Detailed Reviews
It is only 15-20 minutes from the airport so i recommend this hotel when you wait your next flight from KL. They also provide pick up and drop off with affordable price (only RM5.50) when you stay at this hotel. There is lot of restaurant around this hotel.

The room was clean but smelled musty since the power only goes on for the air con when the key card is used to connect.
Cannot really open the windows to air out as they are located in an area that is like a shift and not fresh air.
Since the description says near airport we expected it closer. Not much in the area definitely not to get food.

I use this hotel whenever I travel through KL airport, ideal location for both klia & klia2, they do regular collection and drop off at given times, at a very reasonable cost. As for the hotel itself, very clean, trendy, polite and positive staff, the rooms are well equipped, tea & coffee facilities ect, this hotel is very good value, a little gem in my book!!, be aware, it's about 10 plus minutes from the airport, from when they pick you up. I recommend this hotel and will continue to use it as I am a frequent traveler through these airports. If you found this helpfull, I'd appreciate your vote, many thanks and have a good trip. BM

The hotel needs renovation. Bathroom was completely wet after shower and it kept leaking. You hear everything from outside in the room, the insulation is really bad. The bed and pillow are bad, very soft and not comfortable. The airport shuttle is expensive and we got picked up from hotel 20 mins late. That is irresponsible when you have to catch a flight. The owner of this service is not taking care at all, "it can happen". Better take a Grab, more reliable and cheaper.

Thanks for giving us towels with holes n stains.
Thanks for the room with cockroaches.
Thanks for the bedsheet with dirty shoes print on it n curly hair on it.
Thanks for the noisy air cond room that makes me awake the whole night and thanks for the toilet with leaking prob and strong urine smell.
Nvr in my life seeing the receptionist having good time with his vape right in front of guest in the reception counter. Nt forget to mention dont expect hospitality n even a smole from all the staffs.
Last but nt least, i request for an extra pillow n duvet. It comes with extra charges and 3hours waiting and I have remind the reception again and again then still forgot to send me that.
The last call i made, the receptionist actually dont know we request for it for awhile! Problem between the noon shift n night shift staff.
Overall very very very unhappy experience with this hotel. Dirty room, noisy aircond and unhelpful staffs.

I still curse myself for having booked this hotel for our one night stopover in KL enroute to Langkawi. We had our tickets from BKK to KUL for 23 May reaching KLIA2 at about 620pm and the connecting flight for LGK was booked for next day morning at 1000am.
I did not want to rush with the flights and rather opted to spend the night at KL as we were travelling with two small kids(aged 4 and 8 respectively).I had done a bit of research on TP and eventually booked ourselves at The Youniq for the night of 23 May 2015. The agoda website at the time of booking a triple bedroom prompted to contact hotel directly for arranging the airport pick up transfers. Subsequently I exchanged few emails with the hotel and was informed that the pick up service operates at an interval of every two hours and we would need to wait until 8 pm in order to avail this service. The charges would be 5.50 MYR per person per way.
Our flight from BKK arrived on scheduled time on the 23rd evening and we had to wait for over one and a half hours at the arrival hall for the pick up guy to take us to the hotel.
We drove for about 15 minutes before reaching Youniq which is located at an isolated spot on the airport highway road with nothing much around. The whole place looks quite desolate. The hotel is a very small and basic property decorated with maroon flash lights on the outside to give it a funky and modern look. The two Malay Chinese girls who were manning the check in counter were very rude and spoke in a manner which is unheard of in a service Industry. They insisted that since I had booked a triple bed room for my family; one of my kids would be required to pay 100% additional surcharge for the airport transfers and the rate applicable would be two times the normal rate. It defied all logic and my request for an explanation went into deaf ears. It took them over an hour to finally check us in after collecting 50 SGD security deposit for the room and settling off the transfer bill through my cc.
The dull lightning of the corridors made me feel even worse and overall gave an impression of a haunted movie settings. The triple bedroom was so small that I kept wondering how other guests staying in a double bedroom would be managing themselves all night. The room despite having a small glass window was useless because it opened into a dark wall overlooking someone else's bathroom and bedroom window. Our bathroom was neat and the aircon was the only other thing worth mentioning.
We barely slept for few hours before leaving the hotel at 7 am to catch our domestic flight to Langkawi. Although the room rates were inclusive of breakfast, we didn't even bother to go the dining hall when one of the guests checking out with us mentioned that there was nothing for breakfast. They just had few slices of white bread lying next to a toaster and the orange juice served smelled more like medicine.
We left this place in a hurry and promised never to return back again even if this was the only place left on Earth.

