I went to this place for some days because of the central location nearby the LRT station and because I like to swim sometimes. This hotel is supposed to be the oldest in PJ it was built in 1952. I liked the lobby with its architecture style, specially the round stairs and the decorations. The big swimming pool is situated in the middle of a green garden.I enjoyed this calm place several times after a long exhausting day. The staff was always friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet included western and local food for only 20 MYR. They provide lunch and diner too in a special atmosphere. Because this is a Muslim place, no alcohol was offered. The bathroom needs a new restorationa but I could deal with this inconvenience. At all I can conclude that I would like to come again to this quite, old fashioned place, which has a touch of the past century. …
Not worth the RM138 I paid. The paint was peeling from the bathroom ceiling, the basin did not have a plug, the basin came away from the wall. The paint on the bedroom wall was damaged and the view from the balcony was of a squat. It should be closed down.
not so friendly hotel staffs. from the outside, the hotel's ambience looks good and cozy. but the rooms need more touch ups. me and family have been travelling quite frequently and we could find other hotels at a cheaper price with far more better services. the room smells with paint, the washroom condition was DISGUSTING for an accommodation called HOTEL. i have been to this hotel few years back. to my surprise, after my recent visit, nothing much refurbishment done. My husband and kids refuse to come back for another stay. i must also comment on the foods served for breakfast. perhaps the hotel management should find other/new chef. FOODS TASTED LOUSY. Cold porridge, plastic tasted nasi lemak, tasteless coffee and kuihs. even my kids couldn't be bothered to finish their cereals because the milk tasted not fresh. car park also were dark at night. the security was busy doing his own business rather than seriously care about guests's safety and traffic movement around the hotel lobby towards the hotel's car park. we will not come again ;not recommend to our friends and families. not worth the $$$!…
Why I highlighted the 3 stars ? Because it is 3 stars and not 4 or 5 so it is not fair to expect full services and qualities like the more stars hotel. Granted the furnitures are a bit old in the rooms and the tv is still crt not led but on the plus sides it does have nice pool with good surrounding, the parking lot is adequate, the hotel is clean, the staffs are friendly so I could live with minor shortcomings.
i was there few days ago, unfortunately it was a stressful experience. we arrived after midnight exhausted from the long drive dying for good sleep in a comfortable hotel room. paid RM165 for a room per night + RM50 deposit. we got a connecting room as we planned for a second room for my brother the next day. entering the room, it was stuffy as if there was poor ventilation & dusty. the wood finishing floor was so dusty that each time we enter the bathroom we leave black footprints on the wet bathroom floor. the bathroom! old & rusty, i immediately missed our own bathroom at home. the air-conditioner was not cooling us enough that i slept all night not using my blanket. not to forget the loud noise outside (as if there was a karaoke going on) untill 2.00am. the next day when i was about to complain, the receptionist guessed straight away that i was going to complain on the loud noise. made me feel even more upset, why didnt u warn us about the noise if u knew about it, we would've asked for a different room! we cancelled staying the second night. felt sorry for ourselves. the receptionist didnt even apologise on behalf of the hotel, neither did she thanked me for my advise on improving their maintenance for their rooms. all rooms, not just the most frequently used only. oh yeah, by the way, i booked the room 1 week in advance, & phoned earlier the same day we were coming to confirm the booking, but obviously booking early didnt help them provide the best hospitality for us.…
Classic Hotel. The staff are very good but the facilities are average. Food are good but the options are limited. Free wifi are not provides(20 ringgit per day for a wifi). The hall air conditioners are not working very properly.
Totally unacceptable conditions: mold prevails in the bathrooms; plaster is peeling from walls and the ceilings; hairdryers do not work. I was totally afraid to look under the sheets at the mattress - one of our party found encrusted "material" on the underside of his sheets. We did change rooms once to one with lesser mold. Needless to say, I would never allow anyone to make reservations for me here again. Never.
We visited backseat family paid for us to be close and they stayed at this hotel as long time and frequent guests. As such they know the staff intimately and the convenient location next to the train terminal (within walking distance) gives patrons access to all of KL/Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. As a frequenter of cheaper 1-3 star hotels, this has to rate poorly in terms of maintenance and cleanliness. Don't look to closely at the pool ( we swam lots), don't look too closely at the bathroom or the room, and you will be ok as these are offsets to the location. Breakfast is basic and sometimes a bit dodgy (off fruits if you get there late in the morning). But all in all, scores points on location, public transport, friendly staff and super cheap
I am a risk taker. I usually check out reviews and eventually go with my gut feeling. This time, my gut was wrong! (Note that I am a cheap date. Easily pleased. Not this time!) Check in was a breeze. The reception ladies were pleasant. I had no complaints. They directed us to the room. Things changed when we arrived the walkway and entrance to our rooms. General Area =========== DIRT and DUST (perhaps from a year over) were all over the floor in front of our rooms. I looked for a broom (which was easy to find) and I swept the floor at the entrance of our rooms. Yes. I'm sure some of the guest thought I was housekeeping. (for the record, the broom was still where I left it, with the dirt, when we checked out the next day!) In the room ========= Shocking. The toilet had rust stains. The bath tub had rust stains. One of the shower faucets were not even there. There was an opening on the top of the wall where a window should have been. Hot air from the kitchen below came right in. Cups and saucers were not washed properly. Had coffee stains from who knows when! Drapes had huge watermark stains. Not pleasant at all! Bed was alright; comfortable. I dared to sleep on it. Breakfast ======= Thank goodness the breakfast was alright. Delicious nasi lemak and mee mamak. Nice hot coffee. Overall ====== I WILL NEVER STAY HERE EVER AGAIN. ps: for all risk takers like me, please don't risk it with this one.…
Spend short weekend with in law's family here, last week. Well known location, easily accessible by car or monorail. Average hotel with old fashioned decoration and furniture. Everything in clean, working conditions even though look old. Big pool and clean clear water. Love the 114, facing the pool. Kids enjoying the pool till 9pm. Lots of parking with security guard monitoring the area. Breakfast was average, nothing special. Standard room was, charged RM186/nett with breakfast.
