I was disappointed when i found there’s no face nor hand towels in the room. Only bath towels are available. When I called for housekeeping if i could kindly get a hand towel or face towel, they sent another bath towel. The next day they gave an extra bath towel, and they noticed i have a little one that loves to draw and used up all the papers for drawing. They gave us more papers. There wasnt any tissue paper at the work table when we just checked in. Knowing i have a little one I think they gave us another box of tissue paper. Very thoughtful gesture. Thank you very much
The location of this hotel is perfect, walking distance to the curve, and just beside IKEA. Other than that, room is not really a 5star standard, to me is 3star to 3.5star. The wallpapers in the room is beginning to peel off. The bathroom cleanliness need improvements. The tv is one of the smallest for a five star hotel. And there is no hand towel, Bath robe and slipper provided. Wardrobe door is difficult to open as well. And service is bad as well, when I dropped my mom at the front, no one helped my mum to carry the bags. I really hope the management would take action to improve the hotel from the room to services. This hotel has so much potential. The furnishing is old too
On first glance the hotel is ok. But if you look closer you’ll notice the wall paper is peeling in places. There’s stains on the carpet. The skirting boards are dirty. The hotel is in dire need of a renovation to make it comparable to other hotels. The breakfast buffet is adequate. I also stayed at the One World Hotel one stop away in Bandar Utama, and highly recommend that hotel.
2D1N stay, 2 rooms(connecting room 620-622), without breakfast. Good: -Fast check in and check out. No hassle at all. - Spacious room -Staffs are all very nice and friendly. -Internal bridge linking to The Curve, IPC mall, Ikea. -Ample of parkings and yes FREE PARKING!!!! Just give your TnG Card to the front desk when you are checking out. - Beds, pillow, bath towels are white clean. - Provides toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, hairdryer, iron & ironing board, hair & body shampoo, slippers in room. - Quiet night. - R620 is cleaned and all good Bad: - R622 basin is clogged, slow water draining. - R622, forgot to restock many things such as floor mat, slippers, complementary coffee and tea, and tissue. They forgot to clean up previous customer leftover coffee in the mini fridge made by using the complementary coffee in the mini bar. - R622 toilet light bulb is broken, cannot light up. - R622 bed linen is torn about 15cm ruler long. - Both rooms' bathroom floor and basin have mold (you can see it in picture shown below) - Pillows very soft, have a stiff neck the next morning Overall: Like my title said, will definitely coming back if they change pillow hahhaha. Because a good sleep will make vacation more happy. Other than the unclean R622, everything is great. Didnt try their breakfast because this hotel is surrounded by malls. Picture shown are all in R620. Forgot to take picture of R622.…
Having meeting here for 2 days. First day, the staff validate my card and give me free parking. Second day encounter a super rude duty manager name Bismir. He claim that I have to pay flat rate RM8 but I question why previous day I got it free. When I was talking to my team, I say this is crazy, 1 day free 1 day need pay RM8 and he accuse me that I say him crazy. Basically I got bank statement show that yesterday charges was RM0.00 and he arrogantly said I can’t even afford RM8. This is not matter of RM8 or not, it’s unfair charges between 2 days. I got 6 colleagues that can be witness on this Bismir rudeness.
I haven't check in the hotel but the service teribbly bad. We would like to request for a corporate rate and called the hotel. The operator very friendly and polite to help us transfer the call to Sales Department. After for short conversation, the sales person - Mi.. asked us to email the enquiry. We been emailed for at least 5 days but never get any feedback. Called on the third day after email, no one in Sales Department answer the call, no matter how many time been called. Leave the message, no one response. Such terrible experience service for Sales Department!! Highly not recommend this hotel if required the company corporate rate.
