The location is quite far from the city of Kuala Lumpur but you only need about 15 to 30 minutes to get to famous shopping malls such as One Utama, Mid Valley, NU Central and so on. The hotel is adjacent to the oldest University in Malaysia, the University of Malaya and also adjacent to the Petaling Jaya & Kelana Jaya industrial areas. The location is quiet and suitable for relaxation because the hotel facilities are also complete.

Dear JAMILEYJAAFAR, Thank you for taking the time to share with us you experiences at Eastin Hotel and appreciate your feedback and comments. Our location is a relaxing choice but as you say all the major shopping malls and complexes can be reached with just a short ride on the MRT or a 15 minute drive. We look forward to welcoming you once again in the near future and wish you a great week ahead Kind Regards Andrew Law General Manager

I went on a group trip 7 people over 5 rooms and Harry was really amazing how he organised massages, food drinks and even transfers to airport with his friendly smiling nature. If you want to be treated well stay here. Well done Harry and thankyou for your service.

It’s the second time I’m staying at the Eastin, and if I have the choice this will be my default base for business stay.

The customer service from front of house to room service is impeccable. I love how ergonomic the room is: there is plenty of storage for me to unpack into, so that I can keep the room tidy and restful for myself.

Both times i stayed here I was under an extremely tight schedule, but in-room dining sorted me out: the portion sizes are large.

importantly, for business stay, the WIFI is excellent and most reliable. I could do Zoom calls with no lag at all.

The only mild challenge is the traffic right outside the hotel: at peak times standstill traffic runs right in front of the hotel that makes it slightly challenging to get a car, but i factored that in and just left sooner.

I was having an event in Eastin two weeks ago from the 16th Mar 2021 until 18th Mar 2021. The room was smelly and the toilet flush button was leaking. The air conditioner in the room was not fully functioning well as when we checked in into the room, the room was stuffy. Even the air conditioner at the corridor was not on, it was hot and stuffy as well.

The food was not as tasty as expected, the potato was the worst, the taste was so weird. Whenever we requested for additional rice, it took so long to be served and even the dessert also only served after we finished our meal and left the restaurant, only a few people managed to have their dessert. Even before we left the restaurant, the staffs also didn't tell us there will be a dessert after this.

During the last day of our event, my friend was treated badly at the restaurant, we were asked to sit so far away from buffet station as we were told that the tables that located near to the buffet station had already been reserved by someone else. But, the instruction was not given clearly then my friend went and sat on the reserved table, then one of the staffs showed her “unhappy” face to my friend. Another thing is, when my another friend didn't realize that the cutlery was actually been provided on the table and he was trying to get the cutlery from some place else, then one of the staffs stopped my friend from doing that and she sounded very rude to my friend (according to my friend, she was actually the same person who showed her "unhappy " face previously).

Understood that the hotel is lacked of manning, but there are a few things that you need to improve especially during this trouble time. Room should be inspected properly before the guests check in. When the guests are being assigned to a particular room that located on a particular floor, the air conditioner at the corridor should be on. Next, the table management at the restaurant needs to improve as well, you should locate the guest near to their buffet station. If the table have already been reserved by someone else, the labelling should be done properly by putting the name of the guest or the event organizer. This is also to avoid the misunderstanding between hotel and guests. Hope can see your improvement after this.

Alex_t0331 Thank you for your feedback and please accept my apologies on the lacklustre service across your time with us. Rest assured we have addressed the issues with our teams to ensure that this does not happen in the future. We are a hotel which is known for its service and in this instance something went badly wrong and the approach of our teams is not what we expect. We do hope you will give us the opportunity to show the real service and qualities of the hotel in the future and once again my apologies for your experience. Best Regards Andrew Law

Another terrible experience staying in this hotel,
1. U will never imagine u will see many cockroaches surrounding you in the room, and not only in room and in toilet as well. I have 3 kids with me in the family suite, but since day 1 already mentioned to the house keeping. But then again, I will "meet" the cockroaches until I left.

