I like its location because it is close to the Signal Hill (the stairs leading to it is less than a block away). It is also very close to the Filipino Sunday Market and the boardwalk. Breakfast was adequate enough to fill you up for an action-packed day.
It's an old hotel but it's renovated and well maintained. Its location is great, with suria shopping mall, various restaurants and convenient shops around. Reasonable room rate with moderate quality of room condition. Good choice for short stay.
I booked the Family Room. Room is spacious and room within room. Once enter the room, there is the double bed, tv and bathroom. Inside another door os the twin beds. Room is clean and worth the price. However the bathroom is stained glass, meaning if all adults stay in same room it will be a bit embarassing. Hotel location ia great, just opposite Merdeka Mall and very close to Suria Sabah.
Room is cosy. Bed, toilet and room space is good Counter service is pleasant. On a downside, no breakfast and currently under renovation so can expect a bit of a mess at the lobby. Renovation is expected to continue to other parts of the hotel
We stayed here during a short layover in KK and figured it would be ok for one night... we were sorely mistaken. The staff are unfriendly and unwilling to make recommendations in the surrounding area, acting as if we were a nuisance to ask questions. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything happening in the surrounding rooms, including the plumbing rushing by your head as you TRY to sleep. The room decor is ancient and unkempt; the light shade needed to be burned. We had to wear our shoes in the bathroom because the floors and the shower were disgusting. The sheets were stained but that was the least of our problems. We thought we did a thorough bed bud check but got more bites in six-hours than we did one week in the jungle. The one positive is that it’s in a great location close to the Sunday market and it has at least one fantastic restaurant nearby. If you’re craving Western food, check out El Centro for Tex-Mex. Avoid this hotel and pay extra to stay elsewhere. …
