Solar Power System doesn’t work! Aircond filthy!

We are on leisure trip with our friends and family. We have booked Beach House 1 and a Chalet. The beach house is not being well-maintained at all! Filthy airconds in all the rooms despite we have switched it on for couple of hours and we can’t even feel the cold. Don’t you want to imagine the rooms on the second floor in the beach house was like a sauna room and we discovered the aircond fencing is super super dirty! Solar power system isn’t functioning well as promised. We pretty much understood about water saving concept and shortage of water in Lundu, the least we could expect was hot water or lukewarm water during a hot day as we have kids who were travelling together with us. Not happening! Needless to mention about the next day was a rainy day and all of us have to shower in the cold! How disappointing! On a bright side, the Chalet has so much better conditions compared to the Beach House. At least there’s lukewarm water for us to bath! We will definitely not recommend anyone to book Beach House instead I would rather book 3 units of Chalet vs a Beach House as it is really not worth the price that we had paid for! It would be highly appreciated if management team could look into all the issues and looking forward to a improvement.…

We regret that you have experienced these issues during your stay. Our team at Retreat would be more than happy to resolve the water and aircon issues as soon as you have raised these issues to our reception. We wish to clarify that our water heater at Beach House 1 is electrical based, not solar system based as stated. We have immediately checked our aircon system and found them to be functioning normally. You may contact us at 082-453027 for further clarifications.

Better than Before

staff at the main entrance was communicative & supportive receptionist during check-in was quick-witted, she knew my name even without asking staff at Rafflesia Café were sociable, sympathetic & diligent c/in policy: RM200/- refundable cash deposit OR RM0 credit/debit card details sharing swimming pool opens 8 - 11 a.m. & 3 - 6 p.m. staff informed of buffet breakfast closing around seven minutes prior management MUST control & stop all events by a certain hour, at 23:07 I could still hear quite loud music being played by major event organiser in house water pressure for shower could have been more powerful & stronger more maintenance needed for Cabin (fixtures and fittings look & feel old) Cabin is not really soundproof. Other neighbours were crying, could be heard. A slap on the wall could easily be sounded actual address: Lot 371 Block 5 Gading Lundu Land District, 94500 Lundu, Sarawak around 130 minutes (91.2 Km) by car from Kuching International Airport around 15 minutes (10.3 Km) by car to Medan Selera Lundu…

Worst customer service

I’ve been to many resorts/hotel before and this is by far has the worst customer service. The staffs in the cafe are not friendly as when my partner wanted to ask something from the waitress she just pretend to see my partner and just rush off.. All my partner wanted to ask was where was his food for breakfast... We ordered bihun goreng and we waited almost an hour for a bihun goreng and the waitress just buat buat tak tahu and walked away.. also the receptionist, especially the girls are very not welcoming, giving us bad looks from the corner of their eye when we wanted to check in.. however, the reception guy was awesome and friendly.. Deposit of RM200 when check in is just crazy for a retreat that uses solar for hot water and salty pool and stained curtains.. there wasn’t even a mini fridge in the room.. truly below my expectation and i would love it if they could just improve on their customer service and friendliness and also most importantly cleanliness... probably my first and last time to visit this resort.. dont really feel welcomed at the first place anyways.. would definitely not recommend ppl to go here.. go basaga, right next door.. better customer service and more clean..…

Worse resort ever

Check-in deposit Rm200 is to much for this lousy resort. Restraunt open up for breakfast late at 730am. The manager talk rude to customer. Service suck. It's like staying in army camp. Nothing to do at night.

Wonderful Holiday Experience

Offers wide view of Siar beach and some in-house entertainment. Need more rubbish bins placed near the beach. overall very satisfied with my stay and hopefully will have more instagrammable resort deco

Overall ok

Went back to this retreat again since my last stay was on January 2019. Booked the Beach House 2 for 7 peoples this round. The room was well-maintained. The interior of the bathroom is very beautiful and it's very clean too. The air conditioner in the bedroom are not being clean often, caused the atmosphere was not cool enough. Therefore we opened it and acknowledged that the filter was very dusty, so we clean it and replaced back. It is then becomes so cool because there are no dust blocking the way. The other thing have to be improve is the kitchen should provide dish detergent to wash off the utensils.

Bad experience

I hate the management plus the workers too.bad Asian attitude. Not welcoming attitude. 👎 Not even deserve 1 star. No star for u. Even all of the group complaining about that guy using a cap. Bad attitude.breakfast sucks. Dinner sucks. All of the staff are bad in attitude

Super disappointed

My bad day started from here!! Swimming pool and seaside is very dirty and ntg much to see, only sands and rubbish! First day came here, no water, after complaint, problem solved. Then the next day morning after woke up, no water at all, complaint again, said whole resort water shortage! What a terrible experience of mine!!! sofa, cabinet, icebox and carpet all so smelly and so old, make me feeling disgusting to touch it! I'm swear, NOT AGAIN!! NOT AGAIN!! U r not deserve even one star!!!

Excellent Experience

Room was spacious enough for 11 adults and 1 child.Pay more attention to cleanliness of toilet and bathroom and also Poolside Pavilion. I have seen dirty plates on tables of Poolside Pavilion the night before until the next morning.

Good

The penthouse is very good for group of friends or family with RM219 nett through online booking on weekday. The room is spacious with 1 queen bed and 3 single beds, it is also very good that it have 2 bathrooms. Having a great time with my friends during the 2D1N stay. Everything works well in the room except the aircond in the single bed room is not really cold but the one in living room and queen bed room is very cold. Besides, there are some weird smell from the toilet of the single bed room. I also wish the management would improve the breakfast because the choice is really not much and hopefully there are some cutlery available for the BBQ as nothing is provided to us when we rented the BBQ pit. The pool infront Spa house is not clean as well as there are many dried leaves and sand inside the pool. However I will still re-visit if the management would improve all the issues I have mentioned here. Thank you.…
