Came to this hotel for a business trip and was my first time. All in all the stay was great. Staff were courteous and although short manning can be seen throughout, kudos to the staff for trying their best to still serve the customers with a smile. Two things lacking I felt was 1) the breakfast, variety was okay but taste wise was a little bland. I loved the roti canai station. Croissant was hard and dry. But not to worry, the hotel is connected to the mall so plenty of other food choices which I found great! 2) the smell of the hotel just isn’t like a 5 star hotel. All hotels I have been across the world has a distinct aroma the moment I step in which makes one feel like home and luxury. Even corridors of rooms , lifts and public toilets. They hv something near the lift which smells wonderful but only if you stand right next to it. Otherwise, the hotel just smells like every other normal location. Nevertheless, one of the best hotels I have stayed in terms of service and product. Just hope for better smells and food during my next visit!…
Given the location of the hotel next to a mall, this is something I always prefer when on business trip. Checked in was done on Level 2 in a open concept counter and though my room is not ready yet , I was told it would be ready shortly. I asked will I be given a suite upgrade given my status and was told it is fully booked. Upon return from my lunch , was pleasantly surprised I was given an upgrade to a suite. Like most Le Meridien, this is a good hotel and every thing is great but I want to comment on the areas that need to be looked into : Cons: 1. It took very long or sometimes not at all for the hotel water to come on in the shower and though i feedback , nothing was done. 2. Sound proof of the windows are not good that I hear noises on the road and also siren even though I am on 28th floor. On the night I was there , it was raining heavily and I can hear the loud rain drops against the window. 3. The not so cozy layout of the breakfast restaurant 4. Pleasant to see ice creams being offered at evening cocktail but quality didn’t make the mark. 5. Room card automatically disabled at noon even though I was an Elite member and not asked if I wanted late check out 6. Toilets at the pool area is not well maintained and has a bad odor 7. For a suite room, I was surprised to see Hollywood Twin bed and the bed is very hard and I am someone who likes hard bed but this does not make my cut. Pros: 1. Spacious lap pool which is very rare 2. Spacious lounge with good evening cocktail and drinks throughout 3. Nicely done up suite room But overall it is a good hotel with improvements needed .…
Great hotel, but the service is appalling. So slow. Servers not attentive, laundry service is useless, the food is average. It’s not what I’d expect from a Mariott hotel. A soup takes an hour to come, rooftop bar is nice but nobody offers you a drink. It’s incredible.
Acceptable business hotel. Nice room, nice bed, well amenities supplied, nice bathroom. Well equipped gym. Near a mall, food and convenient stores are easily accessible. The breakfast variety is good. Just lack of small detail to notice. Some public maintenances can be well take care. The elevator are slow.
Hotel is well located. Roof top bar is wonderful. Service is lacking though. Room was not cleaned. Laundry not collected when left at doorstep. Executive lounge opened very punctual but was mostly unprepared, like coffee maker and toaster off. Laundry service is provided by 3rd party and seems unpredictable. Late and without a reliable delivery forecast. Even in the wonderful rooftop bar meals were late and cashier seemed overwhelmed. All in all it’s a great facility with poor management.
The hotel just has such a positive vibe to it. We loved the room and the food. Especially the Lamb Curry from the cocktail and Thosai & Chicken curry at breakfast. Its a hop skip and jump away from Paradigm Mall which is really helpful and to those who like a thrill check out the Escape Park PJ next door too. Special thank you to Brian who made our stay extra special.
Excellent recognition of titanium benefit, beautiful suite and good breakfast at the restaurant. The hotel is conveniently located at the Paradigm Mall. The only suggestion is for management to improve on the coffee in the club lounge. It is truly awful. Beans are super burnt and some other milk was decanted into a branded milk box. The first time I tasted sweet soy milk. I made a complain and a change was made.
Poor staff engagement! I don't witness any efforts from the associates to engage with their guests. Much development required! Checkin Experience(25th. Dec. around 3pm) - I parked my car by using Touch'n Go. I asked the staff to validate the card, then he just simply replied that I have to exit immediately and park again by using a parking ticket. Fine, it is ok. But there was no empathy or apologetic gesture, it was more of annoyed reaction. - I suggested that why don't you guys add a line on email confirmation about validation of parking policy. He didn't seem to appreciate it. Hope the leaders take a note on this suggestion, as majority of Malaysian are using Touch'N Go card for parking. - Since I applied for a Suite Award night, as I stayed 240nights at Marriot's properties this year alone. There was no clear explanation on its status until I asked it. Then he replied by saying 'It was not approved'. Fine. Where is proactive engagement? I still haven't gotten back 1 night. I felt that I was not appreciated for my stay after dealing with him, this was definitely not upto Marriott's standard. Even within Malaysia, I have stayed the other Le Meridien Hotels(KL & Putrajaya), I felt well recognised and appreciated by the team. Club Lounge - No one recognised its bonvoy members with their names, which I experience differently in LM KL & LM PutraJaya. BTW I paid for a club lounge access room, even though I have a free access. Breakfast restaurant - Understood its high occupancy ratio on the day, however there were queue for the restaurant. Your breakfast place need a permanent solution, the seating area is way too smaller than your room capacity. Provide the other alternative options for better experience at your hotel. Overall I didn't feel much hospitality or engagement during my stay. Hope the team take seriously on the feedback and improve as soonest. …
The room was a good size although starting to show wear and tear. Throughout my stay we had to prompt the staff on housekeeping, refilling the water in the gym, towels by the pool, nothing seemed proactive.
We stayed in the club suite with lounge access for 2 nights. Pros: - The suite is large and very spacious, modern with laminated wooden floors. It even has a huge walk in wardrobe, bathroom is bright with a deep bathtub and the sofa in the living room is comfy. - Fantastic selection of F&B during morning breakfast buffet, one of the best hotel breakfasts in Klang valley with very authentic thosai, roti canai and even a DIY roti bakar station. Cons: - The club lounge is unfortunately not welcoming for family with small kids. Waiters are aloof and stuck up, especially the female manager or lead waitress who manned the counter - she was completely unfriendly and had a proud and unwelcoming demeanor. While F&B at the lounge was decent, I did not enjoy the experience due to the aloof staff (except for a new female staff who was the only friendly and helpful one among the unhospitable bunch). Disappointed with the lounge experience - I hope the management can improve on their staff behavior, especially the female manager.…