This hotel is actually beautiful, it still is But a lot of things need to be improved Like a lot Or else It’s rather disappointing because it’s a five-star hotel But I won’t say it’s very bad overall First of all the soundproof is very bad I keep hearing stomping noise from upstairs and next door for hours and hours Even after midnight around 3am I’ve complained to the reception but I guess it’s the bad soundproof I couldn’t sleep well the on and off noise was loud I had to wear my earphones :( There’s quite a distance between guest room lift to the lobby The hotel is not that well maintained Table lamp in my room is spoiled The corridor and room has this old carpet smell I can’t sleep The smell is rather strong and unpleasant TV is small Only a few pathetic channels lol Wifi is weak Oh yeah 99% of the hotel guests are Malay mostly family None of them is wearing mask none Due to the new SOP Most hotel staffs are friendly Room service took too long I called housekeeping for hours First time they picked up but they never came Then I called again for a dew times Nobody picked up anymore I had to call the receptionist again The room is not that clean either You can see torn up wall and ceiling And stains everywhere etc etc It’s not being repaired or anything Food is nice but a little overpriced Breakfast buffet was super normal and crowded Not five star at all Not really worth this much of money I’ll say Luckily I just stayed for one night for work I wanted to extend initially but I’ve changed my mind I’m really particular when it comes to bad soundproof and bad smell But all their staffs are really well trained and nice and friendly This is a bonus However A lot of things need to be improved A lot lol…
Large rooms in a hotel that has an infinity pool. Great place to stay in with families.. We decided to come and stay in this hotel for the amenities that it is connected to. We are actually rather abit disappointed that the mall right beside it is actually closed. E-Curve is the mall that is directly link beside this hotel but it is closed, probably due to the effect of d pandemic. But well, all is not lost, as the Curve (different to E-Curve) is open and the E-Curve mall has an opened link to d rest of the places, eg, Ikea, IPC...etc. Lets dive into the review.. 😄 Rooms: We had 2 connecting rooms on level 8 for our whole family. The room was huge but looked abit dated, thus the reason why it was 4 stars. Wallpaper looked peeled due to moisture, wear n tear. We do feel that it could be improved as it would not take much effort if aesthetic works are done within every 6months.. The toilet, bath and sink are separated into 3 areas within the washroom itself. U can imagine how big it will be 3 different person can come n do their own wants n needs inside the washroom at one time. Anyway, in terms of cleanliness, it could be better. We will leave it at 4 or 4.5 since there can be improvements. Beds felt abit seasoned and linens didnt feel n smell top end but at least it looks clean. Pillows were soft and would be better if were d long ones.. but well, its good enough la eh.. carpet on the floor looks dated and abit worn out n needs some TLC in scrubbing n washing. Tables n fixtures could be improved with abit of paint touch up. But do not let our words discourage u to come over as this serves to improve the place. And we did have a great time in the room as it was really spacious and clean. Service: The staff were polite, especially those when we interacted with, while having breakfast. D reception was good and they were attentive but we didnt communicate much with them except for start, end and abit of here n there.. but the service level would be rated at 9-9.5 if we are to give as an overall for them Location: We chose this because of the amenities, as we mentioned earlier. This hotel is connected to the train service, near to one utama (10mins walk) and more. Buying items when u are lazy is actually easy since everything is nearby. Getting new shoes, merchandise and even food is very simple. They had everything around the area. All you needed to do was to just walk abit and it is all there.. we would give a perfect ten for the location😊👍😄. Overall: We love the whole place, the layout, proximity for other malls...etc.. and we definitely will come back here should there be an opportunity. Cheers! #piquedwanderer #hotelroyalechulandamansara #royalechulan #royalechulandamansara #damansara #kl #kualalumpur #malaysia…
I didn’t stay but came here with my family (7 pax) for Father’s Day lunch on 19 June 2022 via the Hotel’s High Tea buffet. We had a lovely experience. Staff were friendly, food was simple (mainly local food) & tasty, excellent ambience. They also had a 4 piece band to entertain with lovely music! It may not be comparable to some 5* hotels but if you want somewhere relaxing and good ambience, this is the place. A pleasant surprise for my family. Well done to the hotel & staff 👍
Despite having the moniker Royal on its name, there was nothing Royal about this hotel at all. Entering the hotel from the back entrance of which is conveniently connected to the MRT, I was taken aback by the dark ambience of the hotel interior. It felt like walking into a haunted mansion. I passed by unfriendly staffs at the hotel restaurant/cafe on the way to the lift. Walking out the lift towards the hotel lobby, I was shocked to see the carpets mouldy and wall paint flaking off. I noticed one of the lobby sofa's leather was torn at the seat. They definitely have seen better days. Surely not a sight to behold for the hotel guest though. Regardless, I checked in. Room 9XX I was given. The room was big and spacious, and has an old austere feel to it. I unpacked while the missus goes to shower. Suddenly, the door opened and to my surprise a stranger gentleman walked in but not before exclaiming in surprise himself. Apparently, he too was given the same room despite checking in later than us by an hour. How the receptionist could have made this mistake is beyond me. He left rather unceremoniously but not before startling my wife when she walked out of the shower, half naked only to see a stranger in the room. Unfazed, we decided to enjoy the city. Upon returning, we found that our access card isn't functioning. Off to the lobby we went to get a new set of cards. This unfortunate incident repeated itself once a day for 3 days. Breakfast was basic and mediocre. It felt like a 3 star hotel buffet instead of a 5 star one. Surely, the Royal Chulan could have served better selections. The only plus point is that its conveniently connected to the MRT so travelling within KL was made easy. I would be avoiding this hotel and the rest of the Royal Chulans in the future.…
