The beach is beautiful. The rainforest is spectacular. The staff are friendly and accommodating. If you are a 5 star type of person this is not the place for you. The rooms are a mixture - some are fairly new, some a well furnished and some are just old and worn down. The sheets in some rooms are stained, the pillows in some rooms are mouldy. There is hot water and the breakfast, lunch and dinner provided are good. Would I go back? Yes, if I could choose cabin 7 again. No if I got a poorer cabin. I would not stay for more than a long weekend. I would come back for the beach and water activities provided. The surrounding area is low standard. Picture a car park of local teenagers who don't have anywhere else to go and a shopping area from the Twilight Zone and you'll be close.…
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Kuching. All six of the beds were stained with period blood from period guests, the towels provided by the hotel also had orange/red stains on them. There was leftover food in the fridge that was left to rot and eventually grew mold on it. There was leftover food on our balcony, which attracted animals. Pillows were not washed, left over hair and such were found on them. Service is also terrible in the resort, once asked to clean the room and provide new sheets, they took 2 whole days to complete simple tasks. The operational manager took a look inside our room, as paying guests, we were very upset with the unhygienic rooms we were provided. The operational manager did not make any compensation but instead stood and…
We had booked a tour and this was the accomodation that was included. We were well aware that we would be staying in a treehouse and were expecting a certain level of basic living. However we were not prepared for stained and hair covered sheets, dirty bathroom with leaking appliances, mouldy cupboards, broken windows (which is not ideal when you are staying somewhere that has a numerous amount of mosquitoes) and the final straw was coming back to find ants all over our bed. The worst of it was the fact that the staff did not seem to understand why I was complaining about there being ants all over our sheets and I had to ask numerous times for someone to come and change them. At this point we made up our mind that we were going to move and booked somewhere else that was…
the overall, the room organized well, location good. the food not so many choices and some were tasteless. the view of the cafe quiet good. the pool should be cleared as the leaves got so many inside the pools.
I went there hoping to have a great start of 2019 but was disappointed with their services. I'll just put it in points. 1. Run down facilities. Poorly maintained. Saving grace = good shower heater. 2. Mosquitoes and sandflies everywhere. 3. On the night of my stay, a power outage happened. My wife and I had to endure almost 7 hours of darkness and sweat. The so called handyman number that was given to us can't be contacted. 4. The staff at the counter are friendly, yes.. But not that interested to listen to issues we experienced during our check out. I have blacklisted this place. Never to return and I will tell my friends not to go here. Epic fail.
