Stayed here 2 nights at RM268 per night with breakfast for 3. Booked the triple room but was upgraded to a Executive Suite. Very huge curve shaped room with front city view. There is also a couch seating sofa section located at the other side of the room. 3 single beds. The bed is a little small but acceptable. All amenities provided work fine. Safe deposit box. They even provide a small set of sewing kit. Wifi speed is okay. One centralised aircon and one individual unit aircon. Bathroom comes with a bathtub and standing shower room. Hot and cold water pressure is strong. Cleanliness can be improved on the toilet bowl. Bath towels are old and wrinkled. Breakfast is served at the ground level. Simple spread of dishes but adequate. They change the menu the…
Friendly staff, rooms have shampoo, soap, hot water, coffee maker, tea , good breakfast, Kuching map provided front desk, WiFi strong everywhere in hotel, very lovely roof bar and restaurant at roof, welcome lemonade drink is delicious, complementary water everyday in your room yaaay cause it’s boiling outside and you need to drink it, 20 min walking distance to water front. And lots of local restaurants around to explore food. We enjoyed our stay!
The hotel is clean and it’s good for a short stay. It’s 15 minutes drive to the international airport, the breakfast was average , they have a great fast laundry service, the WiFi is super slow, the hotel is walking distance to some good restaurants.
We stayed a week here and it proved a good base. Despite being a modest cost, we were pleasantly surprised with the size and quality of the Executive room. The rooftop restaurant was a pleasant place to sit, and breakfasts were good with lots of variety. And with a bit of time on tripadvisor we found plenty of great cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance. Only downsides were that, as the room has a lot of glass there was a fair bit of road noise, and its a 10 min walk to the waterfront / city centre - which wouldn't normally be a problem, but we're from a cold climate so feel the heat. Would definitely recommend this for longer stays.
This is an ideal hotel to use as a base while in Kuching. The basic rooms are very small but we were upgraded to a decently sized Executive room. The staff there are lovely and the 5th floor bar has a good view over the waterfront. Don't expect fine dining nearby as the restaurants nearby are mainly Chinese cafes.
We held a birthday party at their function hall. The food was ok, the herbs roasted chicken would be better if it came with dipping sauces or any kind of sauce as it taste quite bland, same goes with the mix vege. The mix vege will look more inviting if it mix up with more variety of vege instead of too much chinese cabbage. The thick sauce of the mango lime for the fish sauce put no justice to the nice taste of the fish fillet. It would be more refreshing if the sauce were less creamy. The taste of the salted egg in the potato dishes wasn't very obvious. It tasted just like, sauted potato without the salted egg. The salad was good, comes with three different dressings. Fruits was good! Both the watermelon and honeydew were sweet. The drinks was ok too, not too sweet. The…
As a family of 4 it can sometimes be tricky to find the right accommodation without costing a bomb. The LimeTree is a great value option for families with children. Rooms were comfortable. Cot added in our room on request for one of our daughters. TV, tea and coffee facilities. Good hanging/storage for clothes and bags. Bathroom was clean, bit worn but a good shower. I liked the Eco element of the hotel, so don't provide you with throw away items but are available on request. Buffet breakfast was ample, good selection to choose from. Fresh coffee, juice, toast, cereals, fruits and hot items. The hotel is a bit of a walk from the center, felt like one block too far. But grabs are cheap and there is a good pick up and drop off bay. There's a roof top bar which is nice enough.…
We stayed at this hotel for couple of days during our family vacation in Borneo. Rooms are a bit small but well maintained. Staff is courteous and helpful. Breakfast is decent and location is great. We could walk to nearby restaurants (including Indian restaurant very near to the hotel) as well as waterfront area during our stay. There are convenience stores nearby so in case you need to buy water/soft drinks/snacks it’s very easy. WiFi worked quite well in rooms as well as lobby area but number of TV channels was quite limited. Overall great value for money.
Stayed here as part of a private tour organised by TA, we were booked into a deluxe room but upgraded as our idea of deluxe and theirs were very different - upgrade was only £6 per night and room very much more to our liking. Staff very accommodating and we ate here a lot, they have a BBQ night on a Wednesday but we wanted something off the ordinary menu and chef agreed to do this for us - Mee Goring superb 👍👍👍 Happy hour is also worth attending!!! Hotel is in a good location and also provides transport for guests to use. Would recommend this hotel but upgrade room.
Me and my wife spent seven nights here recently and have only good things to say. Smiley, helpful staff, a nice big room, lovely breakfasts and a relaxing and pleasant place to sit and have a drink of an evening. In addition we were lucky to be driven around by one of their staff (Mr B?) who always greeted us with a smile and couldn't have been more solicitous. Going to Kuching? Then go straight to the LimeTree.
