Hi..I had my stay on this hotel last week. I am supposed to stay there for 2 days, but I checked out in one day due to the following reasons:

a) I was given the back room which is facing the back row of the shops. My room was just behind a restaurant. It was damn noisy till 3am as they were cleaning their kitchen & washing plates. The staffs were screaming and laughing all the way till 3am.
b) The entrance to the rooms corridor was damn smelly. Understand that the management just completed the painting of the wall.

Appreciate the management could look into this seriously as the noise through the night was really annoying. Anyway, the hotel is beautiful with colourful arts everywhere, including rooms. Thanks!

Greetings Ms Anitha, First of all, thank you very much for your time in sharing this valuable feedback and we would like extend our sincerest apology for the unpleasant experience. One of the major purposes of online reviews is to highlight areas for improvement and your feedback provides our hotel with valuable information that we can review to improve on for the future. We apologize for the paint smell because you are right, we just repainted the walls and the doors during that time, and we underestimated the time needed for the smell to go away. Please be assured that the smell has already gone. Thank you for your comments about the noise issue - our management take this issue very seriously and we have decided to hire experts to replace all the windows facing the back row to thicker layer windows with better noise insulation. The work is set to be done in 2 weeks time and once the work is completed we would like to invite you to revisit our hotel and let us know what you think. Once again, thank you for the great feedback and look forward to welcoming you back. Take care and be well Jenny Liow General Manager

Nothing special about the hotel. The wallpaper and decor makes it different from other hotel. The only plus point is the hotel room is big & spacious if you take the family room.

You need to pay RM$10/hr if you want to have early check in. The breakfast is lousy and so pathetic. Better to have your breakfast elsewhere. The staff are not so friendly.

For the price that I paid, I can go to the more established hotels in the other areas.

The hotel is good but they did not inform beforehand that triple rooms is on a separate building with deluxe rooms and I have to travel to and fro because we booked 2 triple rooms and 2 deluxe rooms. (quite troublesome). There's Mydin(convenience shop) below the hotel, convenient indeed. Breakfast are boring because they only serve set breakfast, a choice of either fried bihun, fried rice or a set of bread, kaya and 2 boiled eggs.

Hi MelakaLady, Thank you so much for your valueble comment! It is regretable that we were not able to provide you with a better experience. We have taken note on your issue and have made some changes on the room allocation for each individual building. Also, should the rooms be available and the situation allows it, we would always be able to arrange your rooms to be side by side, together with your friends and families. Please be sure to approach our hotel receptionist for assistance. Moreover, our breakfast items has increased as well, which means more selections and choices to satisfy your palates and cravings. Should there be any questions with regards to anything at all, please feel free to contact any of our hotel representative. Once again, thank you so much, and we do wish to welcome you again. Do try out a different theme for a different experience for your next visit. Warm regards, Jenny Liow General Manager

Due to early flight, we arrived about 4 hours in advance of the official check-in time of 2:00pm. We were greeted by the 2 front desk staff who were busy chatting with each other. When asked if early check-in is possible, I was surprised to hear that only if we are willing to pay for RM10 per hour for each room. As we were on a business trip with minimum luggage, we disagree with the additional charges and decided to deposit the luggage instead. I was bewildered when one of them start to ask for our documents and check us in with our room keys, but on the condition that we cannot have access to the room until the check-in time. When we were back in the evening, the lift were down and we had to use the dark staircase to reach our room. Both of the rooms we booked were not as clean as in the reviews. The sound-proofing was quite bad and it was very noisy even after midnight, luckily we only need to stay for 2 nights. The only positive review was it was conveniently located near to 2 convenience stores and a restaurant.

Your comments are very important for our improvement, ensuring a better experience for our guests in the future. First of all, we trully apologize for all the bad experience you had to undergo throughout your stay. We have recently changed our hotel policy with regards to early check-ins. The hotel did experience problems with the elevators during your stay, but rest assured as it has now been rectified. We have also improved the sound proofing in all the rooms. All in all, it was indeed unfortunate that we were no able to provide you with a better experience. Would you mind providing us with your contact number so that we can reach you? Stayed in May 2017.
Art Queen Room (No Window) RM158

The Bad:
Dirty bathroom floor and ceiling. Moldy, peeling paint and dirty room wallpaper. There was water coming out through the room wall and therefore I had to place a towel on the floor, next to the bed. Broken side table. Dust under the console table. Rustic electric kettle. Stain inside the mug. The breakfast, fried noodles (mee goreng), had an unpleasant bitter "kapur" taste. The bitter "kapur" taste is commonly the result of not rinsing the noodles properly and thoroughly before cooking. I decided to stay at the hotel after browsing through amazing room photos, specifically photos of Art Queen Room (No Window), at Hotel De Art Section 7 website and official Facebook. Misleading photos indeed. It was my first time staying there and definitely my last. Disappointed.

The Good:
Well-decorated lobby. A polite Malay male receptionist during check-in.

I booked two rooms (lakeview)with one single bed +one queen bed two weeks b4. When we reach there they gav us two rooms with one queen bed n suggest us to take extra bed. After complained only they change to three rooms with queen bed but no more lakeview. One of the staff said the lakeview is more expensive. Hello... When we booked online the price n the type of room is there,is the online price cheated or ur hotel cheated ? When go inside the room, the bedsheet nt change there r hairs on the bed. Toilet is nt clean n wet on the floor. The cups is dirty got coffee stains inside. The rooms even got mosquitoes n red ants. I didnt put my expectation too high but its spoiled my holiday moods. Will nt recommed to frens n family !!!

I had a one night stay at this hotel last few weeks. I basically book a week before and it was during the weekend. I booked a family room with two queen beds. On the day of my arrival, everything went well including the registration part as the staffs were really friendly and helpful. I was eyeing for the Hello Kitty theme room but it was already occupied at the moment so i ended up staying in a secret garden themed room. The room was big and quite spacious. everything was okay especially the decoration of the room itself. it is super duper nice! The toilet was also quite big and clean! i love everything about this hotel, we'll definitely choose this hotel again whenever i came to shah alam. The location was also strategic as the mini marts and cafes were within the walking distance.

First room given was small and did not prep our additional mattress as per we requested.. good service they help to change to a bigger room that is able to fit. Bathroom was small though. TV reception not too clear but reasonable movie to see. Air-conditioning ok. Overall ok experience

The WiFi was not working properly. After being informed to the receptionist, the WiFi is restarted but the next morning, the WiFi was not working again.
The location of family room also located at other building (not the main one), on second floor and did not have lift. Family room type usually occupied by elderly and they incapable of climbing the stairs for many times.

I really regretted to book direct 4 nights stay, I should tested out one night first. The mattress itch me through the whole night out, can't have a comfortable and good night sleep 😫. The first room they give me is much more terrible, without the mattress protector. Then I asked for change of room, it's better still the bed do causing itch. The sound proof is not good. You can hear outside noise from the room. No more second time for me.
