Detailed Reviews

Ganang Village Rest House looks tired and messy from the outside but the rooms and amenities, whilst compact/basic are clean and functional. A fan mounted on the wall offered effective cooling. Each group of rooms has a lounge, food preparation area and free drinking water. John, the manager is keen to help and make you feel at home. GVRH is conveniently close to the airport (2-3 kms), a local bus to KK passes the property and there are local eateries nearby. Grab Car to KK is RM 9. I paid RM 205/$A 68 for 6 nights accommodation......good value !

My little son (4 y.o.) and I arrived at this place after 10pm and found out that some amenities listed in the desription of the premises are missing. We were really tired after the trip on board on the place with a lot of luggage, small child who wanted to sleep. What did the host? He offered to add additional half of the amount already paid for the room if we want to have the amenities in question. While I was making decision he kicked us out and shut the door. At 11pm with a small child and a lot of luggage we had to start looking for another accomodation. So far I have't got my money back (four days have passed).

- socket not conveniently positioned (too high and too far)
- a shower and a toilet were in the same room meaning the seat and floor were all wet (going to pee barefoot is not pleasant - you have to leave your shoes outside)
- Fan. If it was turned off it was too hot to sleep, if it was turned on it was too loud to sleep
- Maybe a bit hard to find
+ good for transit - close to the airport
+ good wifi
+ clean
