This is one of the best places I was in Malaysia. The staff is really helpful, welcoming and smiling, The room very comfortable, cosy and tidy. Bathroom was perfectly clean. Wifi connection was fast. At only 5 minutes walk to the main attractions. I definetely recommend. Good quality-price.

I had booked a twin room online as this seemed to be the only option available. When I arrived I saw that they had single rooms so asked for one of those. The girl on reception was very nice and changed it for me, but she didn’t mention that there were no windows in the room until after I’d paid. I was very tired so didn’t bother changing rooms.

The single room was small and dark, but also clean and had everything you need.

My main issue started at about midnight when I noticed a smell of smoke. I checked out in the corridor, but couldn’t locate the source. About an hour later the smell of smoke became a lot worse, and by about 2am it was unbearable. It now seemed as if it was coming through the ventilation in my bathroom. I went down to reception to tell them. They didn’t seem too bothered. I managed to get one of them to come with me to the room where he suggested that maybe I had been smoking in the bathroom, to which I obviously said I hadn’t (I don’t smoke). He shrugged, turned on the extractor in the bathroom and left.

The smell of smoke was so strong that I had to have the extractor and A/C on all night, and it was still only at about 4am that it cleared enough for me to sleep.

I had been due to stay two nights, but could not face that again, so went to checkout and ask for a refund. They refunded the 2nd night, but refused to refund the first saying that ‘it was against company policy’. I explained how I’d had almost no sleep and all my belongings now stank of smoke. The girl just said ‘sorry’, which is just not good enough.

I’m giving it a two rating as the facilities were quite good (although the sink was coming away from the wall), and the girl on reception was generally very helpful, but to just claim ‘company policy’ in the face of a genuine complaint suggests a bad company, and little care for their customers.

We walked in to Comfort Point hotel , we wanted a triple room for us but triple room was fulled. Ms.Ng, manager is kindly allow us to saty in twin room. The twin room, near counter is big room and beds are big too. The room is very clean. It has free cold and hot water outside room. We stayed one night then check out go to Bako and come back to stay this hotel again.

Bus stop for bus # 1 that go to Bako Park is just opposite from this hotel. Back side of this hotel is China town , has a lot of food. And this hotel is not far from water front.

This hotel is cheap and free wifi.
