Stayed 4 nights as Diamond member. Staff were friendly and helpful. Got an upgraded larger room on 11th floor with great view of the river. Room/bed was comfortable; AC kept room cool; noise was minimal; shower with rain and handheld with good temperature control and water pressure; toilet with private door. Gym on 1st floor was huge with various equipment including Pilates reformer and rowing machine. Did not use the fairly large outdoor pool due to rain during the stay. Breakfast buffet has a huge variety of options; chef even made a vegetarian laksa for me; one thing that can be improved is more labeling of the food items to indicate vegetarian, vegan, halal, etc. Executive lounge on 12th floor with great view of river; it has adequate selection of appetizers, fruits, desserts, drinks from 5-7PM and just snacks during other day time hours; staff in lounge were friendly. Location of hotel is excellent and likely has one of the best view of the river; close to old town, riverboats, water light show, etc. Overall, great hotel in Kuching.

We were supposed to stay here in summer 2020 to celebrate our 20th Wedding anniversary but sadly that trip was cancelled so I was delighted when my husband re-booked the trip for July 2024. We truely experienced the famous Malaysian hospitality at the Kuching Hilton from the moment we stepped out of the taxi and the doorman smiled at us and welcomed us to the Hilton as he opened the door for us. The reception staff were very welcoming and efficient, the restaurant staff and the Kof fee staff were all very friendly and welcoming and we loved having a nice cold drink after our excursions at the Koffee. Not sure which I liked best the blueberry milkshake or the iced peach tea. Our room had beautiful views over the river and I liked to sit and relax watching the sunset over the river in the evening. The hotel is in a superb location right on the riverfront and most of the main attractions are in walking distance so was a great base for exploring Kuching and beyond. We ate in the hotel on a couple of occasions and enjoyed the food. We ate in both the Riverview cafe and Toh Yuen Restaurant. The gym facilities are very nice but sadly the pool area was under renovation although we did get to use our swimsuits at Satang Island so they were not packed in vain. Considering how hot it was outside our hotel room was a very agreeable temperature for sleeping

We are just wrapping up a four day visit to Kuching, Sarawak after not being here for several years because of Covid travel issues. We stayed here back then prior to the extensive renovations that are going to come close to an end now. The hotel is basically being rebuilt down to new elevators HVAC systems, total gutting of rooms etc. While it was pleasant prior to covid it needed work to modernize. The new room we stayed in now is a total lovely place. Kuching is a bargain in today’s world and it’s worth getting an executive room as it gets you a fabulous breakfast buffet and drinks and lovely nibbles in the executive lounge off the lobby between 5-7 every day. Get the famous Kuching laksa at some time. Wina makes it and also the cocktail treats for the executive lounge. She’s special. We also have a shout out to Alliya in the front office who really helped with suggestions and arrangements. The staff overall were there to help and please. ROOBIN was also an asset in helping us to settle in our hotel room. For us, it was an inexpensive 1 1/2 hour flight from the bustle of Singapore where we were visiting for a couple of weeks. If your time allows, take a few days and enjoy this hotel in the best location of this city.

Hilton had been around for the longest time in the prime-est location, during my stay there was some on going renovation. The pool is under renovation and some area were boarded up, I was not informed during my booking. I was told I could use the nearby Pullman pool if I want to. The shortcut to the river is locked for renovation, going in and out of the hotel now is via the main entrance on a slope.
I had a good room facing the river, wonderful view of the Astana and Dewan. The room seem rather basic than luxury, it had all the mod con but nothing exciting or shout luxury. The shower stall seem rather small but it fit its purpose.
Breakfast food were plentiful and delicious, there are local cuisine and international food. I love the Nasi Lemak serves in small cute pack, add your own sambal and condiments, quite delicious !
The staff were friendly especially the front office staff that i talked to everyday, but sadly i didn't get his name.
Perhaps I will come back again when the renovation are done.