Few years ago, we stay at this hotel and last week we transit at this hotel again. This time the hotel provide breakfast and you have the option of paying extra for breakfast in your booking. It is a good idea, is like a mini buffet, I like the sandwich. At least you can have a full breakfast before your next trip. There is a 24 hour Indian restuarant behind the hotel but I can find any Chinese cafe around. It takes about 20 minutes from the airport. If you use the hotel transfer is 5.30 a person but you must book during your room booking not by calling at last minute. However they stick to their fixed transport pick up time not your time. From hotel yo airport is every half hour but you ned to book when you check in. I decided to call uber from airport as my arrival time do not match their fixed time. The uber cost me 35.00 from klia1. I did check the taxi rate and it cost 42.00.

My check-in was just average and LAZY. The staff at the reception was unfriendly and unwelcoming. There is also no receipt given when you checked in.
I remember, there was one female receptionist who was very unwelcoming. The minute I stepped in and smiled, she was already looking at me very rudely. And eye rolling.
The male reception who attended me was also "so and so". I remember when he asked if I have ever slept in a bunk bed before "pernah tinggal kat bunk bed?". Since it is a GENERAL question. Of course I said yes. Eventually he just gave me a towel, room key and bunk number. I was surprised because it was my first time staying at the hotel but because of my answer, they assume I had stayed there before. He eventually responded "kata pernah tinggal kat hostel" (you said you have stayed at a hostel before). Of course, I replied back and said, "of course I have stayed at a hostel before but NOT this hostel". Due to that, he finally showed me the room. To me, they were pretty lazy.
In terms of stay, the room was very noisy. Especially, when female mainland Chinese women entered. I was surprised how the hotel staff did not put a "Please Be Quiet" sign outside the room and WHY they did not brief them prior/earlier?? Atleast if they did, it won't be so noisy when they entered.
Apart from that, the reception was also very careless. He also forgot.to give me the receipt for the airport shuttle. WHICH I HAD PAID the night I checked in. The next morning, the people at the reception was asked me for a receipt for the shuttle that was not given to me. I had a hard time convincing them eventhough my name/my bunk number was stated in the list they showed me. It was really unexpected and quite embarrassing. As if I did not pay for it. So careless.
Overall, the hotel still have a lot to improve. Especially in terms of their CUSTOMER SERVICE. Even if the facilities are okay, but if the customer service is unsatisfactory. It still can bring the hotel down. I understand the staffs were tired working all day but please do not try to show it to us customers. If the staffs don't really like working in such business they should think twice before working at such place at the first place. However, the only thing I can compliment are the beds and facilities.

