My girlfriend and I were planning our first trip overseas together and chose to stay in Sabah. We had read some of the reviews by other travellers and felt a little worried at first about staying at the Nexus. However when we arrived we were treated like royalty and given a very welcoming feeling. Our room was beautifull with a...

I have read some of the review about this hotel before embarking my own trip here. Must say as a malaysian I greatly benefits some of the comments made. Let me put in perspective as a local here and heed some advice : 1) Its wise to rent a car (small one is suffice) as the nearest town center (One...

Highly overrated. If u enjoy your meals together with the flies, Bon Appeit. Breakfast every morning is like a war zone, with long queue and empty trays. The resort can't seem to cope with the holiday crowd.

This resort was just a spectacular get-away. The crystal clear water and white silky sand were fabulous along with the pools and wonderful views. The only drawback was the numberous insects flying and biting you everywhere, especially those pesty flies INSIDE the restaurants! I'd still recommend anyone to pay a visit, no questions asked.

This resort is located a distance from the centre of town. 45 mins bus ride. We travelled to town three times due to spending 8 days at this resort and running out of things to do. Its a great place to relax if you just want to read a book. The sad thing is if you want to do anything...

We were expecting a nice get away at a five star resort but we ended up with an over priced resort, dated room n furniture, bathroom that had mold on the tiles, sandflies, and poor service. The only thing that made the holiday was the nice beach n clear waters. For the shuttle bus into town that takes approximately 30...

A great place to rest and relax, enjoying all the comforts possible and imaginable. For all people who want to do sports instead, there is a beautiful gym and can do various outdoor sports. I particularly liked the pool bar is beautiful order a cocktail while taking a bath in the pool! The staff is very kind, the beach is...

My wife, kids (ages 10 and 7), and I spent four great nights at the Nexus Karambunai. The resort is set on a long and secluded beach with calm waters. It was typical for us to walk on the beach with just ourselves and sand crabs which made artistic constellation-like patterns in their wake. When we weren't at the beach,...

Have read "Better Options Elsewhere" review and agree wholehartedly. We stayed in the 2 brm spa suites at around the same time. The suites are quite nicely laid out, new and fresh, but the whole deal has the feel of being a bunch of privately owned rooms/villas that are still in the "guaranteed income" phase of the investment plan, which...

Just returned from a 7 night stay. We stayed in an ocean panorama room with a great view of the sea. The setting of the resort was great - a long beach surrounded with hills covered in rain forest, which stretched right down to the beach. Checked in quickly and efficiently. Food was good in the main restaurants, we ate...
