The best thing about this hotel is it's position in the centre of town near to the sea. It is a very average hotel with basic rooms. We were surprised to be told on arrival that we had contacted the hotel to advise we would be arriving a day later - a surprise as we had not made such a...

I am Namibian and visit Swakop often for business and pleasure. This was the first time in this hotel and it is very average. I believe the idea is to give the feeling of being in a Hotel in the 80s and location is great since close to town. I would not recommend staying here there are allot of other...

This historic hotel is the heart of Swakopmund - minutes away from the city centre and main beach you cannot ask for a more central budget hotel. They have different accommodation types available. I found my room to be small but comfortable. It also boasts to have Swakopmunds most famous coffee shop - Café Anton.

Very unique hotel with the amazing dessert cafe on the ground floor. The rooms were big and well appointed and felt like you were staying in someone's big pension in Europe as the caramel wood interior and intimate size made it feel warm and inviting. Breakfast is great and loved it's excellent location. Make sure to get some vellie desert...

This is a well established and well known establishment in Swakopmund. An old hotel but spacious rooms and a great coffee shop! It is close to the Beach and fairly central in town. Within walking distance of most of the restaurants and shops. It does not have a bar and does not really cater for the "night-owls". Breakfast is good...

I have stayed at the Hotel Schweizerhaus, Swakopmund four times and never felt more at home. The Management and all the staff, makes you feel this is home, the excellent service, the central location, near the beach and the lovely meals available, are of the best I have found anywhere in the world. It is a home from home. An...

The old fashion and traditional good hotels , which are giving you exactly what you are paying for ! The breakfast is giving you the choises which you would be expecting. And the backyard is a dream for those who loves birds ! A good size patio outside the room is nice to enjoy the evening brease !

Yes its true about the old fashioned stuff , the oldest TV's with no remotes that even Noah would have thrown off the ark, old worn couches, even uncomfortable beds in some rooms, but we keep on going back, its weird! We have our favorite rooms that we ask for and whenever we rock back into Swakop its like home...

For a walk into town or a good cake and coffee - this is definately the place to be. Don´t expect design, don´t expect a WOW-experience. Next time in Swakopmund I rather drive 2km into town and pick a nice hotel or guesthouse somewhere else. This one is old, crappy and the owners (?) didn´t make the impression they wanna...

We have spent a number of weekends in the hotel and we love it each time. Great service, spacious, clean and neat rooms and the location is great. Great for families. And the restaurant / bakery below is wonderful. I would certainly go back whenever I visit Swakopmund.
