This hotel I stayed at 3 nights and found it clean and pretty good. The location was nice. The Daily cleaning was good. Staff were ok although not the friendliest. I booked it coz it was cheap and on Gaya St.
I've booked online all 3 types of room (single with window RM62.54 per night, queen bedroom RM81.32 per night, family/triple bedroom RM100.25 per night) 8 months before our actual trip. Please put mirror outside toilet for ladies to do makeup. In general, I'm satisfied with the facilities but there is always any chance to improvise their service. Luggage storage: None. But the staff allowed us to left 18 medium bags & boxes next to the reception desk for 5 hours while we were shopping around Jalan Gaya & Pasar Besar KK. Room space: We were 9 adults & each of us brought minimum of 2 bags each. Single room with a window is the most spacious room where I easily fit 9 medium bags in the room. The most narrow room is the queen bedroom. The family room is spacious & can keep 6 medium bags. However, for Muslim's prayer, only the single room will provide you ample space for bags & prayer. Other rooms we need to find space between the beds/or at the end of the bed. Bear in mind each floor will only have 1 family room. Toilet: Single room ok, the family room got drainage issue. Bed: The condition is ok, clean. Every time I returned to my room, it was tidy & neat. Location: Nearest seafood court of Bulatan Todak (less 10 minutes by walking), in front of Jalan Gaya, ATM machine, Guardian, other restaurants, clinic. Cleanliness: Clean, good except the toilet drainage issue. Will I recommend this hotel? Yes, for people who usually stay at night & always concern about the budget. …
Do yourself a favor and stay away from that place. They did not warn me that there would be after midnight street concert right in front of my windows on Friday night. They refused to change the room and they refused the refund, thanks God for credit cards, I had to change the hotels that night as it was impossible to sleep and I had to request the refund from my credit card as the hotel boss refused flat out refund. That it was my problem with concert next to my windows. Horrible place with poorly working showers and small rooms.
No window in the single room - I judegd Korean (Kimuchi) noodle cup had been eaten before I entered. Several long hairs on the floor of the toilet room. The biggest trouble for me who had to wake up early in the morning was a kids' party in the next door. I called a staff of the reception at 23;00 - no soundproof walls ! 早朝飛行場に行く為の一泊だけに窓無しシングルに滞在。部屋の換気不十分。バスルームの床は掃除されておらず、なによりも壁が薄くて、隣の騒音で眠れず。
Good location with lots of restaurants, boutiques, bars and mini groceries stores are all around. Rooms are small and with no good place to work with a laptop but clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. I would recommend to budget travellers/couples that want a bit more of comfort than hostels.
The room was good for the money. It was clean and staffs were friendly. But room was bit small. The internet speed was amazing. I think I have got highest upload speed in my entire Malaysia tour. Overall recommended.
Local crazy drug abuse drunk Poor group was Very noizy on a street just in front of the hotel from midnight to 6 o'clock in the morning, a tremendous cry of a big chorus with a loud voice, a foolish laughter speech whistle, consecutively repeated horn many times Laying down and sounding loud volume of music continued steadily. I do not care that no one will stop even though many hotels are located one meter in front. An annoying and intense explosion, the intention of motorbikes and remodeled cars, noisy noisy noise, shouting screams of stupid mentally disabled echoed. I could not sleep at all for a week or more. The reception staffs of the hotel was Ugly, buzzly, silent and rude Poker Face all time, ignored. The facilities are old and broken something. Cleaning is imperfect and filthy. Towel was Dark Gray TV only on local channels. Room No. Only ''205,206,108''and Family Room is Best.…
I don't usually rate hotels are terrible but..... Booked this hotel at the last minute for a high price MYR350 a night. It's totally not worth the price. The rooms are so tiny we could hardly fit our luggages, towels so old they were grey, water pressure in the shower so small it's like a drizzle, no lock that we can lock from inside the room (we were 2 ladies, we had doubts on the security in this hotel), reception was not helpful when we told them we wanted to return the room for a refund and that we could only speak to a day time staff. Managed to get a 50% refund in the end from the booking agent but the rooms were so bad, we just left it unoccupied and went to another hotel. I understand there are different hotel categories at different prices. But KK Suites should not be capitalizing on last minute bookings, charging so much more than what they can offer.…
Staff were friendly and helpful. Price is a little high for the facilities they have. Just local channels for the TV. No satellite/cable service. Location was in the middle of Gaya Street where there are a lot of things to do. Waterfront is just about 300 to 400 meters away. Suria Sabah Mall is about 500 meters. Basically you can just walk to different malls from this hotel.
If you need a bed and a place to crash on your own and doesn't mind about window, this may be it. Centrally located in Gaya Street. Lots of eateries nearby and walking distance to/from Jesselton Point.
