My stay at Yundap Island lodge was absolutely amazing! The experience was everything that I imagined. All of the staff is very friendly, accommodating, and are great teachers. Majority of the staff speak the Kuna language, Spanish, and some speak English. The cabin that I stayed in was on the shore, facing the sea. It had a regular size and...

A lovely tranquil island lodge. 10 individual circular beach houses. Very rustic. No AC, mini-bar, TV etc. Fabulous local seafood in a communal dining room. Day trips to go snorkelling on nearby islands or trips into the mangrove swamp. A really must do visit to the local Kuna village with local guides who are really knowledgeable about the Kuna history...

First off, the people who run Yandup are amazingly kind, thoughtful, helpful and efficient. Starting with setting up our reservations, showing up and taking care of us, it was all great. Is this place for everybody? Nope. If you like HOT showers, if you want chicken fingers and hamburgers for dinner, if you are picky, if you are more of...

After a short flight from the hustle and bustle of PC we found ourselves in paradise. Domi, Elvin, Tomas, Mary and laura were great hosts but also very helpful in explaining how the local Guna Yala tribe functioned. With two trips off of the tiny island a day, it was the perfect mix of chilled beach time and interesting local...

Surprise birthday trip; turning 69, and I require some "TLC". My 3rd trip, first time staying alone...but each staff member made my stay special. I had attempted a mola as part of broken wrist rehab. The "dining room ladies", while sewing their molas, showed me the "correct" way and even prepared and basted one for me to practice on. Our...

Yandup is a wonderful place for people who want to escape the world. Here are my thoughts: - Service: simply wonderful. Domi (spelling?) was my snorkeling guide who took me through the reef, pointing out all sorts of ocean critters, and then he took me through his native village. What a wonderful man. - Accommodations: I can't say enough good....

Yandup is one of those places you don't expect to find where they are and to run as they do. First time I went I had no idea what to expect but once you get there all your fear are gone. Facilities are the best in all of the Kuna Yala reservations (I have being in at least 10 other...

This is one of those wonderful vacations that you feel fortunate to happen on. But there is no real way to prepare you for it. You are transported from Balboa to Chico Playa on a very small cozy plane - they ae exacting in their weight so that if you and your companions have packed too much, they transport the...

My three-day stay at Yandup Island Lodge was picture-perfect from the moment the plane touched down in Playón Chico. I was greeted by the wonderful members of staff Tomás and Blanco and only a short boat ride later we arrived at the tiny island of Yandup. I was seen to my bungalow that stood right by the sea. I opted...

Yandup Lodge on Playon Chico is a beautiful place for relax. Good food : everyday fresh fish in great quantity and well cooked. Confortable accomodation in very large and suggestive overwater or front water bungalows. Only one special request to all people who will go there. On Iguana Island ,where you'll go to swim and snorkel, stays a small female...
