The small riad is well located on a quiet street within the walls of the medina. The staff us at the bus station and took the time to show us the maps and tell us a little about Essouira. The rooms were basic but comfortable, only issue is we had a twin room and there wasnt a lot of room...

I don't see why anyone would want to stay anywhere else in Essaouira. From the top this Ryad seems to be the tallest building in town and the views from the terrace are fantastic, especially together with breakfast. The staff are very friendly and host Aurelie knows what you can/want/should do and where best to do it. Follow her suggestions!

My mother and I spent three nights in August at the Riad Marosko. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived in the patio. Aurelie's big smile and nice words made us feel at home. We later met Aurelie's husband and daughter Lila. What a nice family!. My mother and I know the city of Essaouira well, and thought the...

I've just returned from Riad Marosko and would thoroughly recommend it. It's in a terrific, central location, though quiet enough that you wouldn't know. The rooms are large and comfortable and the food is great. What really makes the riad, though, is Auréle and Ingmar - the owners, and the other staff. After being met at the bus stop and...

Ingmar could not have looked after us any better. We took up his offer to have our evening meals cooked by Hassan which meant we had our own private restaurant on the roof terrace. I cannot fault this place, the room was so comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. I fell in love with the chameleons. After a few nights in...

I stayed in the Riad Marosko from July 4 - 8. I cant praise the riad high enough. it was an oasis in essaouira. Ingmar the owner was the perfect host, with the staff making the experience a real pleasure. Ingmar even arranged at short notice for a reservation for me at the best restaurant in Essaouira. Definitely the place...

Stayed in this riad for 2 nights and staff were great - really friendly and gave us lots of ideas of where to visit, good places to eat, and booked our hamman experience for us. We stayed in the blue mini-suite which was spacious as bed on mezzanine floor so space in second bedroom and downstairs. Weather was very wet...

We stayed 4 nights, two nights on the 1st floor and two nights on the bottom floor. The hospitality was so nice all the time. All the staff was very helpful and seemed very happy with working at the Riad. The breakfasts on the terrace was very nice and good, even though eating exactly the same breakfast all days was...

“Maybe higher up would be quieter (I was on the first floor and it was a bit noisy at times), and the wireless does not reach the ground floor or first floor (though you can pop up to the roof for best signal at any time!)”
  • The view from my comfortable bed (including very wide-open splashy shower!)
