I visited on business and was really disappointed on a number of issues. The wifi was patchy to put it mildly (non existent at times). Used the small lounge for meetings but the hotel staff refused to serve a small lunch in that room. They insisted I sit in formal dining room which was inconvenient. Went out and bought lunch...

Everything about this hotel - the staff, the meals, the location - was perfect! My stop in Swaokopmund was about half way through my trip of Southern Africa, so it was the perfect spot to get caught up on some much needed work (I can never seem to leave it behind - even whilst on holiday!). The free wifi was...

The Hansa Hotel is a lovely historic hotel. My room had a small separate sun area plus a patio area on the garden where there were many birds. Everything works and service is top notch. The food was the best I had on my trip to Namibia. The only thing I could fault is backwards hot/cold faucets, something I saw...

Situated in downtown Swakopmund, the Hansa reflects its elegant German past. Rooms surround an inner court planted with local flora, well groomed and maintained. Sleeping rooms are well-appointed, with a small but comfortable sitting area next to the front door. Baths are of an older style, functional and appropriately decorated. The restaurant reflects the hotel's old German elegance. Well-appointed and...

Easy walking to everything in Swakopmund, the Hansa Hotel is very comfortable particularly after driving for lengthy periods. Excellent service in the cosy bar complete with an open fire when needed and one of the best beds in Namibia in the hotel room. Laundry was efficiently handled and the buffet breakfast was extensive and tasty. The décor is really lovely,...

Room was clean but faced the street so a bit noisy. Food was very rich, large portions with cream sauce on vegetables. Good location for walking around the town lots of good craft shops close by. See if you can book a room facing the interior courtyard

Beautiful old world charm hotel in the centre of Swakopmund. very well kept and very clean. Spacious rooms, ours overlooking the inner courtyard with beautiful trees and flowers. Staff quite friendly and food in its own restaurant outstanding. Good buffet breakfast. A good starting point to nearby wonderful walvis Bay and Skeleton Coast scenic flight.

Comfortable hotel with large rooms - we were on ground floor and room semi divided into sitting area and bedroom along with little sitting out area looking onto pleasant courtyard garden. Dinner was good but not exceptional but the breakfast buffet was as good as many upmarket European hotels. Seemed to depend which room you were in whether wifi worked...

I have stayed and dined at this old world, charm filled hotel, several times. On each occassion I am transported back to an earlier life of Africa - a wonderful time when customer service and silver service were available and appreciated by both staff and customers. Parking can be challenging but ensure you obtain guida6from the concierge. The rooms are...

GM or owner came greeted us with drinks and explained everything in German. Nice and simple. Room were very spacious with a view into the courtyard. The courtyard was a well keep tropical garden which invited to a small stroll. Wifi was free, slow and a bit rocky. Breakfast was buffet style, dinner a menus to choose from( type either...
