It was downright average. Rooms had rattling Air Conditioners, you bath in a weird positioned bath tub. Breakfast was the best thing as it was finally time to leave the place. I would not recommend booking there if you have other options. We did not.

A small resort facing the south china sea. The rooms are quite nice having all the essentials to make a comfortable stay. Air con as well as fan. Sunken spa bath with overhead shower, so not ideal for all guests. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent coffee and cakes in the cafe. There was a promotion discount on beverages and meals...

The place was lovely. However, I wish that the staff would recommend places that we'd visit in Dungun as we were bored to death there. The beach on the opposite was beautiful, but you can't swim in it

We were headed to Tenggol Island and drove to the East Coast from KL. We stayed overnight in Dungun to catch the boat to the Island the next day. We had originally let the Tenggol Coral Beach Resort agent book our hotel....we won't do that again as it was not at all to our liking. We stopped by the Ulek...

This was an unplanned hotel choice following our arrival from the Redang Island and no access to WiFi at our previous hotel (Redang Mutiara Beech Resort). We (2 adults and 1 child aged 7) landed at Medang Jetty and decided Dungun would be a good stop. A taxi ride later RM 250 (Approx £28) dropped us at Ulek Boutique Hotel....

Ulek Beach resort is a 20 min ride to the Tenggol island ferry pier. The hotel is rather new, the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. TV had some tech issues but then you are 50 m from the beach ) Breakfast was very good with local and intl food (French toast). If you go to Tenggol (ferry only leaving...

Reservation was done by phone. As I have stayed here a couple of times before, they already have my details and preferences. Eventhough I have stayed here a couple of times before, this is my first review of the place. The reception area has been moved to adjacent house that is probably newly acquired by the management. In my opinion,...

My partner and I thought we should spend extra on a better accommodation since it was Raya and nothing would be open. Wish we had stayed at a cheaper place. Might not look as fancy as Ulek but would feel the same. The air condition doesn't work very well, the water tank is very noisy every time the tap runs...

My one stop destination everytime I happen to be in Paka/Dungun area. Check in was smooth, was escorted to my room upon checked in. Room was clean. I got two single beds, with one pillow each. Could've done better with the pillows (flat, uncomfortable, not enough) and the mattress should've been changed yonks ago. Bedside lamps were not working, so...

“I do not recommend this hotel if you are traveling with the elderly - the sunken bath is a problem and there are no handrails. Watch out for the slippery path when it rains. You literally get the view of the sea from the lobby - not much porter service and its a lot of DIY- just take this place as it is and ask for help if you need to. Be aware that Dungun is very much a sleepy hollow where things move slowly so do not get frustrated with the local staff - their friendliness and willingness to help makes up for it.”

“Hotel do not have sound barrier walls or use sound proofing materials on the windows and doors. If you want to stay quiet, please request a room far from the swimming pool.”
