This is a budget hotel. The rooms are small but they are clean. Not many tv channels but you do get BBC & Fox movies. The bathroom is adequate but I do not like the layout of the bathroom & toilet where the bath & toilet is not separated. No lifts, so if you get the 3rd Floor like I did it is quite a climb with your luggage. Location wise it is conveniently located to Starling Shopping Mall and there are many eating places near-by as well as banks & mini-marts. Well just for a night in transit, this hotel is ok.

I was once stayed in sovotel damansara 101. It was nice and worth the money. But this time, on 23 Feb 2019, I stayed sovotel uptown 36, I was expecting the same service. With early booking and full payment made. Checked in at 2pm, I was there around 215pm. The receptionist need my “voucher number” as I booked under hotels.com. So I don’t have any “voucher number” but only booking number with me, and my boyfriend name in the email. Show him and he still insisted the “voucher number”. I don’t understand why because it must be a record if we booked and fully paid. He receptionist do not let us to be check in until he get the “voucher number”. Wait for the manager and after the chaos, almost an hour to get my room checked in?????????????? What explanation I got was, we booked for STANDARD ROOM and the receptionist put in the system was BASIC ROOM. This explanation was very ridiculous. Please get your receptionist well trained before go to work and fully handle at the counter. I understand it is not an EXPENSIVE ROOM but come on. We come all the way far, not even request for a single thing, no early check in, just want to get a rest after a long trip journey and this is the service I got. I am sorry but SOVOTEL, I WILL NEVER STAY ANY OF YOUR PROPERTY ANYMORE. NOT EVEN DIFFERENT BRANCHES ANYMORE. Great CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER.

Although this property is a budget hotel I would not stay here again. The room is very small and had a massage chair. I and I think most people would prefer a table. There is no lift which is hard if you are put on the 3rd floor and have a large amount of luggage. I would have liked the TV to have more English language channels. There also appears to be something wrong with the toilet plumbing. There were no signs to not put toilet paper down the toilet (as is the case in Athens) and the toilet in my room blocked up. Luckily there was a housekeeping cart near my room and it had a toilet plunger on it and I was able to take care of this issue myself. The other thing that was bad was the noise in the small hours after 3am on a Sunday morning with people talking and yelling. It went for hours which affected my sleep. On the positive side, the hotel is certainly well located near a big shopping centre. In the shopping centre and around it there are many restaurants and places to get a meal. There is also a grocery market in the shopping centre to buy supplies including water.

Walk in price is more cheaper than online 'booking', yet still entitle another 25% off if using credit card. Feel cheated. Booked a middle price room but was given a no window room, when request to change , the front desk said that's normal for this price. Finally get a room with windows. Written that straightly no smoking, but the room I got smell of cigarette. Workers was so loud talking in the corridor hardly get a good rest. It was a terrible moment I had experience.

The hotel is located in Damansara Utama, a convenient location for nearly food and a new shopping mall, and not far away for frequently used areas of Petaling Jaya. It is a basic hotel, no lifts, self-service. No free parking is provided. One has to pay to park at the municipal parking bays at the road around the hotel. The rooms are adequate and just spacious enough to sleep in, 10 metres square for a basic double room. You have to prompt them if you need clean towels. No auto daily room cleaning service. The bathroom is fine. For me the mattress is not hard enough, and I do not like the aircon blowing at me in the sleeping position, even at lowest fan speed. Recommended for a budget no-frills stay.

This hotel is located on the same row as CIMB bank facing LDP Expressway. The room is clean, have hot shower if needed. The TV channels are limited should you decided too lazy to walk around. At the back of the hotel there is Starling Mall is you want to shop and dine.

This hotel looks great on the reception front but nothing more thereafter. Room is small and without window. Bathroom stink, sink leaking, Toilet bowl clogged. Literally nowhere to place basic toiletries. Will not stay in this so call boutique hotel anymore.

Spent 2 nights in this hotel. Decided this hotel as I found this is the best budget hotel in this area. The hotel is new and the rooms are equipped with flat screen cable TV and WiFi. However the room given to me is located at the ground floor which I find it very noisy even at late night as people are walking in and out of the hotel which definitely affected my sleep. Perhaps I should get a room at the 3rd floor ...it should be more quiet.
