With the above said, be careful when you walk across to Imago shopping mall from this hotel. There are reported criminal cases in that area. On coming traffic makes it difficult to cross the road. There isn't a pedestrian crossing within a hundred meters. Very old hotel. Doesn't look like they have done any maintenance to it. My room had...

The Ming Garden hotel was our base for the first few days in Kota Kinabalu. Whilst we spent little time there, they were nothing but hospitable. We were climbing Mount Kinabalu and doing a few day trips, so location wise, it was perfect, as it was close to the airport, and also had a huge shopping centre across the road,...

Terrible experience. Misleading information online about the spa which was the reason I'd booked there for some luxury - the menu is entirely different and more expensive, as well as the pictures misrepresenting the drab spa they actually have. When I said the spa was more expensive than the list I had been sent via Facebook before booking, literally the...

Breakfast is good, with many variance item of food & bread, this breakfast place rather crowded with tourist. Staff & receptionist helpful & friendly.

Convenient location for those travelling with own car. good access to city centre and airport. Breakfast is rather crowded with tourists mostly from China the few times we stayed there. So most of the time, we choose to have breakfast outside hotel.
