Rooms fine but not a lot of drawer space.Bathroom really nice but nowhere to hang towels but no towels in room on arrival & safe not working. Not at all impressed that there is not a bar for guests. The only bar is the pool bar alongside the semi Indoor pool which is not what one wants from a lounge bar & dosent open until 3pm.Description on booking com says two pools but this is not the case. The on-site dinning is only the breakfast room that is used for lunch & dinner with no atmosphere. Staff seem very pleasant & helpful but it did take two days to get the safe fixed. Hotel very convenient for river front but no bars or cafes open in the daytime. Plenty of food outlets & cafe in adjoining mall .
3rd times staying at this hotel & its never disappointed me at all. Room is spacious & clean. Comfy bed & food so good. Easy access to all locations. Will come again to Kuching & stay at same hotel after this.
Stayed here for 3 nites with the family. Rooms were clean and well equipped. Connected to a mall with many eateries and shops. Have a nice view of the river. Close by to many attractions. Parking also available for free. Did not take the breakfast at the hotel as many cafes located near the hotel.
This is the first time I am writing a review about a hotel I did not stay. Reason: I made a reservation from 9-13 November. However due to non-availability of flights, I had to change my reservation to 10-14 November. On either 6 or 7 November, I contacted Waterfront Hotel directly via phone to inform them of the change. I was assured that there would be no issue with the change. On 9 November, a day before arrival, I am informed thru my office that there is no room available on 14 November! I do not know why Waterfront Hotel did not contact me directly. More importantly, Waterfront Hotel is not living up to its promises by NOT honoring a reservation. Other hotels, when such a situation happens, have ensured that accommodation is provided at an another hotel of an equal standard. Sadly, it appears that Waterfront Hotel does not bother about potential guests. To those thinking of staying at this hotel, be warned that the same may happen to you.…
📍The Waterfront Hotel, Kuching Described as an 'Artrageous' Hotel, this is a modern contemporary hotel facing the beautiful Kuching Waterfront. 🌸I particularly loved the interior design - slick, modern and truly artsy. 🏊♀️The Zapatos Lounge with its infinity swimming pool has a view so beautiful, facing Kuching's iconic DUN building with the Sarawak River in view. 💑At Kuching, during our free moments, Michelle and I enjoy staycations. This hotel was one of our favourites. Conveniently located within Plaza Merdeka, we had access to the many Kuching Waterfront cafes and lovely views. We'd leisurely stroll everywhere and take in the vibes of Kuching Town. ✈With travel restrictions eased, I simply can't wait to see Michelle again! 💗
This hotel has an excellent location, the rooms are good and the staff excellent and always helpful! It's close to most everything. There's really not much more to add. I'd stay here again when in Kuching.
When my girlfriend and I want to check in at this hotel, we were asked to wait for about 1 hour and a half for the room preparation. After the waiting period, one of the other staff mention that we will have to wait for another half and hour for the housekeeping to complete. We almost lost our patience and wanted to asked for refunds if we still have continue to wait. Then, hearing our dissatisfaction, Mr. Royce Villegas interrupted the other staff and asked to handled the issue with us personally. And we could not speak more highly on how he communicate with us making us understand the current congested situation that they are having at the moment. He upgraded our room to make amends and left an apology note in that room! Because of the such an excellent customer service from Mr. Royce Villegas, I will definitely stay here again and I recommend other to come here too.…
Stayed for 3 nights at this hotel in October 2019. The room was excellent and very well kept thanks to the house keeping. Front desk staff were courteous but only a few spoke fluent English. The mall access through the hotel was convenient.
We stayed here for just one night on our November trip to Malaysia, as our last night on Borneo. It’s a pleasant large hotel, near the centre of the city and the river. We walked to the river (where there was a festival on during our stay) and along it to a cluster of restaurants and bars, so it’s certainly well-located. It’s a modern and well-kept hotel with friendly and welcoming staff on the front desk although check-in took a long time. Our room had a view of the waterfront and was large and spotless. Slightly odd set-up with a glass screen between bedroom and bathroom rather than a wall but there is a blind which affords some privacy for the occupants! The breakfast buffet was huge with everything from sushi to traditional Malay breakfast fare and everything in between. You certainly won’t go hungry if you stay here! We also had a couple of drinks at the bar next to the infinity pool which overlooks the river as well. It’s a lovely setting although service was almost painfully slow considering there weren’t many other people at the bar. But it was a nice spot to come back to for after dinner drinks and watch the light show over the river. It was ideal for a one-night stay, although I might look for something smaller and more intimate if we’d have been in the city for longer.…
Stayed for 3 nights at the start of our Bornean holiday. Very welcoming front of house staff, clean hotel, good breakfasts. Lovely infinity pool overlooking the river - could do with a few sunbeds around it. We stayed in a Premier King Riverview room which was definitely worth the small extra cost - the views were fantastic. Very central for visiting the colonial area, Chinatown and the waterfront.
