My dream comes true when i arrived at The Magellan Sutera Resort. The best resort, the best food, the best room that i slept, the best services by all the employees. Thank you so much, The Magellan Sutera Resort. I hope that i will come again to this dream resort
Stayed four nights due to a family emergency. We picked the resort because of the openness with plenty of fresh air as well as easy road linkages especially to the airport etc. With Covid still rampant in Sabah, access to the resort was limited to guests, which was definitely a plus. Our room was large and more than adequate for our purposes though the property is showing it’s age. The staff are friendly and enthusiastic even if they don’t all perform to expectations. But hopefully that will change over time as they pick up more experience. Buffet breakfast was at the Five Sails. More than adequate. We ate a few times at Al Fresco with its fresh air and hopefully less exposure to potential Covid virus. We also had dinners at Ferdinand’s, which we highly recommend. Chef Daniele (I hope I got his name right) delighted us both nights. The tomahawk is highly recommended if your party is large enough. Noorin will take excellent care of you as she did with us. We cannot compliment her enough. Truly an asset for the resort. Did we say there’s also a trio that provided live music! For us, an oddity during the pandemic. Also an excellent resort to catch the famous KK sunsets. Will we return to stay again? You bet.…
5 stars rating is a joke!!!!!!!!!!!! Stayed during the Xmas eve for 3 days 2 nights. Room wasn't ready on time and waited for 4 hours and wrong room type given and waited for another 2 hours to solve. Room wasn't prepared to the standard. no floor map, no towels, no water for 2 days continuously and the reaction to get water supply was slow and poos in all common toilets disgusting. Hotel was overly crowed with no SOP was intact, how can a hotel operating with full capacity without social distancing. Breakfast was bad and service attitude is poor. Foods varieties is low quality and lack of manpower. Complained and Resort manager called next day and promised for refund but waited for a month still no avail. Parking worst no resort parking for hotel guest, you have to fight for the parking for hotel event guest, are you madddddd or insane and we forced to park at the roadside. Avoid this resort at all cost. and it just spoilt the holiday for the whole family. But we're lucky to moved out and go the the next resort which is heaven.…
If you looking for local nice budget stay, I recommend that you get this one. Rooms is small but confortable. Stay near the shooping mall and convinien store such as orange and 7e. If you hungry at night you will can buy Maggi at the reception.
It is the worst ever so call 5-star hotel. We stayed in the garden view room. Room are badly maintained with many things falling apart or barely working. Be ready for a long que to just get your keycard. Payment accepted at 3/4 counters after payment you will be ask to go to the 1 single end counter to collect your key. It took me almost an hour to get a key lining up with a more than a dozen of other guests. Even though I had already made payment 2 hours earlier and left since the staff said come back at 3pm to collect the key. They have water issue even though they keep re-assuring its solved and the water tanker outside is for backup. (see google reviews for recent complaints). some People didn’t get basic water supply!! Five sails restaurant will be pack to its brim whether you like it or not for morning breakfast. No proper crowd control, lousy management, things are always in shortage or gravely lacking. No cups, No plates, Worst customer service if there was any. Slow replacement of towels and linens, perhaps due to water issue. Always Be ready to be pointed by staff to direct you to some random place where you end up lost. They expect you to know where to go, where to sit, and just get by on your own and get out of their hair. They’re the most unfriendly bunch of people. If you ask me, This is definitely only qualified at most as 3-star hotel, but at 5-star prices just imagine paying triple the price for food and drinks here compare to outside without the services that it entails. I’ve so far waited for 2.5 hours just to get bath floor mat changed. Mosquitos in the room now have bitten me plenty just waiting for some repellent. Lousy will NEVER come again. Don’t be deceive by the good comments shared online. They’re hiring ppl to write those I suspect. THIS IS THE WORST HIGHLY RATED HOTEL EVER.…
