Detailed Reviews
1. The toilet was so small. Since they separate the shower and the toilet with the glass...the toilet became so small. its tiny.
2. The view....bad. It was suppose the street view but what i got was the back shop view.
3. The socket was not functioning. Sad.
Should i recommend this type of room especially room no 307 to anyone? NOPE.
Dont ever want this room number... avoid it at all cost or you will be in pain using the toilet.

+1
This hotel is fairly new and is one of the hotels in the KK Times Square Complex. The rooms were clean, spacious, working toilet, complimentary coffee, tea and water, near to restaurants, clubs, convenient store and best of all cheap! For a King bed single room, I only had to pay RM110 which was a really good bargain. It is only 3 minutes drive to the Philiipine market and in the city center. There are shortcomings like the lift from the 5th floor down didn't work when I was there, although going up was not a problem. The reception imposed a RM50 deposit despite the bookings being paid full already. Other than these two things, the rest of the hotel was a pleasant surprise.

The apartment is in a good location, however the service was so bad. I wanted to check out late due to late departure back to KL. In the beginning, I booked the room & stated to do check out late. They replied to me but did not mentioned if I could check out late. Til the day I arrived I informed them about to check out late and willing to pay for the extra. They ignored my request and Informed me to check out at 2pm. I informed again to the staff on the phone, and I was pissed off because the staff raise voice to me. I emailed them about my unsatisfied service and apartment since there's no housekeeping, no changing the bedsheet and all. The management replied to me in incomplete information and feedback. Plus saying they afraid if they can't accommodate my request to check out late. They should inform me earlier before I arrived so that I can plan my holiday properly with my family. I'm not their friend to be afraid IF they can't accommodate my request. I'm paying the room not free of charge. I don't recommend this place to other people.

The room itself was nice, clean and comfortable. Normally people would say this hotel is not in a convenient location. Times square of Kota kinabalu is not so far away from the main part of the city, however because of the road system it is quite difficult to walk down there, meaning you have to pay for taxi every time you go out. There is no taxi waiting for you outside the hotel, so you have to ask the receptionists to call it for you. the hotel rate is actually higher than some of nicer hotels in the town. So, not worth paying for this hotel.
I would give you still 3 stars if the location is the only disadvantage. Unfortunately some of the receptionists are quite rude, making you hesitant to ask for anything including taxi. It is not that they don't know how to speak. But can they just simply say "please take your seat while I call for taxi" instead of "Sit down there!". This is just one example.
They know the location is one thing their guests do not like about them, so they had put up ads saying there are cheaper/free shuttle to the city or airport. We asked for that, and they said "oh, the ad is a very old one". Next day, the ad was still there, so we asked once more. the same answer. Why would they not take off whatever things that they know out of date? If not, they should provide the service even though they are an old ads.
One more thing I did not like was that they did not provide complimentary services for the second night. When we came back for the second night, towels were not there, coffee/tea/water was not there.
We just did not know for what we were paying so much money.

I stayed at the backpackers before and amazingly u will get a much more comfortable room here, flatscreen tv, free wifi, clean and nice bed, with the same price!
It doesnt come with any other facilities, a good place to rest, especially if u are out to KK for few night outs, or backpack where you go around KK simply come back to the hotel for rest.
I would recommend that you rent a scooter to go around town area. But i gotta say it is a little out of place. If u rent a scooter it will take u lest than 5 minutes to get to town.
There's a few bars and clubs which seem to be the hottest nigtlife area in KK at the moment. Firefly, Whiteroom and Chocolate factory.

The biggest plus point of this place is that it is located just opposite of Imago Shopping Mall, probably the largest and most happening mall of Kota Kinabalu. The airport is located approximately 15mins away by car.
Apart from that in my own opinion other aspects are average at best. The room feels a little dusty, the air a little musty to me. Sound proof can be improved. Parking lot is very limited which means that patrons might need to park their cars at the shopping mall itself at a cost. The hotel does not provide breakfast as well.

If all your looking for is a bed and a shower then that's what you'll get but don't expect luxury.
Rooms are small and dingy and old.
It's grubby around the edges.
Shower was hot
Wifi was intermittent
Power sockets didn't work
Power cut in the night meant the emergency light came on and couldn't be switched off. Power never worked after this.
No breakfast
I wouldn't stay here again despite being ideally opposite the new imago mall.
I think your money will go further elsewhere to get you a nicer room.

This was our first time staying here. We had a nice rest last night . it was lovely. Staff was friendly & accomodating. The bed sheet is clean and iron.
Great location in front of Imago Mall only. You can even walk to Oceanus Mall. It takes 10 to 15 minutes walk.I recommend you to walk as well during day time Taxi going to Oceanus from this hotel it cost you Rm 15 and going further up to town or Jesselton Rm20.
Definetly well be back here!!

It's a good place to stay there. But, considering the location is not so strategic, I agree with some reviews stated that having own transport will do better. It's kinda hard to use the public transportation there. The room is really comfortable with the TV. Eventhough it's small, but still comfortable. Well, they could use air freshener because the room was kinda smelly. Overall, I love it and definitely won't hesitate to stay there again.
