We had an early morning flight from David so it made sense to stay overnight in David. We were happy with our choice of the Alacala Hotel. It wasn’t fancy and isn’t 5-star accommodations, but it was clean and convenient. I would stay there again if I had to stay in David. PROs: Clean Very large room with comfortable beds...

The Alcala is a fairly new hotel. The rooms are large and the bath very modern. The staff is very friendly and helpful (I speak Spanish so it makes it easier.) The restaurant is excellent. Its within walking distance of the bus station. I was busing from San Jose and overnighted in David.

Paid 45$ for a double room thinking it was a good price but at the end it was a high price for the quality and the experience. We stayed in a very dark room with views to the car parking (woah!), the bathrooms are very poor in light and given stuff. It is a complete plain experience and poor service...

Clean, newer hotel, near bus station. Good place to stay if staying overnight on way to Boquete. Beds fine, good price, not a lot in area, some shops. Though after going to Boquete, better to get there late at night rather than spending more time in David.

We picked the Hotel Alcala because of it's location in central David. We were shopping for furniture and needed a place close to the stores we had chosen to visit. The rooms were clean and well kept, the staff was friendly and professional; they were willing to help and answer any questions we had about everything. The food In the...

We stayed one night while traveling to Boquete. The hotel is great for stopping in David overnight. Rooms are clean, comfortable, safe, and has an attached restaurant. Within blocks of the bus terminal.

I had just spent 3 nights at the Country Inn & Suites over looking the beautiful pool and water leading into the Panama Canal, with walking and jogging path right behind the property. I wanted to visit Boquete. And decided to stay in David and take the 45 minute bus ride to and from these 2 cities for $1.75. I...

Brilliant to stay fora night e.g. if you are on the move from panama city to bocas. David s a bustling small town (at least it was on a sunday morning), but nothing really special to stay longer. the bus terminal is very close (about 5 min. on foot), but still check the map before you get there.
