Scratched off the bucket list! The Tree House rooms are quite high up, making you feel like you're sleeping at the ceiling of the jungle. The rooms conveniently come with several electric outlets, and they're the newer type, so you don't have to worry about plug shapes or using converters. The Tree House units are far apart enough that you...

Be prepared. This isn't a luxury hotel and did take a bit of getting used to going from big beach 5 stars to Permai. However this resort does not profess to be something it's not so if your expecting luxury and loads to do, this is not the place for you. It takes about 45 minutes from Kuching but it's...

Two weeks before arrival I received an email to say our treehouse had been damaged during a storm so for the first two nights of our 7 night honeymoon we would get a cabin, two free dinners and free airport transfers. Well, when we saw the (dormitory style with single beds) we were not best pleased and insisted that we...

We really enjoyed our stay here and the treehouse offered a unique opportunity for a rainforest stay. They were well equipped and clean. On the night it rained really heavily the roof leaked slightly but nothing of major concern. The thunderstorm just added to the experience. We did the circular trek with our 6yr old and really enjoyed it. The...

We spent one night in Treehouse 8 and absolutely loved it! It was amazing waking up to the sounds of the sea and the rainforest. We wish we had booked a longer stay! The room was quite basic but still good value for money, everything was clean and there was a hot shower and working ceiling fan and AC. The...

Quite possibly the most unique place we have stayed during our travels in SE Asia. We stayed in a treehouse with our 3 children (7, 3 and 6 months). It was amazing. We were up in the trees overlooking the ocean. It was incredibly peaceful. There was air conditioning and a bathroom up in the tree house. There was a...

Yeah, I knew full well that the treehouses lack the wi-fi, but it was a big deal once we got there. We didn't make a concrete plan before reaching there and it was a monsoon season so we're left with even fewer things to try. But since the room lacked wi-fi, we had difficulties in picking places to visit. The...

This resort is a great place to stay. The staff here were all very passionate about their jobs. It was great to see staff so caring about their environment. Every time we passed a staff member they smiled and said hello. We stayed in Treehouse no. 7. It was great. There's no tv but the sights and sounds of the...

The Permai Rainforest Resort is really nice. However, maintainance needs to be done to keep it glowing. While the resort is still great, the near by beach is showing signs of damage due to nature. Toilet amenities at the beach could be improved as well, and it would be nice to see better changing rooms provided for guess.

Being a unique resort built in the nature's path is certainly the most attractive part in capturing many who like the peace and tranquility thereof. The much awaited trip to enjoy the ambience which are filled with excitement where the resort sits in the reserved forest and just overlooking the rocky sea. It's really an amazing retreat for every city...
