The room is very spacious. We stayed at the seaview deluxe room. You can see a very nice sunset from the room. The breakfast is good and a lot of choices. Located just beside the swimming pool and facing the sea. Personally, i dont feel comfortable with the parking space because its located at higher floor and looks a little bit scary as there are not much car in the carparks. They are sharing the same carpark space with the Oceanus Shopping Mall but the mall were running down with only few shops are still operating inside there. Alternatively you may park your car a ground floor outside the lobby (provided there is an empty car park available). Location wise is good. Seafood stalls and restaurants are just a few steps away from your lobby. The wet market is beside the hotel as well. Imago shopping mall is within a walking distance as well. Otherwise just hired a grab, its just nearby.…
Kota Kinabalu Marriott Hotel 📍Executive Premier, Ocean view, Corner room, Balcony. 🌞🌃3D/2N Stay ✅April 2021 📱Booked via Marriott Bonvoy Mobile App 📐Room Size: 47sq. M. /506 sq. Ft. 💰Normal BAR rate: RM 800 💰Booking method: Marriott Bonvoy mobile App 💰Booked rate: RM 244 with sahur/breakfast, RM 456 with sahur/breakfast and iftar/breaking fast/dinner buffet (Ramadan Stay & Dine) 💰0 Deposit (Hotel pre-auth CC) 📍Package details: Ramadan Stay & Dine Member rate (Upgraded) 👩👩👧👧Family Stay 🔵REVIEW I chose this hotel on this review because of its large and beautiful room upgrade. The price was competitive too, as it was in a Ramadan Stay & Dine package which include sahur/suhoor buffet and breaking fast/dinner buffet (Taste of Borneo). The first night was with breaking fast/dinner buffet, which if buy separately is RM128 net for walk-in/non-member, RM118 nett for Marriott Bonvoy member and RM 50 nett for children aged between 4-12 years old. 💳Check in 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 It was a great pleasure to get the Executive Premier room upgrade as I've never stayed at this kind of room before. Its unique feature(s) includes a room with a balcony (only this room type and Presidential Suite) and its bathroom with bath tub and shower area placed towards ocean view. The quality of its bed was pretty satisfying and the foam pillow which was very comfy. It was a delightful room stay experience. Special credit goes to Adrian who already recognized me from our first encounter during my check-in on December last year, first warm encounter with Immaculate who managed my check-out process faultless, Khairunnisa who is a familiar staff since my few stays before and Azlan a helpful housekeeper in our floor. Mohammad at Kitchen@8 was pretty decent though. Lastly the security staff at the lobby area who I clearly lost track of his name. On this stay, I observed a very good positive sign which I mentioned earlier on my reviews. The lights on each floor to the Guest Car Park were properly on at night. To sum it all, I had a very good time staying at this hotel and always ready to plan on staying here again soon.…
This was the 6th hotel we stayed in over the course of our 3 week holiday spanning both Malaysia and Singapore. We found the hotel to be well located in the centre of Kota Kinabalu CBD, close to great seafood hawker centres, the Filipino Market, Craft Market and a mid tier shopping centre. We had a suite located on the 10th floor and a second room for our son. It was well sized & appointed, clean and comfortable. It overlooked both the pool on level 8 & the South China Sea. The sunsets from our room was nothing short of breathtaking. The absence of a business desk in the suite appeared to suggest that the hotel catered mainly to the tourist market. Breakfast comprised a very large selection consistent with other 5 star hotels across most parts of South East Asia. The restaurant on the 8th floor appeared to only open for breakfast and lunch and closed for dinner. The intern who was in charge of the egg station at breakfast on 13/01/23 was exceptionally diligent in wanting to get the poached eggs I requested right!! We found the food on the top deck restaurant to be uninspiring - as with Afternoon Tea unfortunately served at the lounge area. We found the pies served there is be cold, bordering on being stale. As we were quite hungry at that time, we didn’t make a fuss of it and simply consumed part of the repertoire of food available. I would like to commend Clementime who works at Front Office / Concierge for his efforts in helping us secure some information with respect to some tours and a clinic as both my wife and son fell ill during part of our stay there. Note that the Marriott KK sits directly under the flight path of commercial airlines landing at the nearby Kota Kinabalu International Airport. It was a bit of a novelty for me as I got to indulge in some plane-spotting while sitting in the pool. Overall, it was a nice pleasant stay for my family and I other than some improvements required in the F&B space.…
Amazing! Super friendly & helpful staff. Excellent housekeeping & room service. Genuine smiles & willingness to assist in any matter. The location is excellent too. Right near everything including the beachfront. More than one 24/7 convenience store right next door. The room has everything one might need. Spacious bathroom area & shower cubicle. Best of all is the gym which is one of the nicest I've been to in any hotel (does the job for a few-day stay, but of course, it doesn't compare to a proper, hard-core gym). All in all, super delighted & would definitely be back times & again.
