As a local from Peninsular Malaysia and an avid experienced recreational scuba diver, I have been to Tenggol > 7 times and all the famous islands nearby, to name some; Perhentian, Redang, Lang Tengah, Bidong, Langkawi, Tioman, Pangkor, Payar but still like Tenggol the best for this place is made for scuba divers. There is no street, no shopping, no...

Visit Tenggol Coral Mid of Oct, everything good.. they upgrade my room from bayview to beach front, a big surprise after a tired drive from KL ! Nice food for the whole 3D2N trip.. and helpful instructor for the 2 Days dive trip. The only sad thing is didn't meet up with Mr Whale Shark.. Sure will pay another visit...

Tenggol Coral Beach Resort is located on a small but beautiful bay. There’s a restaurant and a diveshop and that’s it. The beachview chalets are as they say, right at the beach, while the bayview chalets (we had one of those) are higher up and offer only glimpses of the bay through the junglefoliage and diveshop buildings. Nevertheless it’s a...

I would give Tenggol Coal Beach resort an average. Fairly basic which is to be expected as it is a protected marine reserve. The accommodations were ok but could have been a lot cleaner. Food was terrible and always cold and the most disappointing part of our trip. Wound up buying water and making our own coffee as the water...

O.M.G! Finally I found a hidden gem where the island was with lesser crowd even during the holiday season! Weeeehoooo. We went for a 3D2N stay at this resort during Malaysia day stretched till weekend. This island is famous for divers, however we only did snorkelling after reading comments that it was good for snorkellers too! The island dint disappoint...

I had a great experience diving here. This place is well known for whale sharks and manta ray - I was quite unlucky for not spotting either after five dives. However, the overall diving experience was good - they have good crew who are friendly and helpful, and the visibility was good in general. Saw lots of coral, colourful fishes,...

The reasonably-lengthed drive from KL took us all of 3.5 hours to get to the Dungun jetty. Full payment upfront for fullboard & professional coordination with the admin of the resort. We were promptly met at the jetty by the super friendly David and our luggage was loaded into the speedboat. Loading and waiting for the other passengers took awhile,...

Tenggol Coral Beach Resort makes for a simple, rustic, and delightful stay. The interior of the wooden chalets could do with an upgrade (the taps and shower head are tarnished and rusty from oxidation) but the facilities are adequate enough especially if your purpose in spending time on an island is not to be holed up in your accommodation. The...

It is a child friendly place to snorkle. Very nice corals not more than 20 meters and an abundace of fish. Very nice experience for the children. Something to recommend for other families with children. Also nice sandy beach. The food is average but not bad.

My first time visiting tenggol. I have heard many good reviews about the island and so decided to plan a snorkeling trip with the family. I was staying at the beach front and the room is very comfortable. Food was a variety of Easter to wester to local delicacies. Water was slightly salty but drinkable it is understandable as the...
