It was once a 4 star hotel when I stayed here 8 years ago. This time, after Covid, everything has changed drastically. I’m very disappointed for the following points: - Dirts are everywhere in the bedroom. Many big stains on the bed sheet and pillow cases, MOLDY bathroom, too many dirty stains on the carpet. Despite asking for a change of bed sheet, the new one was slightly cleaner but still got some stains. - Run down facilities: Many lighting points both in the bedroom and bathroom were not working. Luckily, 2 electricians came up to fix it after sending a request. Peeled off wallpaper and worn out rubber seal of the glass window. I was hearing the noise from the street the whole time because the window was not firmly closed due its broken rubber seal. - Rude staff: definitely not all but I had a terrible experience with a night operator lady. - Poor quality food: no variety in breakfast but that’s understandable as the hotel may not have many guests after Covid. But the worst is the room service food. I ordered room service twice and the food was like a microwaved meal and not freshly cooked. Not worth the money I have paid. Hopefully, hotel’s owner and the management team will take their guest’s comments constructively to improve. I wish to see this hotel bringing back its glory days.

Another terrible experience staying in this hotel, 1. U will never imagine u will see many cockroaches surrounding you in the room, and not only in room and in toilet as well. I have 3 kids with me in the family suite, but since day 1 already mentioned to the house keeping. But then again, I will "meet" the cockroaches until I left. 2. Low maintenance - downlight is hanging and no functioning. Side table bulb is mot installed properly, I nd to fix it myself. 3. Glass is break after I pour hot water, luckily my son not getting injured. Mentioned this issue to the managaer on duty. The reaction is, ok, alright. 4. Since the room I booked without breakfast, and decided to walk in since was public holiday, when I took the plates and glass, most of that are dirty. And the staffs there are not well trained. 5. When I was at the concierge counter, waiting more than 15minutes to get my parking ticket to validate, no one attended, until shouted at the staff then only come to attend with slumber face. Well, I can't imagine this is 5 star rated hotel. Used to be regular customers here, but this round make us so disappointed.

Check in during the night. Was ok, get the room fast check in smooth, however the terrible thing come out, enter the room , was fine , big room clean linen comfortable bed, air conditioner not function well, warm, bathroom amenities no face towel no hand towel and only 1 toothbrush lucky I bring my own toothbrush. Worst part, no body wash? The body wash in the dispenser was empty, leave it the empty used bottle I believe is from the previous guest. Shower room and the bathroom area all with dirty bad spot, can easily know didn’t wash it. Breakfast buffet , not much item, local dishes and western dishes , pastries etc. Not a woah, but can be do more better I guess . And you can see some of the people walking around the buffet counter without MASK ON , and the staff don’t care to ask them put on the mask while taking their food. The prices is not match with what we pay. Chinese restaurant all you can eat for the dim sum Rm68 per pax , Don’t mot even try it . Food waiting to be served was take very long time, finally food come , however I feel like eating fine dining , come in one by one with COLD !!!!!!! How could you let you customer waiting for an hours to get the food , but get the COLD food ? I don’t mind to waiting long time , but I can’t accept waiting longer time and I get the COLD food. Toilet lobby no water supply? Overall , I feel this hotel services , facilities, F&B standards level was not there.

Stayed for second time on 30 October 2021 using Lazada voucher. Arrived at hotel before 2pm and was allowed to check-in. This time the reception didn’t request to see my Lazada voucher and I thought what a great start of my stay. However, I had to change rooms twice. First room (room number 904) had no electricity upon entering the room. So, I went down to the reception and informed them the issue. I went for my hi-tea and waited for about 1 hour. Then, I went up to my room and still the room had no power. I went down to reception again and was given another room without an apology or explanation. So, I had to bring my bags and changed to second room. Second room (room number 417) was a smoking floor despite making a request during reservation that I preferred a non-smoking room. I thought maybe the hotel was fully occupied. Ms Hema, please update your knowledge as the hotel did have smoking rooms. I had unpacked everything and was ready to take a bath. Guess what? The room had no hot water. Then, I had to wait for maintenance staff to check and was told the problem could not be solved and had to change room. Furthermore, according to him the first room should not be given to me in the first place as it was an out of order room. I had to repack my things and waited for the reception to bring a new room card for the third room. Third room (room number 1507). Rusty kettle, main phone not working, broken side mirror, dust on every corner of the cabinets, spoilt weighing scale and alarm clock (see pictures). I already too tired to complain as every time I had to wait at least 30 minutes for staff to check and I had to go out for my dinner appointment. The next morning, I went for breakfast and the gas stove at the egg station was switch on and left unattended for more than 10 minutes. Luckily, no untoward incident happened. Despite all the hassles of changing rooms and poor room conditions, no room upgrade or complimentary meal being offered. Will not return.

