We stayed in Amilla for 10 nights in September. The weather was amazing and the sun was always shining. The rain (we only got it 2 days on 11 - and it only lasts for 15 mins and then the sun comes back!) The sensational experience starts from the seaplane we had to take to get to the island. Taking off and landing on the sea and seeing hundreds of small islands surrounded by blue waters from above already makes you feel in paradise! We stayed in a sunset villa, a huge Villa literally on the water, always clean and fresh smelling, with a huge bed and a very spacious double bathroom. Equipped with a large patio with infinity pool overlooking the sea and direct access to the water. A dream! Amilla is also called "island of surprises", in fact every day they please you with small and tasty homemade snacks. We celebrated our anniversary and they surprised us with a dinner on the beach surrounded by lots of candle lights and an excellent bottle of wine. So romantic! Upon arrival they assign you a "Katheeb", which is the Maldivian term for the butler. Each Villa has a personal one. Ours is called "Buddy" And it was one of the best parts of our trip: nice, efficient, polite, kind, always available and he made every moment splendid, satisfying every minimum request and even exceeding our expectations. An immeasurable gift! The resort is wonderful and complete: pristine beaches with cute hermit crabs and shells, a huge swimming pool surrounded by palm trees and super comfortable sunbeds and tables where you can have breakfast or dinner on the edge, a very high variety of restaurants ranging from Italian, to Japanese, Indian and Asian/Thai, a shisha bar, two other restaurants for lunch where you can literally eat in front of the sea, with your feet in the sand. Breakfast is one of the great parts: super various and full of food, from salty to sweet, from European cuisine to intercontinental to Maldivian. Herbal teas, kombucha, fruit, homemade yogurt with local fruits, hot dishes ... In short, incredible! All dishes are fresh and impeccably prepared. The quality of the food and the balance of flavors in the dishes is among the best I have ever tried in my life. I also asked the chef for a couple of recipes of dishes I tasted and he kindly gave them to me! This is where the best part begins: the staff. Every single employee is very kind, super smiling, always attentive to the customer's needs and very polite. I had the chance to talk to many of them and each has their own stories to tell, each with a very interesting background. Amilla is a 360-degree experience, it fills all the senses; the view with the splendor of the sunset on the sea, the sense of smell with the scents of the jungle and vegetation to cross with the bikes supplied with the Villa, the taste with the appetizing food, the hearing with the sound of the waves that wake you up at morning, the touch with the fine grains of sand that slip on you, but above all the heart with the sense of peace that accompanies you throughout your stay. The holiday is totally customizable and you never get bored! There are lots of daily activities to do both complimentary and not: pool party, wine testing, cooking classes, tennis lessons, drinks on the beach, live music, deejay classes, workshops at the spa to create home made products or facial massages, pilates and yoga lessons, mindfulness classes, English lessons, water sports, snorkeling, diving, etc... You just never get bored! I highly suggest to try snorkeling with manta rays. An absolutely unforgettable experience with hundreds of huge manta rays that swim next to you almost touching you. Even the massages at the spa are sensational: I highly recommend the thamburu for the body and the hydrating facial - the spa staff will dispel all the stress with their skilled hands and fragrant essential oils. Another unmissable thing are the sand bank parties: they take you to a sand bank in the middle of the sea and set up a bar to drink cocktails to the rhythm of music, where you can swim, enjoy the sunset and socialize with the other guests of the resort. We can't wait to go back. Thanks Amilla for making each day unforgettable and full!

A dream named Amilla Fushi We stayed at the resort 10 days! ! The welcome to Amilla, the island of surprises, was fantastic. All the staff welcomed us with smiles and music. We were assigned our personal Butler “BUDDY” and we were accompanied to our beautiful Villa with a sunset view! Sunset Villa! The room is crazy, I've never seen such a big bed in my life haha .. not to mention the bathroom! The Bose stereo system is exceptional to which you can easily connect your mobile phone and listen to your music while sipping a glass of wine while lying comfortably overlooking the sunset! The island is gorgeous and the photos already say it all. The Coral Bariera is full of life and colors. Every day we saw sharks, turtles, moray eels and manta rays !! Don't miss Reef Snorkeling Hopping! They took us to two uninhabited islands near the resort where the coral reefs were even more colorful. Another experience that I recommend is the sand bank visit. They took us to a sandy island in the middle of the sea towards sunset! To lose your breath! In conclusion, I must say that beyond the truly amazing resort, what makes Amilla a special place is its staff and its varied catering offer. Restaurants that focus on fresh and healthy foods, ranging from Italian, Asian, Indian and Japanese cuisine! The staff is always - and I mean always - kind and smiling! Buddy in particular was really fantastic! But also all the staff of the various restaurants: Hassan, Rufina, Jo to name are a few .. always attentive and helpful. If you are looking for a resort where you will always have some surprises and some organized (never intrusive) events, Amilla is the right place for you !! Ps I forgot for those who love tennis, on the island they have a really good professional '' Luke ''! Highly recommended See you soon Amilla