I don’t ask for much in an airport hotel – close to the airport, reliable airport shuttle, and a quiet room for that much needed “between flights” sleep. I got none of these with YouniQ Hotel. I can’t think of one redeeming quality of this place. It is hands down the worst hotel I have ever stayed at.
The location, the staff and the hotel itself are all well below what you would expect from an airport hotel, or any hotel for that matter. I wasn’t expecting a luxury hotel for the price. I’m not an idiot. But I expected at least the above: close to airport, reliable shuttle, quiet room.
It started with the airport shuttle. I made my way to the arrivals hall, dutifully looked for my name on a board – nothing. I called the hotel to be advised that I didn’t have an airport transfer booked. “But I have it in writing on my booking confirmation, right in front of me”. Like an earlier reviewer, I was then advised that my airport shuttle booking through Agoda was not valid. I needed to book through the hotel’s website. No advice of this requirement is provided at the actual time of booking through Agoda, so we’re supposed to just figure out for ourselves that the request for an airport shuttle on Agoda’s site, which is subsequently confirmed via email, is actually not a booking at all... What was worse though was that when I called the hotel I was first placed on hold, then hung up on, and then told to just “get a taxi”. So in a country where I was supposed to spend just 9 hours between flights, I was expected to withdraw MYR from an ATM to pay for a taxi and figure out the taxi system – the cost of all this (the 2x calls from my mobile, ATM fees, currency conversion fees, plus the taxi) was more than the cost of the room itself in the end. And it took almost half an hour to get from the airport to the hotel, which is in the middle of nowhere. Heaven forbid you arrive there hungry – there’s nothing for miles around.
When I arrived at the hotel the staff continued to explain that my shuttle booking was not valid. No apology for the misunderstanding, no “sorry for your inconvenience”, just a continuing tirade advising why they were right and I was wrong – and this when I actually hadn’t complained about anything. I had taken everything they said in my stride, yet the incredibly rude and disinterested staff insisted on continuing the conversation. In the end I put my hand up and explained “I just want to sleep, I’m here now, let’s move on”. By that stage I’d already lost two precious hours of sleep – I wasn’t interested in losing more.
Unfortunately I was to lose even more. When I arrived in the room, it was stinking hot as if the door had been closed with no air conditioning for a week, yet I was convinced there must be a window open somewhere. The noise! Oh, the noise! Too tired by this stage to even consider a shower, I brushed my teeth and got into bed, hoping to at least catch a few hours rest before the 7am shuttle.
I tossed and turned for about an hour and then finally retrieved the ear plugs from my suitcase – I am not exaggerating when I say that the noise from the highway outside was far louder than the engine of any plane I’ve been on, even with ear plugs in! Add that to the doors slamming throughout the hotel, awfully thin walls, the pillow so thin I had to double it over and the horribly soft and worn mattress, and a few hours rest was not the reality.
This hotel does not tick any of the boxes required for an airport hotel. It is not close to the airport. It does not offer the traveller any semblance of convenience during a short stop over. It is so very, very noisy. The bathroom was tiny and I’m not sure if it was a hand towel or a bath mat provided, but in any case one of those was not. There was no hand soap. The bed was uncomfortable. The pillow was uncomfortable. The staff were rude.
This is the first time I’ve made the effort to write a hotel review, and I can assure you I am not generally a fussy traveller. But I write this because I only wish the reviews I read before booking this hotel were accurate enough to ensure I either knew what I was getting myself into, or that I booked somewhere else altogether.

Response from youniqhotel, General Manager at The youniQ Hotel, Kuala Lumpur International Airport
Responded 1 May 2014
Dear Blk80, We sincerely apologize on the bad experience you had with our hotel. If you could give us another chance, please drop us an email at asktheyouniq@gmail.com. Our management would like to make it right for you. we also apologize on the 48 hours booking notice on the airport transfer policy. The reason for this is to allow us to have enough time to key in all the confirmed passengers airport pick-up requests and arrange drivers to pick-up all the guests prior to their arrival, therefore we usually are unable to accommodate last minute airport pick-up request. On top of that, Agoda's strict policy do not provide hotel partner with their Guests' phone number or email address (Due to their company privacy code) which leave us having no way to get in contact with you at all. Agoda put our airport transfer policy under "Hotel Policy" section on our listing and some guests didn't get the chance to read down to that part and resulted a missing pick-up from our end. We have contacted Agoda in regard to putting this information at the more obvious area on our listing. However we couldn't get much support from Agoda in this area. I sincerely apologize on the part of our receptionist handling the situation in less than professional manner. We will look into better training our Front office receptionist for our future staying guests. We sincerely apologize on your discomfort to our mattress and pillows. We do use the Simmon brand Hotel Standard firm mattress in each and every of our room and on the pillow, the reason for our hotel to choose this pillow it is due to its anti-dust mite functionality. We want to ensure our guests are sleeping on a dust mite free bedding. In conclusion, I representing the youniQ Hotel to apologize on all the mishaps that happen during your stay. We are very sorry.

Hi. Im would like to look for a stay near KLIA2.. what are the shops or restaurants near this hotel?
I stayed for one night in this hotel recently. There are few restaurants available in the same building outside the hotel. I have no idea about Shopping. The hotel has very cheap transport from/to the airport. Browse hotel website to book in advance.
When you do the booking request for airport transfers..they will send you a link for the pick up, submit.2 days before the arrival..they will confirm with you the pick up time.
15 RM.for the shuttle fee per pax and every two hrs for pick up even numbered such as 2om 4pm 6pm etc. Uber Crab would be around 35RM
It can be arranged with the hotel. You can check with the hotel when you check-in. I took the shuttle van to airport around 5.30am when I stayed last time.
