the food that what others doesn’t want. I requested for them to refill the pastry and they told me to wait 10minutes but after 10 minutes still no refill.

The receptionist is so kind to let us do early check in at 13PM (check in is at 15PM) and the have mineral water dispenser in the hall insted of providing bottles in the room.

Breakfast is fine, but I like the balery the most (prefer them than savory dish). Waffles and croissants were fantastic.

Am sitting in the lobby at midnight while typing this review. We were travelling with our 6 month old baby. The room was not made since morning when we returned at 11pm at night. There were ants all over the bed, bathroom and worst of all, our bags. Nobody from housekeeping picked up the call. Had to call the reception who had no answer but to make us sit in the lobby at midnight with a cranky and hungry infant. The night manager had no answer except that her staff had marked the room as cleaned. We offered for her to check the cameras to confirm. We will have to disinfect all his clothes, toys and bottles once we get back to the room. To top if off, the wifi doesn’t work for our room and we were given the staff id and password to use it which keeps getting disconnected every 5 minutes. Would never recommend anyone to stay here

Dear Mr Aditmathur, Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback about your stay at our hotel. We have conducted an investigation on this matter. We found out that the room was under 'Do Not Disturb'. Hence following the procedure, the housekeeping team is not allowed to enter the room for any cleaning. The ants was probably due to food particles. We apologize on the WiFi. Please note that your concerns have been passed on to our housekeeping management and IT team. We do hope you give us another chance as we will definitely improve our services. Regards, The Management

My family and I stayed at this hotel during a 24 hour stopover. It is about 30 minutes from KLIA. The hotel and local supermarket and 7-Eleven don’t sell any alcohol
so be prepared if your looking to relax and have a beer! Service is so-so. They don’t provide bottled waters instead there is a water station where you can fill up a jar. A bit disappointing for its price.

What would be in your mind if you can only decide on the best date to organise your management meeting cum away day in 2020 from 17 day period before the year end closing date for all payment? Yup, quickly emailed to practically several suitable hotels and pray hard that someone will reply favourably with available venue. The first two to answer my prayers on the very next day were Z and Dorsett while the rest took a longer response time. Between these two, only Dorsett immediately treated my request with full sense of urgency and provided me with a personal call to confirm on the request and followed by an email reply with Quotation plus Proforma Invoice attached based on the basic information given so that we could meet our dateline. This little extra mile and full commitment during the moment of truth by Farah Hassan, has been the most definitive point in our deciding factor to choose the hotel. She has also appointed a PIC responsible for our event. As we do not have time to think of food, we can rest assured with the close assistance from the catering manager, Baizura Idris, our teas, lunches and dinner is in good hands. I would like to personally thank Ira Sharina, Baizura and Farah for the personal call before the actual date to remind me of the nitty gritties that help ensured this event goes smoothly and successful such as table and room arrangement, itinerary, early check in preparation, early meal time to meet our activities timeline. Notwithstanding, it would be a farce if I failed to convey our team's utmost gratitude to the Chef and kitchen team who made wonderful arrays of simple home comfort food which is close to heart namely the most delicious lotus soup complete with the root, surprisingly extensive varieties of ulam-ulam with budu and cincaluk and the most memorable being the crispy Snapper. The good lunches is a good finale to our maiden attempt at cycling around Putrajaya and the dragon boat. For desert, we could just repeatedly enjoyed the cheese cakes. For tea break, if you have extra budget, get hold of the coffee machine else the normal tea and coffee would do just fine. Thank you to Arif, AV, reception and banquet team for the undivided attention to my constant feedback and requests and for the immediate remedial action. For eg, when we shared that one of us is having bad sore throat and prefers plain hot water, they immediately provided us a small teko of hot water and a big jug on subsequent days or when we need extra stationeries. Thank you for being caring. I will not hesitate to recommend and think of this venue again because of the professional support shown.

The location is good, because I can view Masjid Besi & tasik Putrajaya from my room. The room was so comfortable even I'm having a short vacation with my 4 kids ages rage from 1 yo up to 12 yo.
The restaurant at level 3, is very pleasant and I have a very good meal for breakfast with my kids. The staff also gave us complimentary 2 bowls of cocoa crunch for my 3 yo & 5yo kids. Thank you Mr Irfan. He was very concerned with my big family condition, we were given a baby chair right after we came in and he gave us a good spot to seat in the restaurant.

We certainly will come again to have our short vacation .

After a long and tiring work month of December, it’s normal to crave for a relaxing weekend getaway or short trip. This time with my BFF and our solution is staycation less than 2 hours travel away from KL/Shah Alam to celebrate New Year at Putrajaya and experience LAMPU 2019.

We decided to stay at Dorsett Putrajaya, close enough to walk to the event place. I’ve made booking via Dorsett website and had registered as member. Affordable price and I prefer to book direct since the price difference was only few ringgit. So, the best part was during check-in, Mr. Anas was very kind and helpful. I’ve got room upgraded to balcony garden. Actually, during I made the booking, l’ve been searching in the web to choose that type of room but it was not indicated. In fact, I’ve called to clarify.

I was very lucky! Thank you Dorsett! Overall the hotel was very convenient, lovely garden balcony and great breakfast! Service is passable at best. The room is comfortable for a short stay.

Because I like staying at Dorsett, here is a few points I would like Dorsett Management to consider in the near future:
1. No light at garden balcony. Perhaps can install lighting at outside balcony area.
2. The toilet especially the shower area; slope is needed to the drain part. Probably only my room but need to check and rectify the flooring and install rubber sweep at glass door or floor divider. I stayed at 409.
3. Drop-off area at front hotel need some dedicated space.

Hope this will take into your consideration.
Don’t worry! We will back again for staycation!