Fantastic central location overlooking the river, the views from the 9th floor were superb. The interconnecting family rooms were perfect for our family of four (ages 9 and 10) and the pool was very much appreciated after our mornings trekking in the jungle or walking around the city. Breakfast was great, not too over the top like it can be in some 5* hotels, and the service was very friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

Although the hotel opened more than 30 years ago the property is well kept and renovations are ongoing. We stayed on the 5th floor in a river view room and were not inconvenienced by any construction noise. What sets this hotel apart is its friendly and well trained staff. From arrival to departure we were very well looked after. Harith, the bellman helped with our bags and offered assistance in case we needed anything else. Aaron welcomed us and checked us in. Betty in the River View Café and Helen in the Chinese Restaurant provided excellent and personalised service. The food was delicious in both places. Chef Hanif whipped up a quick take away meal one evening with a smile on his face. Room 510 was of very good size with a comfortable bed, fast WiFi, good water pressure and there was a fantastic view across the river to Fort Margarita and the DUN building. Unlike the other Internationally branded hotels in Kuching, The Kuching Hilton is a true representation of its brand. We will be back soon.

Perfect location, friendly helpful efficient staff. Had a wonderful 6 night stay here at the Hilton Kuching, in what would have to be the best location, walk across the road and you are at the waterfront, short walk to everything. Unfortunately the pool and outside Cafe area were closed for renovations but we were upgraded to the river view club room with club access, this would have to be the biggest room we have ever stayed in and had the best view over the town and river, big comfy bed, lounge area, cold Air con and plenty of storage including a desk.
The club lounge was perfect we spent most afternoons there, excellent service with special mention to Sheila who had our glasses refilled before we even knew we needed it, super friendly very efficient , a credit to the hotel. Excellent selection of food each afternoon, the smoked duck breast was superb. We didn't even need dinner some.nights! The view was equally amazing.
Breakfast had all you could want and I highly recommend the chicken quay tow and massive leak cooked on request.
Big gymnasium with modern equipment.
The pool and outside Cafe area should be pretty amazing once it's re opened at the end of the year (end of 2024 I believe) based on what we could see.
I wouldn't hesitate to stay again at the Hilton, make sure you have a drink by the river at the Brooke restaurant, just a minute walk from the hotel, equally a drink or meal at the Old Court House also only a quick.walk away in this colonial style building, walk across the river to the old fort Margurita and drink or meal at the Cafe by the river. (Mr Clean just found the corner for any laundry you may have, fast friendly and cheap!)
We look forward to returning to the Hilton once the pool area is complete and recommend this hotel to everyone.

We had a lovely stay at Hilton Kuching and felt so welcomed from the moment we arrived. The hotel’s location is perfect, right by the waterfront, which made for stunning views and easy access to the riverwalk.
Our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. We especially appreciated the little details, like the cozy bedding and the view of the Sarawak River—it was such a peaceful sight to wake up to.
The breakfast buffet was a highlight for us. There were so many options, both local and international, and everything we tried was fresh and delicious. The staff throughout the hotel were kind and helpful, always making sure we had everything we needed.
Whether it was relaxing at the hotel or exploring nearby attractions, Hilton Kuching made our visit so enjoyable. We’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting this beautiful city!

I was stationed in Kuching for around 4 months, but have not stayed in Hilton before. Fortunately my friend kindly offered his room breakfast in Hilton.
There was freshly pressed fruit juice (try the pineapple!), Indian counter with flat breads and curries, Chinese counter with dim sum, and Malay counter with rice and dishes. There was also a selection of sushi and to my delight, a pot of masala tea.
The cafe is located on the lower ground floor with a view of the Sarawak river and DUN building.
In my experience, many hotels in Kuching generally provide high carbs breakfast and lacking in variety. However Hilton definitely sets a high bar with the best breakfast in Kuching!

We visited March 2024 for the first time in 5 years, and the hotel was like coming home. We were remembered and welcomed by many staff, which says a great deal on how regulars are treated. The hotel has undergone a lot of refurbishment and we were given a corner suite on the 7th floor - the upper floors and lounge were still not ready. We moved room due ot a leak, which was swiftly dealt with and not an issue. The lounge service was on the ground floor - limited compared to the normal but perfectly acceptable. Worth noting that the band and bar area has now gone, so no end of evening tipples anymore.
the corner suite was very good. Comfortable sitting area with a street view, and a bedroom with a river view. A fridge for colling your water etc, sofa, chair, good TV and space.
We will be back October 2025 and already looking forward ot it.