The room are clean & well manage their bed is comfortable and sheets are clean for one good rest. Location wise in the heart city whereby you could walk over to seafood eateries or the wet market for seafood to bring home if you want, nothing to shout about the mall which is located within the same building. The only setback to this hotel is the parking which is a bit doggie especially during the night if one is driving. The parking lot is located at level 6 where minimal lights along the way some floors are without any lights and are pitch dark. Breakfast I would said they come with a view topping on their multiple selection of food and await for your own Tea Tarik being Tarik in front of you.
We had a fantastic stay at the Marriott. It is a beautifully decorated hotel in the heart of KK. The staff are fantastic and go above and beyond to help you. The rooms are tastefully decorated and the beds are so comfortable. The room is extremely clean. Bathroom is large and well equipped. Only thing missing from our room was body wash. Our kids spent most of our holiday enjoying the pool facilities. The infinity pool is incredible. The view can not be beaten at sunset. Buffet breakfast had a large selection and everything tasted fresh. Loved the roti canai station! Thanks for a great stay!
I'm a regular visitor to KK and love the city. I normally stay at other Marriott branded digs but I tried the Marriott KK on my latest 3 night stay and instantly wished I had stayed earlier. The place is as new and gorgeous. As a Platinum Elite member I was upgraded to Seaview suite which would have to be one of the best suites I've ever stayed in. It was huge, whisper quiet and with day lounges that were so comfy, you couldn't leave once you were on them. But the biggest thrill is the uninterrupted views of the harbour and outlying islands. Absolutely mesmerising, especially around dusk when a reddish hue descends. Not sure there are many views that can beat it. The breakfast buffet was enormous. Service was OK too. And the pool and gym are fantastic. The location is also handy, just a block away from the CBD and close to the night life on the waterfront. This is my new favourite haunt in KK.…
Arrived to the roof top restaurant & Bar 2 people on 3 Sept 2022 around 4 :15 pm, first ordered some cocktails , mock tails with fried squid rings (which was too thick batter and chewy squid ) The had dinner and ordered seafood spaghetti , salmon , soup which was ok.
Staying 3D2N great escaped a while to town area where all places so nearby and convenience for shopping 🛒. Loves the breakfast area with absolute gorgeous views and most important all their friendly hosts. Thank you everyone specially Mark the HR manager listening my feedback, Putli checked me in, Duty Manager Sharvine, James restaurant manager and team Felicia, Regina, Beverly, Magdalena, Olevya, Faiezah, Sonia, Hazmil, the guy with The Tarik show (sorry missed out his name) and all the breakfast hosts, Chef Malius and team Chef Mohd. Awang, Chef Yuslizam, Chef Virley, Chef Soniaaze and all Chefs providing breakfast you all are AWESOME 💪. The foods absolute delicious. Thanks again and hope to seeing you guys soon.
The hotel still feels new, and the rooms are spacious and very comfortable - loved the shower. Breakfast spread is great - a lot of variety. Located next to the waterfront and near shopping malls, it's easy to get around. The staff are helpful - the bellboy was very friendly as were the breakfast staff. Downsides: someone was swimming with their clothes in the pool and the attendant didn't stop them (I think it was a Korean tourist). Rooftop bar has a nice view, but felt quite empty in terms of vibe and decor.
