Due to extended stopovers at Kuala Lumpur Airport we stayed at Holiday Inn Sepang on two separate occasions. The hotel is in a pleasant location in the centre of Kota Warisan township.
Check in was smooth, on both occasions I was recognised as IHG Diamond Ambassador member and upgrade was granted with lounge access included for the IHG Reward cardholder but the 2nd person was chargeable. As a member of IHG rewards for 22 years I would expect lounge access to be available for all upgraded guests and possibly this could be reviewed.
I am basing the room review on the first stay, the 2nd stay was identical. The room was spacious with a wide range of facilities including TV with a wide range of international/domestic channels, tea/coffee facilities and hugely comfortable beds. The bathroom was fine with a powerful shower and wall mounted soap and shower gel dispensers
The Executive Lounge was very good with a wide range of alcoholic and soft drinks available during Happy hour as well as a varied selection of hot and cold dishes available. Breakfast was great with a generous selection of items including a good range of refrigerated fresh fruit.
We used the pool area which was an added bonus, it was a lovely setting and wished we could have had more time to spend there.
We used the airport shuttle services which were punctual and provided easy access to both terminals at KLIA. We thoroughly enjoyed our stays at Holiday Inn Sepang. Although we were disappointed about the extra charge for lounge access we think the hotel deserves 5 stars for the professionalism of the staff, location and just because it was just such a nice place to stay.

Stayed for one night to catch early morning flight at KLIA.
Check in - super fast and they acknowledged being Gold member. Room keys were ready in a flash and they arranged a connecting rooms (without me asking) and all rooms were on the same floor. Greatly appreciated this efficient initiatives from the Associates. Friendly attitudes with smile faces on all of them (2 ladies & 1 gentleman - sorry didn't get all your names).
Rooms - as expected from Holiday Inn. Generously spacious, hard & soft pillow, comfy bed, good selection of tv channels, 2 drinking bottles. Bathroom spacious, complete with hand and face towels. Water pressure perfect.
Location - super convenient. Surrounded by one local mall (KIP Mall) with lots of food outlets, many restaurant and one reflexology centre. All within walking distance from the hotel.
Parking - free parking with one guard monitoring. Very good.
Didn't go to the swimming pool as arrived at night. From the room, the pool looks spacious enough.
Stayed at level 8. Hardly heard all the noises from outside. Good sleep.
Recommended stay if you need a transit for the night.

I was excited to have found this property on my IHG app, and booked it immediately as I was on transit and a early flight the next morning. I checked in quite late and learned that the hotel was only two weeks old, and knowing that I won’t make it for breakfast the next morning , I was excited to have dinner at the hotel. Room was brand new, spacious and everything worked except there’s no multi plug inside the room, now this MUST be addressed by the management, there are easy options to change the plugs or provide a adaptor in the room. This shouldn’t happen to a brand new hotel with only local wall sockets. When called the service line, I was advised that I can buy one from the convenience store nearby, it was late and I didn’t bother. Bell staff in the lobby also needs to be more attentive, I had given the Grab car number(and my luggage) while I went to the front desk to check out. As I was the only person checking out that time during that period, he could have lookout for the car number but when I went out of the lobby I was looking for the car myself, where the whole time the Grab car was already at the entrance, so I was quite displeased with the incident as I was already running late. Room service payment option could also improve, and while the local Sepang fried rice was well presented, its taste could improve.

The room seemed fine, good size everything you need for a stop over here in KL. Friendly staff, Then - The restaurant didn’t serve alcoholic drinks (fine, it’s a Muslim country), so we went to the bar (in the hotel) where they said we could order food, fine, but they had no beer lol!! So we asked if they would send drinks to the room (we bought beer from the deli across the road), yes, but the food was inedible, and not as described, complained, said they tan out etc. Sent it back. Couldn’t refund, to difficult 🤷♀️. Couldn’t charge the drinks to the room, had to pay per drink every time they came up 🙄. Manager apologised and offered free breakfast tomorrow (scared to death). Did get a free Margarita and a glass of red wine 🙌. Went to Burger King across the road at 9.45pm, said they closed at 10pm! Nope already shut. Had to order Uber eats (Grab eats in Malaysia). Partner then had a shower and there were black hairs in the shower 🤷♀️. Not the best experience for us. Foot note: Did have firm and soft pillows on the bed!! 👍

One meal we send it back( no refund) i should send my back as well … soaked in oil 🤮 room service Holiday Inn Sepang - Airport, an IHG Hotel (Jalan Warisan Sentral, Kip Sentral, Kota Warisan, Sepang, Selangor, Malaysia) the only option Burger King online They sell 5/6 different beers … at 18:30 they don’t have any! They didn’t have chicken too 😂 I’m expected bit more from kind of hotel ! Next time go to cheap one, if they don’t have a beer or room service… it’s ok for a small hotel

Stayed in Sama Sama Airport hotel that is a walking distance to KLIA. It is really basic. Hence, I decided to take a 15 mins grab to this new holiday inn for a change. The hotel is clean, breakfast costs usd10 per person. It’s good value of money. Around the area, there’s a chemist,a 7-11 and a supermarket that’s not selling much. The two comments I have : 1) room service, only a few choices, the QR code that shows the menu cannot be found in my room or my mums room . Need to call the receptionist 2) don’t like the parsley shower gel. I have not tried shampoo or conditioner but it’s also somewhat weird plant that is used. That’s only my personal opinion. Overall, it’s good value for money and the 15 mins taxi ride is worth it. I shall stay here again if I have to transit from Malaysia again.

I stayed at Holiday Inn Sepang on 13 August 2024, in Room 1219, due to a flight cancellation with Saudi Airlines, and my experience was disappointing. When I checked in, I asked for all necessary information, like the airport transfer schedule, but received none. Instead, I was woken up at the last minute and told I had just 20 minutes to catch the bus, leading to unnecessary stress and a rushed departure.
The payment process was also mishandled. The food court staff asked me to sign a bill, then came back with a second one for another signature. This mix-up just added to the confusion and frustration.
Additionally, I had an issue with the laundry service. I wasn’t informed about any charges, wasn’t asked to sign anything, and wasn’t told that my laundry would be sent to an outside cleaner (without my approval). Ahmad Najihuddin at reception acknowledged the mistake and said the charges would be waived. However, while I was checking out, NORHISHAM NAZARI approched me and was extremely unprofessional. He didn't introduce himself, asked me to sign and pay on a document I hadn’t even read (after the issue had already been settled with another staff member), didn't provide any explanation, interrupted me, refused to listen, and rudely told me to "google it yourself" when I asked for management contact details. He even threatened to withhold my laundry unless I paid.
I strongly advise against staying at this hotel as it does not meet the standards expected of a Holiday Inn.

New and clean hotel. The hotel is around 15 mins away from the airport and they have free shuttle bus to the airport. Smooth check in process. They have convenience stores and fast food chains nearby the hotel. Recommend to stay here if you have an early morning flight.

This is a new hotel in Kota Warisan. The location of this hotel very strategic at the center of small town where you can have almost everything nearby. The food stall, cafe and fast food restaurant just walking distance from hotel. The rooms are modern and very clean. The bathroom smelly when it dry. But it still ok. They provide all the basic amenities such as fridge, hair dryer, water heater & iron. Food for breakfast also nice but it better if there is variety of menu. Facilities like gym and swimming pool are in good condition. Will come again for staycation..
