My partner and I are currently staying in the Margaret Suite on the top floor, facing the waterfront. This could not be a more perfectly located hotel and the room could not be improved. The view across the river is stunning, China Street is directly behind us, India Street leads on from China Street and there is a big air...

Thank you so much for choosing The Ranee for your accommodation in Kuching. Every single person in our team from Front Office, Maintenance, House-Keeping, F&B and Back Office have...

We stayed at The Ranee as a base to visit Kuching for a few days. Hotel is extremely well located in front of the Waterfront and near restaurants. Our Garden Suite was perfect, extremely quiet. Breakfast is substantial and delicious. Above all, the staff is extremely nice and helpful for any query we had. We could organise our day trips...

Dear anneburgues, Thank you very much for the fabulous review of The Ranee! :-) We're glad that you found our Garden Suite perfect. This is actually one of my favourite parts of the hotel. The sound of the Water Feature is so soothing. We are glad that you had an enjoyable stay here, and we are delighted that you loved...

Okay hotel, rather nice atmosphere but just not it. Expecting more. Some rooms don't have natural light coming in what I would never have booked as I would have known! Especially the 2 rooms on ground level are dark claustrophobic rooms since you have to close your curtains for privacy. We also had the family room on the 1st floor....

Dear Anneke V, Thank you for your review. All our suites have proper windows. Some over-look the waterfront, some over-look the car-park and some over-look the air-well. Our garden suites have sliding doors that open to their very own indoor garden. Almost all of our guests commend on the friendliness of our team, who are always willing to go an...

Lovely little boutique hotel right in the heart of Kuching waterfront. Walking distance to China Town, River front and restaurants & Cafes. Rooms are nice. Don't bother upgrading to the Valerie (as we did) or Elizabeth suites. You need to navigate a flight of stairs with your luggage as they are on third floor and elevator stops on 2nd. Stairwell...

Dear Maurice L, Thank you very much for your review :-) The Ranee comprises two units 19th century intermediate shop-houses located along one of the oldest streets in Kuching. Our aim is to preserve the original structure of the building as much as possible, thus the reason for the way the hotel is designed. We are sorry we did not...

When our taxi driver pointed to the Ranee Boutique Suites to tell us we had arrived, I admit that I had a slightly sinking feeling because the hotel looked rather modest and spartan on the outside. Once we walked into the hotel it was a whole different feeling, as the lobby was tastefully decorated in a mix of traditional Sarawak...

The hotel is well located- on the waterfront and with the tiny Chinatown round the corner plus a mall down the road. The room we had- the executive suite was huge- it had a large living room, decent sized bedroom and a lovely bathroom, complete with a long bath and separate shower. The things I didn't like are: The air...

Without a doubt, it's location at the waterfront and near to the old town with its many eateries, local & international, is the best one can get in Kuching. Although the hotel is on 2 shop units, yet it's very well designed and rooms are very functional on the space it occupies. The rooms may not be as large as...

The best part about this hotel is its location i.e. right in front of the river where all the shops selling local handicraft and souvenirs are located. Behind the Hotel, is Carpenter Street which has a very nice food court serving local delicacies like pork satay, kuching laksa, kueh chap, fish paste/balls noodles etc.. The rooms are very nicely done...
