We stayed here for our honeymoon and had an incredible stay — we are about to go hike Mt Kinabalu and can’t wait to return to stay for a few more days!!! The sea view rooms are beautiful; they have an amazing view and stylish furniture. The hotel lobby is swanky and stylish, the pool area is very nice and relaxing, and there is an incredible view from the roof deck. But probably the best part of the hotel is the phenomenal service we received!!! The hotel is very well-staffed and every single person we interacted with was so friendly, helpful, welcoming, and professional. They provided us with a lot of helpful local information, brought us multiple helpful items to our room, went above and beyond when cleaning and organizing the room each night, broke multiple large bills up for us, called cabs for us, and are storing luggage for us while we are on our hike—to provide just a few examples. Finally, the hotel is a perfect location for those looking to explore KK on foot. Thank you for a wonderful stay, Le Meridien!!!!…
We stayed in Room 1122 from June 26-28, 2022. SERVICE: Check-in was very efficient (Herna Syam), we booked two rooms, and one was ready before 1pm. A couple of hours later we collected the key card for the other room, and Herna actually recognized me as I approached the front desk, even though I have not spoken. Everyone we met at the hotel was nice and friendly, among them are Roger and Vivi at Latest Recipe, Raja at The Rooftop, and Matthew in housekeeping. ROOM: It was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and TV reception was excellent. The rain shower was a bit weak, perhaps it's a bit clogged up. Amenities-wise, only 1 bathrobe was provided, no saucer and spoon in the room (though there are wooden stirrers), and it would be nice to have a better tea selection than Sabah Tea. The glass window also suffers from quite a lot of water spots, but the sea view is still amazing, especially during sunset. FACILITIES: The swimming pool is covered, so the water temperature is colder than it would be otherwise. Sauna and steam rooms in the changing rooms are well-maintained. FOOD: We had dinner and breakfast at Latest Recipe. We were impressed with the selection of cheese and quality of pastries during breakfast. Hash browns were remarkable, though hot dish selections were a bit limited otherwise. Overall it was a very good experience, first time staying with Le Meridien. We rate it at 85/100. As we used the Club Marriott e-vouchers to get discounts on the stay and meals, it was a very good deal for us. Highly recommended.…
My wife and I did a 4d3n weekend stay here. Upon arrival check in was smooth and fast. All the staff were courteous and professional at all times. The sea view room size and the views were amazing. Breakfast buffet was sumptuous. Overall we had a very pleasant stay!
Friendly front desk staff. Breakfast was good and wide variety. Some minor issue with my room and very quick action from the hotel to arrange another room for me. Hotel location was walking distance to some of the shopping malls. Room view is facing facing the sea if you are lucky enough go get it.
My first stay here after 3 years. The hotel look fresh with modern concept and really impressed with the duplex suite which occupied with outdoor bathtub facing the beautiful sea. Perfect fir those planning for honeymoon and family trip. Why LMKK will be my first choice when visiting Kota Kinabalu is because if their friendly staff. You can see their GM busy greeting all the visitors during breakfast and all the staff will definitely try to fulfill all your request. Located in center of the city which easy to access to all area i.e. night market, seafood stall, shopping mall and souvenir shop within walking distance range.
We stayed in this hotel during the long weekend, didn’t expect the staff member will arrange for a special setup for our wedding anniversary! There was even cake to wish us! During our stay we got upgraded to the club room, and this was the highlight of our stay since we get to view such a breathtaking view of sunset. The complementary evening cocktail was nicely done with simple but scrumptious food, the diy sandwich was nice for kids to do too! We as a family of four with 2 small kids had a really good time here, our son really enjoyed the swimming pool. Our room was spacious and cleaned, even with an extra bed there is still plenty of room for two kids to run around. The breakfast had a nice spread, with few selections for us to choose. We will definitely come back for the service and the sunset in the club lounge!…
It was our first time visiting Sabah and we needed to stay in a hotel which has a good location for ease of travel as well as walking distance to eateries. This hotel was 15mins from the airport and it was also a short walk to the waterway which has lots of seafood eateries and the famous filipino market. Hotel staff was also very pleasant and more importantly very warm and approachable. I am very thankful to every single staff who was attentive to our needs and also friendly! Malcolm and Sara (if I remember the name correctly) from the front desk were very helpful and friendly during my check in and when we were asking for directions.
An extremely delightful experience. From the check in to check out my expectations of Le Meridien staffs were met beyond my expectations. Check in: Less than 5 minutes after arrival Slight hiccup during check in but went as expected. Concierge: delivered by bag to my room without having to request Room: Club Sea View Location: 10th floor, as for this I wasn’t sure if it was right seeing as there were many rooms on the club level at 14th floor. Maybe those are the Presidential suites? Room: very comfortable room, the bed is the best part of the room. The sofa, also very comfortable. The TV is acceptable. The high speed Internet is also acceptable. The bathroom was appended but I felt the shower pressure could be improved as it did not have a strong flow. Imagine having an amazing flow of water during your shower. The toilet bowl is something that the hotels may wanna take a look at, constantly getting jammed up. Frequent flushes required. In room dining: Perfect, no regrets with the food. However it would have been even better if they provided a trolley table for ease of consumption in front of the TV. Club Lounge: Before cocktails servings, the drink servings and snacks were very limited. I had a better experience in terms of club lounge experience at other Marriott hotels. But the local cuisine served by the chefs were impeccable. Overall: I am very satisfied and once again my compliments to the chefs, and duty managers. Regards, Guest from room 1030 16 May to 20 May 2022…
Hotel is extremely clean and nice. Stayed from 28th to 30th Mar 2022. Their Club view is to DIE for! Superb view overseeing the sea and the hotel is right in front of the market. Ms Laurean (I hope I got the name right), who was in charge of the Club floor on 28th Mar was extremely helpful. Many thanks to her for going out of the way to assist! Club floor was serving evening cocktails Buffett style. I am not sure how many other hotels are doing this buffet evening cocktail so Le Meridien KK has really set the Platinum Standard. Syabas!
I booked this hotel based on its proximity to the markets but was surprised to see what else they offered. While doing some shopping for fresh seafood, we were informed by the seller that Le Meridien provides a freezer for guests to keep their seafood. We were skeptical at first and thought it was rather unusual for a hotel to to that. But we still bought some seafood hoping that the ice would at least keep it cold for the whole night before our early flight the next day. During check in, I asked whether they have a freezer, and true enough, there is a chest freezer at the concierge. The also offer packing services and will make sure your frozen seafood is properly sealed. Apart from that, knowing that i will check out at 5am, the hotel also offered packed breakfast. Upon walking into the room, I can say that this is my favourite Le Meridien property so far (compared to KL and Putrajaya). Even though the room is a city view category, it is beautifully designed, uses spaces creatively, has multiple mirrors, floor to ceiling windows overlooking the city (luckily we had a partial sea view), and the bathroom is huge with both separated shower and tub. Checking out was a breeze. The cab (Innova) we booked (since we were worried Grab is not available early in the morning) had waited at the lobby, and we just grabbed the 2 packed breakfast after returning our key cards. The packed breakfast consists of croissant sandwich, bottled orange juice, green apple, kitkat chocolate bar, a slice of banana cake and a yogurt. If i have the opportunity to return to KK again in the future, I would definitely come back to this hotel.…