So my wife and I wanted to have a honeymoon to remember for the rest of our lives, and Amilla did not disappoint. I looked and researched thoroughly to find the best resort that suited us for what we were looking for and as well as our budget, and we decided to make Amilla our honeymoon destination. First off, upon arrival to the island, we were welcomed very warmly by the managers as well as several worked as they awaited for us to dock. We were PCR tested immediately upon arrival in our rooms. We had put results within an hour and were then allowed free reign on the island as well as being able to remove our masks. The island and the resort is absolutely breathtaking. Everything was so clean and well kept. Nothing was dirty or out of place. Our room (sunset pool villa) was spotless and well put together. When we go back, I would book the same room. What stuck out to my wife and I the most, was the way the staff interacted with the guests. After the first day, the waiters and greeters knew us by first name basis. They would give us a warm welcome to each meal we went to, or in passing they would make small conversations to see how our stay was going and if there was anything we needed. By the 2nd day, they remembered exactly what drink we order and made sure our drinks were never empty. They were nothing but professional and polite and by the end of our time there, my wife and I had formed a bond with some of the staff. A few shout outs to the wait staff: Hassan, Azid, Jameel, are the 3 that left the everlasting memory my wife and I will have. When we arrived back home, one of those individuals actually reached out to us on Instagram to make sure we arrived home safely and to wish us luck on our Marriage and that they hope to see us again. Also the 2 girls that greet the guest for each breakfast (Ishu and Mishu) are 2 of the nicest girls we've ever met. They are very energetic and bubbly, making each guest smile as they walk in for an early breakfast. All these staff members were very attentive and worked hard to make sure everyone was well taken care of. Each villa is also assigned a katheeb. Let Me me just say this, if you are lucky enough to have Buddy as your katheeb, you hit the jackpot and you will be extremely well taken care off. Buddy was absolutely amazing. He's very intelligent and knew alot about the ocean, as he is a marine biologist and a master diver, and he loves to share his knowledge with you. I learned a lot about what lives in the ocean just by talking to Buddy daily. He volunteered his time to take my wife and I snorkeling and he showed us some really cool stuff by the reef. He was always there anytime we needed him and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was the best it could be. He set a very good impression with us and we would 100%, request Buddy for our villa when we can make it back to Amilla. The managers Jason and Victoria were always making rounds during breakfast and lunch to check on staff and to make sure all was well. Mark (HR) was also very attentive and was non stop moving around to accommodate the guests on the island. Mark found out through our conversations that I was a football fan and we would have morning conversations about football. The food was amazing, everything was fresh and cooked to order. The drinks were also made to perfection. Overall we literally have absolutely nothing negative to say about this resort. We are already looking to make a return trip in the near future , as this particular resort set the bar extremely high. If anyone is on the fence about choosing this resort or another, we highly suggest to pull the trigger and book Amilla. You will NOT be disappointed.

Hi Christopher  Thank you for writing such a comprehensive and glowing review of your honeymoon at Amilla. I am so deeply thrilled to hear about the special touches our staff made during (and after) your stay, we pride ourselves on personal and unscripted service and it is wonderful to have feedback showing we are achieving this.  Our policy of PCR testing all staff and guests on arrival to the resort, on our own PCR machine, does allow guests to feel safe and free on the island which is important right now.  We hope to welcome you back for your first wedding anniversary next year!  Regards  Jason Kruse jason@amilla.com

We had such an amazing stay at Amilla Fushi. Our room was perfect. We booked the Open Water Sunset Villa. It was so beautiful waking up with the sound of the sea. Jumping into the water and go snorkeling directly in the morning or whenever you want. The staff there is perfect. Everyone is friendly and all the time happy. Our housekeeper Waheed was such a warm and friendly person. We loved to meet him. Conrad, our wine sommelier and waiter, he is such a cool guy. We Loved to laugh with him all the time. Ayaz, our waiter at dinner events. Very warm and friendly . Thank you for you good job! We loved having breakfast and dinner in the restaurants every time. We also loved our bike trips around the island and hanging out at the beaches. The island is very nice looking nearly like a jungle. With exotic birds and giant bats flying aroung. The dive center there is very good. We made plenty of dives. It was amaaaazing!!! Sappe my dive guide was very very good. It was so much fun to share the time with him underwater and he really has a feeling for the right situations exploring the best things underwater!!!!! It was just a perfect stay and we hated to leave. I can recommend this ressort for 100 percent and we really would like to come back.

Hi Dominik, We appreciate so much you taking the time to write such a glowing review of your time at Amilla Maldives. I am thrilled to see so many staff names mentioned that made a positive impact on your stay with us.  As mentioned we do have a naturally lush island, we still have 70% of the island with natural foliage, which means we have a lot of space to play. I am so glad you enjoyed the space as well as the underwater world.  The team and I look forward to welcoming you back to our island soon.   Island regards  Jason Kruse jason@amilla.com

Unbelievable stay at Amilla Fushi. All covid protocols were in place from the start and we immediately felt safe. Treetop villas so unique especially compared to the common beach and ocean villas that we decided to go for it. Every little detail was thought of and the bathroom was bliss. At eye level with the coconuts and fruit bats was such a winner for us. It was my partner's 30th birthday during our stay and all staff members wished him, brought him a surprise cake and the beautiful singer even sang to him ... talk about special! Everyone was lovely but a few special ones: Naajee & Hamdhi - Rockstars .... These guys are awesome!!! Kero - a little star in the making, always there when needed and so passionate about the island and always wanted to assist. Captain Ali - thanks for being amazing as always. Ny - You are a VIBE! What an awesome little ball of energy at breakfast, kepe on shining. Hassan (F&B) - You are too funny and made us chuckle at every meal without fail. Elena (DBI) - lights the dive centre up like diamonds in the sky. Will be back for sure.