I was having an event in Eastin two weeks ago from the 16th Mar 2021 until 18th Mar 2021. The room was smelly and the toilet flush button was leaking. The air conditioner in the room was not fully functioning well as when we checked in into the room, the room was stuffy. Even the air conditioner at the corridor was not on, it was hot and stuffy as well. The food was not as tasty as expected, the potato was the worst, the taste was so weird. Whenever we requested for additional rice, it took so long to be served and even the dessert also only served after we finished our meal and left the restaurant, only a few people managed to have their dessert. Even before we left the restaurant, the staffs also didn't tell us there will be a dessert after this. During the last day of our event, my friend was treated badly at the restaurant, we were asked to sit so far away from buffet station as we were told that the tables that located near to the buffet station had already been reserved by someone else. But, the instruction was not given clearly then my friend went and sat on the reserved table, then one of the staffs showed her “unhappy” face to my friend. Another thing is, when my another friend didn't realize that the cutlery was actually been provided on the table and he was trying to get the cutlery from some place else, then one of the staffs stopped my friend from doing that and she sounded very rude to my friend (according to my friend, she was actually the same person who showed her "unhappy " face previously). Understood that the hotel is lacked of manning, but there are a few things that you need to improve especially during this trouble time. Room should be inspected properly before the guests check in. When the guests are being assigned to a particular room that located on a particular floor, the air conditioner at the corridor should be on. Next, the table management at the restaurant needs to improve as well, you should locate the guest near to their buffet station. If the table have already been reserved by someone else, the labelling should be done properly by putting the name of the guest or the event organizer. This is also to avoid the misunderstanding between hotel and guests. Hope can see your improvement after this.

Stayed for 1 night on 6 March 2021 (room number 1104) using Lazada voucher. The voucher came with high tea and breakfast for 2 persons. I sent an email to hotel to make room reservation and was replied by Reservation Supervisor, Ms Sha. On my email, I had stated very clearly that I didn’t want a connecting room. Guess what? I was given a connecting room when I checked-in at 1.45pm by Mr Faris. Then, I asked him why I was given a connecting room and the answer given was no room was available. The hotel was not running 50% of room occupancy and how could be no room was available? I rejected the room and got a non-connecting room at 2.30pm. 2 rooms keys should be given without asking as this is normal standard as 1 key is used to switch on the room power. A room deposit RM150 was required. The best part was the steps to redeem the Lazada voucher and Ms Sha didn’t know the process well. She even mixed up my gender. Step 1: Sent an email to make a room booking which I was happy to comply Step 2: I need to wait for the hotel to call me back to confirm which date I wanted for the high tea despite already informed Ms Sha over the phone. Step 3: I was told by Ms Sha to go to the reception counter first to validate my voucher. In actual, I could go straight to restaurant and dine in. No need to waste my time queue up at the reception counter. Step 4: While having my meal, a restaurant staff approached me and asked to sign a zero amount guest bill to confirm that I had already claimed my high tea. Step 5: I was ready to check in about 1.45pm and showed my voucher. Then, Mr Faris validated my voucher. Step 6: Last step, I was asked to screenshot my voucher and sent via email to hotel as the hotel needed it to show to Lazada and claim money. This is first time I heard such a nonsense. I had bought many digital vouchers and none of the merchant asked for the screenshot of redeemed vouchers. If the hotel really wanted to have the screenshot of the redeemed voucher, the staff should use his phone and capture. The high tea had limited choices. The main were fried noodles, noodles soup, fried rice, chicken rice. No Western, Japanese and seafood cuisine. The desserts even had less choices with rojak, cut fruits, 1 type of jelly and cake. Same goes with buffet breakfast. Plain nasi lemak, fried noodles, porridge, hash brown, bacon, sausages, bread, cereals, cut fruits and egg station. On a positive note, the room was clean and everything was functional. The foreign female room attendant who sent me body lotion and bathrobes was efficient and delivered the items within minutes. Also, the Chinese male chefs as servers during high tea were easy approach and friendly. The reception staff should learn from their colleagues what is a 5-star hotel service as no guest greeting whenever I approached the counter. No explanation given on the usage of pool, gym (during CMCO period) and breakfast. Just told me the wi-fi password. I regretted that I still have another Lazada for Eastin Hotel. Should have buy other hotels vouchers.

Responded 9 Mar 2021
Dear codyauyong, Thank you for taking the time to feedback on your experience with us recently and please accept my sincere apologies for the hassles you went through which understandably marred your overall time with us. We as a hotel wish to make every guest's stay as seamless and problem free as possible and in this case we failed with lack of information and communication which would have made a difference. We will address the issues directly with our teams especially the front office and ensure we adjust and improve across all areas especially guest courtesy. The steps used for the voucher redemption will of course look to simplify and reduce the complexity. Thank you for your kind words on the other staff and your feedback on the high tea,we review constantly and always are looking to add and change to develop to a higher level of qualities and selection available. Once again my apologies and I understand your apprehension to use the other redemption with us and hope you will give us the opportunity to show the side of hospitality we are well known for. I look forward to meeting yourself upon your arrival in the future and wish you a good week ahead. Kind Regards Andrew

The location is quite far from the city of Kuala Lumpur but you only need about 15 to 30 minutes to get to famous shopping malls such as One Utama, Mid Valley, NU Central and so on. The hotel is adjacent to the oldest University in Malaysia, the University of Malaya and also adjacent to the Petaling Jaya & Kelana Jaya industrial areas. The location is quiet and suitable for relaxation because the hotel facilities are also complete.
