Travellers' Choice
Hotel Sixty3 is a truly centrally located hotel in Kota Kinabalu city.It sits on the quaint, bustling, yet charming street of Jalan Gaya (formerly known as Bond Street during colonial times), with the State’s tourist information office right opposite the hotel. The street is flourishing with a myriad of restaurants, bistros and cafes, burgeoning with everything from lifestyle malls (Suria Sabah Mall, Wisma Merdeka) to local side-stalls, and being the city’s business high street, it is surrounded by financial institutions. Also famous for its colourful and vibrant Sunday market, it is evident that Jalan Gaya captures perfectly the essence of life in Kota Kinabalu and at Hotel Sixty3; all of this are just pulses away!

Stayed at the Hotel on 11 December 2020 for a night. We booked for twin bed room as I travel with my brother. The room is huge and we love it so much. The room design is up to date and its follow a standard of 5 star hotel. They provide mini bar (small fridge), safe deposit box and free amenities. Hotel safety & security - The lift access only for guest with room card access. Toliet - Clean and modern. I love the shower. Cleanliness was good. Location of the Hotel is is perfect as even though it is at the city center but the area is quiet. It is also near to Surya Shopping mall. Easy to find convenient store around and lots of restaurant. There is a nice lobby at the room floor that you can chill and relax. you may refer to photo attached. Hotel staff friendly and very helpful. Cons, 1. No free parking available. 2. The shower converter not functioning but we didn't complaint as we are happy with the room that so comfortable. - For me, this Hotel is the best at its standard.

We had a large family room, which was clean and comfortable. We were only there one night as we were flying to Sandakan, but the staff were friendly and the hotel felt safe. There were a couple of cheap restaurants within walking distance.

We stayed for 6 nights across two weeks as we explored Sabah. The family room was very large and comfortable for our three person family. Air con could be adjusted, rain shower, comfortable beds and good wi-fi. Staff were friendly and helpful, storing luggage, booking a grab to the airport and smiling as we entered and exited. Lots of cheap Malay food around with three breakfast places 10 seconds from the hotel entrance. Friday night food markets on the same street were also good. We booked direct and communicated via facebook and email as their booking system was down. A great base for an excellent holiday.

Have breakfast at the cafe opposite the hotel, not Old Town Cafe but the more authentic local one next to Old Town- real cheap and yummy food :) Hotel is crowded so they only allowed us to check in after 2pm :/ Hike up the nearby signal hill observatory for a good view of the city!
