My stay was excellent! Marlin the owner, Chino and the staff, Gypsy and D-Day were so friendly and welcoming. Marlin was happy to answer my questions or requests. Enjoyed many happy hours chatting with and reminiscing wonderful tales from the past. The tropical breezes and sounds lulled me to sleep. Incredible sights at dusk and dawn. In the middle of...

Lady luck was smiling on us this past winter as we were fortune enough to stay with Marlin, a wonderful southern gentleman, his trusted helper Chino and his 2 hound dogs, Gypsy and D-Day. My wife and I spent the past 3 months in the best of accommodations possible, with fantastic views, this was outside living at it's best, in...

We stayed with Marlin for three months and hated to leave. The resort offers a unique, "away from it all" atmosphere. Marlin as a host is a gracious southern gentleman and his awesome right hand man Chino, is available to take you sightseeing. Take the kayak out onto the gem clear water or read your book in the hammock, you...

My wife and I stayed for a week with Marlin at Cayo del Sol in Oct 2013. We are in our mid 40's from Vancouver Island Canada. This place was just fantastic! everything is clean and the whole place is set up for you to relax and have a good time. The guy that owns the place is a retired...

Excellent place with great hosts. We are fascinated by the place, with spectacular views. Marlin was fully attentive to our every move, it was like being in our own place. Clean and safe boating and spectacular sunsets. We did not want to leave this place. And of course we want to recommend it to anyone visiting Panama. Thanks Marlin for...

First there is this beautiful boat ride from Bocas town over some of the clearest water I have ever seen, and I live in the Keys. We were met at the dock by Marlin's dog, what a cutie but is a serious watchdog. We sat outside and ate and drank, and drank... Then as the sun was getting ready to...

Decided to try out Panama for six months as a retirement destination, starting with Bocas del Toro at Cayo del Sol. My original plan was to stay a few months and explore the rest of the country. It's been four months now, and I'm still here. Marlin takes great care of his guests, and you can't beat the accommodations. The...

Have yet to stay there but visited and was most impressed, Marlin is as nice as can be and the ambiance of this lodge is one of a kind. The birds, the ocean and watching the dolphins off of the deck of the common eating/sitting area is priceless.

What a comfortable, affordable, and beautiful place to unwind and decompress. They views are stunning. Marlin and Chino are the most gracious of hosts and you have to try his Tuna. The location is perfect, just far enough out of town to relax but close enough to be having drinks in Bocas proper in fifteen minutes.

After spending some time in the town of Bocas, we were happy to arrive at Cayo del Sol. In direct contrast to the (fun, but commercialized and noisy) town, this little corner of the out-island jungle was amazingly quiet and peaceful. The room looked more like a nice U.S. hotel room than a Central American hotel, and was clean and...