2. Low maintenance - downlight is hanging and no functioning. Side table bulb is mot installed properly, I nd to fix it myself.

3. Glass is break after I pour hot water, luckily my son not getting injured. Mentioned this issue to the managaer on duty. The reaction is, ok, alright.

4. Since the room I booked without breakfast, and decided to walk in since was public holiday, when I took the plates and glass, most of that are dirty. And the staffs there are not well trained.

5. When I was at the concierge counter, waiting more than 15minutes to get my parking ticket to validate, no one attended, until shouted at the staff then only come to attend with slumber face.

Well, I can't imagine this is 5 star rated hotel. Used to be regular customers here, but this round make us so disappointed.

Stayed for second time on 30 October 2021 using Lazada voucher. Arrived at hotel before 2pm and was allowed to check-in. This time the reception didn’t request to see my Lazada voucher and I thought what a great start of my stay. However, I had to change rooms twice.

First room (room number 904) had no electricity upon entering the room. So, I went down to the reception and informed them the issue. I went for my hi-tea and waited for about 1 hour. Then, I went up to my room and still the room had no power. I went down to reception again and was given another room without an apology or explanation. So, I had to bring my bags and changed to second room.

Second room (room number 417) was a smoking floor despite making a request during reservation that I preferred a non-smoking room. I thought maybe the hotel was fully occupied. Ms Hema, please update your knowledge as the hotel did have smoking rooms. I had unpacked everything and was ready to take a bath. Guess what? The room had no hot water. Then, I had to wait for maintenance staff to check and was told the problem could not be solved and had to change room. Furthermore, according to him the first room should not be given to me in the first place as it was an out of order room. I had to repack my things and waited for the reception to bring a new room card for the third room.

Third room (room number 1507). Rusty kettle, main phone not working, broken side mirror, dust on every corner of the cabinets, spoilt weighing scale and alarm clock (see pictures). I already too tired to complain as every time I had to wait at least 30 minutes for staff to check and I had to go out for my dinner appointment.

The next morning, I went for breakfast and the gas stove at the egg station was switch on and left unattended for more than 10 minutes. Luckily, no untoward incident happened.

Despite all the hassles of changing rooms and poor room conditions, no room upgrade or complimentary meal being offered. Will not return.

Hotel is old and room is non functional despite paying a premium for better room.

The hotel is also unsafe as there’s no lock from inside. The ironing board fell off the wall. The TV are not working but more importantly is the security of the room as it is near the stairs but one can’t lock the room.

The front deck is inexperienced and can’t handle request effectively when it comes to early check in. But as long as you mentioned you are willing to pay a bit more the room became available.

The service standard is also bad as I was given 3 different replies when it comes to make up room timing from 930am to 10am to 1030am.

The toaster at the cafe is also not working for the 2 days I was staying.

Overall, avoid paying premium price 4.5 stars for a 2 stars hotel like this.

We had an issue during our stay at Eastin Hotel. The hotel has water disruption from check in (16/12) until check out (17/12). Not single drop of water until 10p.m on 16th December. They didn't notify the guests earlier and only clarify as low pressure during check in. However, we managed to solve the problem and get a good response from Mr. Seelan and Mr.Thava. They totally knew on how to greet the guests and promise to get in touch with us in the same week. Thank you to both of them. After three days from check out, we got an official email from the hotel. As compensation, we have been offered a "complimentary 2 days 1 nights with breakfast".

Looking forward for our next stay and hope this problem will not happen again.

Regards.

Wonderful place to stay - some distance from the centre of KL, but close to a Metro station. Huge, beautiful, clean room. Wonderful restaurant (we ate breakfast and dinner there). Staff were excellent (especially Hilda). Breakfast was magnificent and there were many interesting Malaysian dishes for dinner.
Secure car parking under the hotel for a fee. <10 minute walk to Metro station.
We didn't use the pool; but the environs were very peaceful and we could listen to bird song in the mornings.
