Mr. D’s bread and breakfast ….it’s a wonderful experience. “Mr.D “ he is very friendly & very much informative about Kuching and entire Borneo. I like this accommodation because of its location, located heart portion of Carpenter street , near to Kuching water front, textile museum, Chinese temple ect… Wooden floored Rooms are neat and clean, unlimited morning self made...

Me and my friend arrived in Kuching, with the plan to explore Sarawak. This plan quickly changed when we met the cool guys from the reception... We stayed in the guest house for almost 2 weeks, just relaxing and drinking and going out with Cash & Ezra. Best times in Malaysia! I can understand that this is not a good...

Arrived after a long day traveling from Sandekan. Went by the recommendation from Lonely Planet. The staff were friendly and helpful (Cash and Ramona), the layout was quirky, but the room were tiny and full of mozzys!!! The common area was nice enough, the separate shower areas and loos were ok (although could have done with a lick of paint...

Nice place, good vibe and nice staff. Bathrooms were filthy and we never saw any cleaning staff The whole week. I know cockroaches are hard to control but when the breakfast area is covered in crumbs and never cleaned, it's no wonder that there are so many. Mr D nowhere to be seen and only one member of staff.

Location: central, 5-10 minutes to busstations, museums, waterfront, supermarket.... Dorms: ok size, 2 fans, lockers, beware of unmade beds, the staff seems to only change the linen from time to time so even if a bed isn't used, it might not be clean linen bathroom: one has only cold water and they are both rather dirty as the staff spends...

We were looking forward to staying here because it had had so many good reviews. We don't mind basic rooms if the atmosphere is great... but the atmosphere was unfriendly, the rooms were revolting and noisy, the breakfast horrid (didn't like the 1cm thick mould on the jams), the toilets disgusting and the service non-existent. Did we just get a...

Clean, quiet with a friendly staff right in the center of downtown Kuching. A short walk to the riverfront, multiple museums and bunch of traditional eating establishments. The upstairs balcony with a nice view of historic Chinatown is good for cooking a meal, watching a movie or having a cold beer. it's really easy to book a tour at Mr....

Right in the heart of Chinatown on Carpeter Street- which is where all the carpenters are! Our room had a window which was terrific. Other rooms dont have a window but do have air con which is important as its HOT! The atmosphere is fabulous. Mr D and Rams went out of their way for myself and family. Rams even...

Basic rooms but safe and very friendly. Staying here with family and my 11 year old daughter we felf at home. Perfect spot right in the middle of China Town. Never a dull moment. On our last night a huge Chinese Festival and Parade came down the street. It was awesome. Mr D (owner) and Rams (receptionist) were fabulous. Mr...
